Stopped in for a bite after church. Had a great salad and pizza. Friendly service and very nice environment overlooking St. Paul steps.

What more can be said… This is a well known brand with fairly average food. The service at this branch is good and it is clean. However is average sufficient? Close to transport links making getting to it easy.

Not very cheap, not very expensive — but I feel this is a solid option and as a tourist I didn’t feel like it was a tourist trap at all despite being right across the street from St Paul’s. We started with garlic bread w/rosemary which was fluffy, doughy, fresh, and hot — really good. For my entrée, I got veal milanese, which was very satisfying. Not over the top, didn’t knock my socks off, but well-prepared balanced portion of quality food. The dessert was fantastic — do not pass up! We got a bunch to share: fondente chocolate, the affogado(very espresso-y but delish if thats your thing), and the semifreddo bianco(my fave). Ambiance is quiet and chill, service is friendly and attentive.

My wife and I stopped here after seeing St Paul’s. We started with the Ravioli Fritti(fried ravioli, on special) and the Polpette(mini meatballs). Both were very tasty, although the two meatballs I ate had nice chunks of inedible cartilage in them. For entrees I had the Risotto Zucca and my wife had the Gnocchi Zucca. The Zucca meant made with Butternut Squash, but how different they were! The Gnocchi had a béchamel sauce and the risotto had pancetta. The Risotto had a wonderful depth of flavor and was outstanding! The Gnocchi was good, but a bit bland. It needed something else. For dessert, my wife had her standby: Tiramisu. The sponge was heavily soaked in coffee, so if like a strong coffee flavor to it(I don’t) then it will be right up your alley. I had the Chocolate Fondante, basically a chocolate lava cake. Very good, strong semi-sweet chocolate flavor that definitely satisfied the chocoholic in me! Definitely recommend it. The staff was attentive, although the courses took some time to come to us. In total we were there 2 hours, and asked for our check at the same time we ordered dessert. It wasn’t busy when we were there(got there around 1:30 pm), so there shouldn’t have been such a delay. For the meatball cartilage and overly-relaxed service(I wouldn’t call it slow) I give it four stars and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

This place is pretty average. I had the saltimbocca which is pork with mashed potatoes, bacon, and green beans. It wasn’t bad, just wasn’t amazing either. The service was very prompt and attentive. The setting is nice and modern.

We came here for NYE2013⁄14 — turned out to be a bad idea. The service was soooo slow — we didn’t get starters for an hour, and when they turned up half of them were cold so had to be sent back. Another 15 minutes passed. We finally got our main courses 2 hours after arriving. The food was ok. The staff were friendly and apologetic, it seemed like all the issues were with the kitchen not turning out the food quickly enough. Bad times.

I had the Bruschetta Peperonata as my starter, Meatball Focaccia as my main along with a glass of Merlot. The service was impeccable and food was delicious. I’ll recommend it to anyone.

Had lunch today with a family member here and was pleased. Excellent starters(ciabatta with oil and some kind of mushroom/cream sauce with bread) and the mains were fabulous. I had the risotto with squash, pine nuts, and prosciutto, which was perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned. It was also incredibly filling, so I couldn’t quite finish it. My lunch partner had the sea bass with sage mash and loved it. She said the fish was just right and the mash was«divine». Are the prices a little high? Yes. But with the excellent food and outstanding service, I’m okay with the prices being a little up there. It’s definitely not a cheap lunch option, but it’s a very nice one.

Nice Italian Cuisine with quality Pinot Grigio and prosecco. I had a seafood linguine which was very nice and upscale compared to other Italian restuarants. I was impressed with the service, very professional. Would go back anyday. Bit pricey though… but still worth it!

I have never been to Strada before. To be honest, I did not like the way it looked. I thought it was upscale, a chain and it did not look particularly attractive to me. Yesterday I had not choice but to go as I was meeting there my colleagues for our dinner. I have to confess I was quite impressed. The views are really good if you are in the front part of the restaurant. If you are in the back, there is nothing to look at, really, but it’s quite nice and clean as well. The food was surprisingly good, even for the exigent Italians in my team that gave the great seal of approval to the pizza. I must say it was delicious. Not much choice and a bit of repetition in ingredients like Franco Manca, but ok. If you love artichokes, this is your place, they are in half of the pizzas(ok, or maybe a bit less than half…) The dessert was quite nice as well, so I think I will come back!

I came to this restaurant after having my graduation in the building above(why i cannot remember the building above i do not know, i mean it’s my graduation right?). Anyway, It was quite busy, but thats how you judge whether a place is good right, well not all the time. Well I can assure you it was good. First of all, strada pride themselves on presentation and this place look beautiful. I distinctly remembered the mirrored walls. The service was excellent even though staff had to deal with a large amount of people. And the food came on time. would definitely recommend it. Now back to that most pertinent question, where did my graduation take place. review edit: Ah royal festival hall!

This restaurant, being a chain or not, offers nothing. No atmosphere, no particular good service, and the food is tasteless. Except the dessert, which was superb. Not particular suitable for vegetarians.

If anything, this restaurant has a stunning view of St. Paul’s… Actually the food is pretty good as well for a chain. The restaurant was really busy, but as soon as we walked in the door the staff was quick to seat us. We sat next to the window where you just get a beautiful view of St. Paul’s. The food on the menu seemed pretty straight forward, reminded me a bit of Pizza Express. And I always walked by Strada thinking it was a very upscale restaurant, and while it still has that feel, the prices were reasonable. We started with some garlic bread. A basket came of the pizza dough baked just right with garlic and rosemary. I’m not a fan of lots of rosemary, so I had to brush off some of it, but it was delicious. I ordered the Insalata Romana. It is grilled chicken and pancetta with artichokes, tomato, olives, grana padano, radicchio, and spinach with lemon, honey & mustard dressing and Sardinian crisp bread. When it came out, there was a lot of food… the salad already comes tossed in the dressing, and you may want to get it on the side if you don’t want too much, however the dressing was delicious. There were nice chunks of chicken, the pancetta was a little on the chewy side and not crisp at all. I would’ve liked more artichokes as I think there were only about 3 bits in there, but it was the reason I ordered that salad. The crisp bread… to be honest it just seemed a bit out of place and because they stick it into the salad, most of it just gets soggy. I would’ve preferred a little more garlic bread instead. However, our lunch came quickly(which was good because we were in a bit of a hurry), it was reasonably priced, delicious, and we had a nice view. What more could you want?!

I felt like cake and a drink. Since I get heart problems after coffee, I asked the waiter whether they do decaf(it didn’t say on the menu). He’s like sure, no problem. Another waiter soon brings my «decaf latte». On the way home, my heart was racing and I couldn’t sleep until early morning. No way this has been a decaf. The cake was lovely, and the view too but still I wouldn’t go again.

I love the free filtered water! The menu is identical at every restaurant. Try the strawberry tart with vanilla mascapone cream — oh yes.

The last few Strada experiences have been a disappointment, and Saturday’s visit to the Southbank branch have been no exception. Even though the place was not as packed as it can get, it was too noisy to have a conversation, turning this into much more of a fast food experience than necessary. The complimentary bottle of filtered water is very welcome, but everything else just seems rather overpriced. The menu is actually quite long, but everyone just tends to opt for the pizza. I wish they’d alter the toppings a from time to time. On this occasion I opted for a Caprese salad. At a hefty £8.50 this consisted of half an avocado, a lot of mozzarella and tomato — no dressing. A very boring dinner.

This Strada branch Is very large, so if you need to wait for a table, don’t worry, it wont take too long! They have an outdoor area so if it’s warm enough I’d recommend sitting out there as you get great views of London over the river. The food is good and the pizzas are big an very tasty!

The main quality of this venue is the beautiful sight you have from there on St Paul’s cathedral. The food is not amazing but it is still not too expensive. The pizzas are alright and the staff not too helpless so it is a good place to stop by for a quick bite to eat and a great view. It can even be romantic if you are not looking for grand cuisine.

An absolute bargain! If you’re looking for quality italian food at reasonable prices in London, then Strada will do the job. It’s one of my favourite pizzerias in London where you can dine in a relaxed atmosphere. Pizzas are thin crusted, clay oven baked with fresh ingredients. You can’t go wrong.
