The BBQ chicken sandwich I had was good. The latte was fair. Overall decent food and I guess decent service. I love the cucumber water they provide. Other than that, if you’re not terribly hungry(like I was when I walked in here) I would suggest eating elsewhere.

Looks like it’s based on success formulas like ‘Prête à manger’ and the like, but(still) does have a cosier feel to it. A colleague and I passed by just as we were ready for a small lunch. The selection isn’t that large but everything they had on display looked positively nice. I had a grilled chicken panini like thing and a fresh lemonade. My colleague had the same plus a quinoa soup. I really liked the panini(I’m sure they had a different name for it though) and the fresh lemonade. According to my colleague the soup was very nice too. I believe I paid around £7, — something, which I thought wasn’t too bad, especially seen the location. The seats at the windows seemed perfect for people watching. The lavatory is opened by a key code. Could have been cleaner, but I was happy there was one available in the first place.

Surprised by the lackluster reviews. Excellent coffee, latte, pastries, sandwiches, etc. expedient service & a comfortable place to relax for a bit.

This was convenient to St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge. We ate here prior after touring both in the morning. They have a decent variety of sandwiches, most of which can be eaten cold or toasted. They also have wraps. 2 of our party of 3 liked their sandwich/wrap. Neither the iced coffee nor the lemonade was that great, though; I’d get water. We noted multiple locations around the city. If I were visiting London again, I would consider a meal here if it was handy when I was hungry.

Very good green tea and coffee, the coconut macaron was also yummy, but the staff could use some friendliness.

+Ok, fact number one: globalisation hath come+ And finally accepted: London town is somewhat the intercontinental city these days, its streets laden with franchise establishments, with the independent deli rendered practically extinct… Though one could find worst perpetrators lurking in the shadows of a most legendary architectural edifice. +Fact number two: a room with a view(or weather askew!?)+ One be needing a bit of shelter with thy caffeine after a touristic(or not) march around the old square mile. What prime location doth this appositely placed Apostrophe branch boast hither! Dine in the window seats up front, vis-a-vis with the mighty dome itself,(albeit dry) from within, or turn away and be trumped by the double trickery of the floor height mirrors reflecting Wren’s seminal glory back into your field of vision, whether desired or not. Thou shall not escape St Paul(or at least his Cathedral save for the intermittent passing of rubicund double-bedecked automobiles) here. Surely this is a good thing. +Fact number three: gastronomic miscellany+ The choice of gourmet triple S’s(soup, salad, sandwich) will impress thee so! Rye bread, multigrain, wholewheat, French baguette, focaccia, ciabatta… and I haven’t even mentioned the fillings yet. Everything made fresh. Thou shall be tempted by the pressed juice selection adorning the counter tops… free water with mint and lime always goes down well, how polite. +Fact number four: coffee not TERRIBLY poor…(though the single shot has one hankering for more)+ So coffee may not quite be the priority of this increasing chain, though for reasons stated above, your entire venture will not be, in vain.

An establishment where a croissant sandwich is stuck into a panini press, creating something akin to an old, well worn shoe sole and then, against all rules of sanity and reason, served to you on a plate… well that establishment simply does not deserve to exist. And you, yes YOU, counter girl who committed this culinary crime. Just tell me one thing, I beg of you, how do you sleep at night?!

Lots of selections in a typical Denny’s kind of atmosphere, but worth a couple extra pounds is the view of St. Paul’s. If you can get a window seat, great spot for tea and chatting with the marvelous backdrop of Christopher Wren’s masterpiece. Not a spot for great food, but there are some reasonable choices and some nice British items for the tourist.

Like Larissa D, I’m a sucker for good punctuation and this café is the best Apostrophe I’ve encountered yet! It was a welcome stop on the tourist trail on a soggy Good Friday. Firstly, what a location! It faces St Paul’s Cathedral and is close to the City of London tourist information, where a lot of walking tours start. The chain of Apostrophe cafes are great venues for a snack or a meal. Kind of a more interesting version of Pret a Manger. The gourmet sandwich selection feature choices such as the Normandy(brie, pear and watercress) or the Lyon(chicken, crème fraîche, sweet chilli jam). Toasted sandwiches and rye and raisin rolls are also available. There is also a wonderful selection of sweet and savoury pastries, cakes, muffins and cookies. I prefer cold drinks and their freshly squeezed juices were pricey but delicious. I love pear juice but it’s hard to find — nice to see it available here. This location is definitely worth a visit to rest your feet while admiring Sir Christopher Wren’s marvellous cathedral.

I go into London for work several times a year and when I stop for a drink and a cake, Apostrophe is my café of choice. This has a lot to do with their chocolate brownie, which is delicious — a crisp outside and gooey inside and a wonderful chocolate ‘hit’. Tea is served by the pot, in nice china cups. There are some lovely looking items for lunches, which I haven’t tried. Prices are on the expensive side, but the atmosphere is nice, and there are free papers. This branch opposite St Paul’s cathedral hasn’t been busy when I’ve been in there mid-morning.
