A nice welcoming place with a varied menu and good tunes. Good for kiddies with a generally chilled out vibe. Went for a Sunday brunch when our local favourite place was not open yet and it was an overall good experience, where I did not particularly enjoy my pancakes(£5.50 for 2 pancakes?). They were also quite burned. Should really have said to them at the time, but I was confident I could power through it initially. My friends had a blast, with an eggs florentine and epic sandwich clocking in at far better value, with clean empty plates to seal the deal on taste. Minor mix up with a coffee order was also dealt with promptly, no fuss. I would like to go back and try a smoothie, but will avoid the pancakes and bacon. A one off? Give it a go.

I must love this place — I keep going back. For seconds, thirds and fourths. It’s been a big hit with my mates, Stuart called it «swanky», and their mint hot chocolate is as good as crack. Not that I’d know if crack was as good as crack, but certainly their hot chocolate is better than drugs. Stayed until close tonight — the guy serving was so good natured, even when he was chucking us out! See y’all next week, I love you!

Good food & coffee and well priced for what I got. Service was a bit slow but staff were happy and very pleasant. Music was relaxing and not loud. Seating was comfortable and more importantly, well spaced out and not crowded. Free wi-fi and can also buy computer time onsite.

At this exact moment I am sitting is Sugar Qube writing this review using their free wi-fi! Being an old fashioned kind of girl I wasn’t too sure if I’d like this place at first but as it is raining I decided I’d give it a go as wondering around in the rain using a laptop as an umbrella is asking for trouble! I am pleasantly surprised with the modern, continental interior and chilled out European style atmosphere. I could sit here for ages staring out the windows at folk dashing about in the rain, and I probably will do just that! For once I am not drinking tea but instead I am getting wired into a scrumptious smoothie, mmm mmm a delicious way to your 5 a day! I can smell my goat’s cheese and sunblush tomato Panini toasting away nicely and I can’t wait to eat it. I will most definitely be back here!

Now this is my kind of place. Comfy couches, free wifi, good coffee, tea, snacks(cheese toasty anyone?), eclectic music mix, funky décor and big ol windows so you can check out all the folks walking by. me likey. Plonked on the west end.end. of Argyle Street and joining an ever increasing selection of tip top eateries and caffeine distributors, Sugar Cube spots its market and provides excellently for it. Whether your an office worker in hunt for something more interesting than a cheese roll or a lazy chap like myself looking for a place to park my bottom on a nice comfy couch, drink tea, munch and surf ra net, this is a damn fine shout if your in the vicinity. With a great selection of delectable sandwiches served on a selection of bready type substance, baked potatoes and the usual arsenal of lunchables, Sugar Qube is smart, clean, comfy, trendy and reasonably priced. Add to this a bank of internet ready PC, s and you have yourself an excellent coffee shop and a fine example of an independent place that easily competes with the big boys. Nice one Sugar Qube, you have yourself a devoted new fan. All hail the mightily sweety goodness of the qube.
