Nice pub, nice setting, lovely food. Good place to be on a summer evening. They(staff) are a little paranoid when opening a tab, and want your documents and rank/serial number at the bar. All in all though, ok :-)

This is a lovely pub if you can find the entrance!(It is round the back by the watermilll construction… despite the two doors at the front). It looks good and the drinkers and ‘tender all seemed friendly. Fortunately Betty Stogs was in, unfortunately so were some children.

We had some seriously disappointing food when we visited this pub/restaurant in June ’08. Our previous visit had been the year before, when we had enjoyed some tasty, fresh food in the pleasant garden. Alas the change in ownership was not a change for the good. Greek salads should not contain lettuce and peppers, but they definitely should have left out the soggy bitter olives. Picky you may say, but the real problem was my son’s lasagne that had a pound of tough, nuked cheese on the top, and was absolutely inedible. The other food we had was instantly forgettable and we did not want to risk a pudding! Only a partial refund was given for the lasagne. We would not go back, and other friends of ours have also expressed the same view. Sad but true.

Situated in beautiful surroundings. The Watermill built in the late 1700’s nestles on the Old Coach Road in extensive mature gardens with a stunning panorama across open countryside. A free house pub with an excellent upstairs restaurant and when the weather is fine meals can be taken under the pergola next to the working water wheel or across the stream on the large grassy area. Our family had a beautiful Sunday lunch there today(26th October 2008). Their Steak & Ale pie to die for!, a choice today of beef or pork roast served with excellent separately served vegetables. The deserts were also good quality and most peoples favourites. They had a full house this lunch time, and I reckon a good time to get there is 12 – 12.30pm as we did. Cannot fault anything! First class food & service and the proprietor is handsome too! Totally recommended!
