It’s funny how after a few wee tipples people are mystically, magically, and magnetically drawn to chippies and other fast food dispensaries. The night I found myself in here, I was certainly no exception to the rule. I had me a hankering for chips, perhaps with gravy… and maybe even a pickle.
This wee place did not disappoint! The portion of chips received was tantalisingly generous, and they were not overly greasy. And the gravy… THE GRAVY! Salivatingly proper, thick, meaty gravy liberally drizzled over perfect chips. I may actually walk all the way to Finnieston for another helping. Or maybe I’ll just wait for the next event in the vicinity!
I declare this to be the best chippy I have had in at least 2 years. With gravy like that, it’ll be tough to beat. ^^

Oooooooooffftt! Drinkies at the nearby Nevis followed by a drunken stumble across the road for ‘proper chips’ and gravy that tasted like all the beef in the world had been whacked into it was a perfect wee end to a night.
I’ve never actually been in the place, but when the drinkies had finished and the belly cried ‘chips! I demand chips!’ then my fried food finder kicked in and sent me directly into this joint.
Proper chips. Proper gravy (actually, awesome gravy… or perhaps the drinketh has skewed my thunking?!) Best in the area. Hit it.

i remember this place when the original owner jerry had it sadly he passed away few years ago i have noticed the fish getting smaller and the price getting higher
well last time i was in there i asked for a fish supper and when she was packing it up i asked her are sure that fish is dead she was looking at me with confusion and asked yes why u asking i said it looks like the fish has eaten half my chips there not many left ithen asked her if she had battered it properly lol

If you fancy a fish and chips then this is where you must visit, gorgeous chips that aren’t covered in fat and delicious extras ie fish, sausage, black pudding etc. Also sell potato fritters which are simple scrumptious.
