Cahoots has been one of my favorite places I’ve visited so far in my three months working in London. We made a reservation to go on Saturday night(a must). Our table was ready for us when we got there by the DJ. Everyone in my party thought the music was great and so were the drinks. Everything was very well thought out and highly unusual. The drinks were expensive at £10 each but completely and totally worth it. Think kaffir lime leaves, egg whites, fennel infused vodka, etc. Once our drinks were very delayed and the server even sent over a shot of whiskey for us … great service, too. An awesome time was had at Cahoots. Enthusiastically recommended.

The drink was good and with good environment. But the place may need more decorations if they really wish to do it properly…

Drinking ban on the tube? Yeah ok whatever said cahoots and opened up their own tube bar. I love how everyone is dressed up and in character once you enter down the stairs to the underground to the waiting room(cloakroom) into the party in the captains chamber. We didn’t manage to get a table on a Friday night(we were walk ins) but we did get to stand by the bar and watch the bar men expertly craft some of the most delicious cocktails I have ever tasted. The Cuban top for 2 was especially worth it for £18(we got 3 full teacups worth each)!

This is officially my new favourite cocktail place in London! In Carnaby street is a hidden tube station/cocktail in the midst of all the foodie lovers square of Kingley court. Even on a busy Friday evening we only waited 10min to get in without reservation! You get taken down a flight of stairs to greet the ticket officer to put down your stuff, then through the station door is a rustic bar full of pretty vintage décor. It’s a very decent size bar with a cozy area at the back that looks like a old tube carriage. There’s a lot to choose from the Cahoot newspaper menu but my favourite of the night was the Cuban top, which is like a sweet Pina cola like cocktail that comes in a tall glass mill bottle with pineapple and melted chocolate. With the two of us we were able to drink 3 tea cup amounts each from that one milk bottle so it’s a bargain! The earl grey cocktail was so fresh and refreshing as well called Katherine Hepburn. Thinking of doing a birthday event there next time!

Fabulous, just fabulous: the 1940s décor, overall atmosphere, big band and swing tunes playing on the speaker and later, a live band!, the staff in period attire and the constant customer service(I felt like I had been transported to the US with all the attention we got!). The drinks are spelled out in a Cahoots«newspaper». It’s pretty pricey for drinks but they have creative combos and names. I’m only dinking a star because as much as I loved the tunes, they were just a wee bit too loud. Thus you are often yelling to your companion to be heard.

This place is brilliant! Like others have said, it is in character. From the front doorman to the bathroom, you WILL think you are in the 1940’s. It’s perfectly executed. Now. Drinks? Are they good? Damn I was blown away. yes they good. They are epic. Presentation, taste, creativity… All top top notch. So, want an amazing themed cocktail bar And Insane quality and creative drinks? This is it. Wow folks you really hit this one out of the park!

This place is a time machine. From the minute you walk through the door and mutter your code word, gone is the touristy, modern, overwhelmingly busy central London as you’re immersed into a cosy, buzzing 40s atmosphere. The attention to detail with the décor is fantastic and the tube theme really works because everything looks authentic — including the music and staff. Cocktails were typical London prices — between £9−11 — and considering the place and just how adventurously unique the ingredients were — think peas, peeled potato skin, stock cubes etc. — I thought they were fairly priced. The staff knew their stuff with the cocktails and were able to make suggestions according to your taste — there’s a LOT to choose from. And the cocktails were great! From the music to the all-round friendly service to the cocktails to the atmosphere, this bar would be a hit in any era.

Fun tube themed bar that offers something a little bit different compared to the usual chains and tourist traps in Carnaby Street/Piccadilly. To get you into the spirit there is a code/acting part at the beginning which I found a bit silly but others seemed to love. Once down there you are given menus in the style of old-time newspapers and the servers are very sweet and enthusiastic. Loved my pea based cocktails and the live music was an added bonus. Recommend for a small group of friends gathering or a date.

As someone who thrives on things that are aesthetically appealing, Cahoots really hit the mark for me. The small underground bar has the perfect vibe for 1940’s chic, from the coat check girl to the newspaper menus and the train carriage seating to the ambient wartime radio noise in the background. The cocktails are incredibly creative and really aim to hit as many of the senses as possible. The tea was particularly fabulous served in the classic English pot with burning lavender and icing sugar dusted on top! A little over the top but absolutely perfect in this setting! I do recommend booking a carriage, we didn’t and I’d like to go again just to experience it

This might just be my new favorite bar. If you took a tiki bar and changed the island theme to an old school tube station you would get Cahoots. The attention to detail on the memorabilia and overall design are impressive and fun. Felt like something you’d come across at Disneyland or a movie set. From the ticket booth attendant, to sitting in an old coach, to the swinging live music, to the GREAT cocktails what’s not to love? The boulevardier was a crowd favorite and and the mixologists know their stuff. Drinks of this nature take time and aren’t cheap but it can be well worth it.

Visited Cahoots for the first time in November 2015. My boyfriend and I got all gussied up and ready for a fun night, only to find the theme a bit more… tampered down than we were expecting. Most of the people attending are dressed casually or in cocktail attire. It’s really all over the map. So keep that in mind when you go and just dress as you feel comfortable. The drinks are good, STRONG and diverse. I had a sweet one, an earthy one and a tangy one — all good, but be ready to grit your teeth for some strong drinks. Not that I’m complaining. The service was EXCELLENT. Not too distant, and very knowledgeable. Definitely let them lead you if you’re overwhelmed by the menu, because it’s quite comprehensive. The first drink I ordered on my own was a bit of a disappointment, but the next two I like the server choose for me and they were amazing. Keep in mind that the bar will be slow, as your complex cocktail is probably 15th in line behind 14 other complex cocktails. Glad I went, it was a good night. Not in hurry to return though.

This tube inspired speakeasy is one of the coolest places I’ve been to in London. I finally got to come her after months of wanting to and it was as exciting as I expected. When you go in you are supposed to say you are there to see the captain and then you are led to the underground station like ante room where you can leave your coats and bags for free before being taken to the trains. The girl at the front buzzes you in and you are led to your table by one of the waitresses in 50s style dresses. The menu is designed to look like a newspaper you would read on the tube and boasts 60 different cocktails. We were offered some help to choose our first one but afterwards we read the rest of the menu and tried a few throughout the night. The price is about £10 for each one so you may end up spending a lot of money. However they are great quality and I think they are worth it, especially compared to most cocktail bars where they are nothing special. The jazz/swing music in the venue created a wonderful atmosphere and the rest of the train themed décor and wartime sandbags really makes you feel like you’ve gone on a night out in the past(feel free to pretend you’re the doctor and have been time travelling). I absolutely loved this place and I want to go back and show it to all my friends. You should definitely go!

Gosh the décor is just so retro ! I love it! and I don’t know if the waitresses are bored impersonating the 70s, from their hairstyle, to their make up, outfit and what they say! But as a customer, I walked in there with thrill and excitement. The Hendrick and tonic is beautifully made, Super refreshing with mint and cucumber in it. The place is dimly lit but it kinda porters you back to the realm. Perfect for hipsters, casual chill out, tourists, romantic dates… Worth giving it a go ! and the hosts there are super friendly and professional! oh this place has a cloakroom too! thumbs up to the ladies handling all the jackets and shit all by herself !

I had a lot of fun here. Theme bars are always crazy and this is a particularly fun one. I loved the décor and the music. The cocktails were brilliant. We booked for a Sunday because my bestie from Canada was visiting and it was the only weekend night available, but the fact that it was Sunday certainly didn’t dampen the mood. It was full but not overwhelmingly so, and there was live music which really set the mood. Cocktails are about £10 a piece which are obviously on the pricy side but they’re so inventive and interesting that I had no problems paying that for a special night out at such a cool establishment! Unfortunately, we were forgotten for a while after we ordered our first round which meant we only got 2 cocktails each in our 2 hour time slot. The manager graciously gave us our first cocktails on the house for the wait(we didn’t even mention it, he just did it of his own goodwill!), so it ended up being a MUCH cheaper night than expected, but I would not have said no to paying for more drinks! I will definitely be back. :D

What an intriguing little find! Super-cool, secretive spot with sexy waitresses in retro gear, and a sense of going back in time. I had an incredibly tasty and filling roast-potato sandwich served with gravy(that’s a British goop I wouldn’t normally eat, but weirdly it was perfect with the toastie!) The noise level was pretty high and I don’t think it’s the most romantic date spot, but definitely a place to check out. I’d say ask for directions too — if, like me, you tend to get lost in your own house ;)

Wow. Just wow! After accidentally discovering this place one afternoon, my curiosity was aroused by consistently positive reviews and the novelty of the venue. My expectations of getting in were justifiably low given the requirement to reserve online. I fronted up as a walk-in post show, and was told I would have to wait half an hour. I had no illusions about my good fortune. I stood at the bar and got plenty of attention from the three barmen on duty. The place was full — impressive for a Monday night. Cocktails were inventive and tasty. I had three: the Quick One Before Flying, the Cahoots Manhattan and an earthy concoction that I can’t recall. Overall: inventive, tasty and well presented. Book ahead and have fun.

J’ADORE !!!

I was lucky enough to make it to Cahoots for a reunion with the girls from London Cocktail week — getting a table here is tough, reservations are a must! Cahoots is a great experience, walking past the ‘To the Trains’ sign was the first piece of the 1940’s theme. It really looks like you are entering an old tube station — all dressed with the original 40’s fixtures. They’ve even recreated a tube carriage inside, with booth seating for groups. The menu is an amazing themed paper with the cocktails grouped together like articles, and they are all very different and exciting, with fun names like Keep Marm’ and Carry On, the White Cliffs of Dover, Apple and Pears. We tried the Vera Lynn served in a mug that is a khaki bust of her head… topical… I also enjoyed the spiced rum cocktail — very tasty and have to have a taste of my friends hot buttered rum — I’ve never had it before and this was truly delicious, everyone wanted to try it! We worked our way through a selection of the cocktails between the four of us. I would definitely go back for more, but I wouldn’t get the food — delights such as authentic spam sandwiches await you! Unfortunately we left before the live music started — however we saw the girls all dressed up and getting ready to start the show, shame we missed the Hotsie Totsies — what a great name! So make a booking and head to Kingly Court to try out the cocktails — top tip head over a bit later to see the life music.

WOW. Wow oh wow oh WOW. After reading about this spiffing establishment in a Buzzfeed article, the bf and I were desperate to come here — a quick trip to London provided the perfect excuse and I am SO glad we did as we had a rather jolly old time. Now. Having(of course) read the Unilocal reviews and discovered that if you want to go to Cahoots on a weekend night you have to book months in advance, we weren’t very hopeful of getting in even on a Monday night. We found the entrance and were asked by the doorman to come back in 30 – 45 mins to see if he could get us in. He was so pleased/impressed that we actually came back that he ran downstairs and appeared again a few minutes later with a couple of «Day Passes» for us. We headed downstairs where the conductor ‘checked our tickets’ and — tally ho! — we were in! Upon entering we could see that it really was absolutely mobbed inside and were told it would be standing room at the bar only. We were so chuffed that we actually got in we didn’t mind and set about perusing the menu, which comes in the form of a newspaper. Yes, the drinks were expensive, but we settled on a shot of Cahooch(their own mixture of various spirits, lethal!) and a beer for £10 — seemed like a pretty good deal to us, especially given how amazing the bar is! A few moments later one of the lovely staff members told us they did actually have a table that wasn’t reserved and, still not believing our total and utter luck, we sat down and really took in what Cahoots is like. Besides a range of excited noises I can’t quite convey in writing, I would describe Cahoots as properly, utterly magical! The 40s-themed music(bit of electro-swing in there as well, I do love me a bit of that!) really added to the feel of the place and I totally loved the tube-themed pieces they had on the walls and all around. The staff were absolute gems the whole time and I swear our waiter must’ve been psychic, as we were brought popcorn when we sat down(yuss!) and then he appeared at just the right moment with the food menu. I was on my second Cahooch and beer by this point, and had already had some Champagne cocktails before we went to Cahoots, so I was more than ready for some late-night grub! I ordered a spam and cheese toastie while the bf went for a crisp and salad cream sandwich. They arrived in wee ration tins which I naturally got very excited about, and I have to say that my toastie was honestly so delicious! Yes, I had been drinking since 6 and this was now about 10.30 but it was honestly so good! The bf loved his sandwiches as well and we both just sat there with grins on our faces. One thing I would say to bear in mind is the radio playing in the toilets — when I was in I could just hear a guy speaking and(having had the aforementioned tipple) got SUCH a fright! It was more funny than anything else though! I really don’t have a bad thing to say about Cahoots, the only thing that makes me sad is that I definitely won’t get to go here again soon! GO.

Originally booked for me and friend to have a few drinks after work midweek however she had to cancel so I dragged my bf along. Now normally he is pretty fussy r. e food and drink but even he loved it! Situated in kingly court it is themed completely around the 1940’s with décor and waiters keeping up the charade. Decked out as an old underground station with boothed seating it is a truly awesome experience. Waiters take your order at the table so not queueing at the bar and boy is there a big choice of cocktails on the menu. I had the vera Lynn to begin with which was delicious and comes in a very cool glass Bf stuck to wine and was happy enough! Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back! Would be a lotta fun with a group of people!

Cahoots is a bully of a time! Bully, I say! This is a new bar in Kingly Court, which is in itself a newly designed area of Soho with food and shops and all the fun. And it’s fitting it’s here, since Kingly Court is a tad bit hard to find, and then Cahoots is a tad bit hard to find within there. But just look for the signs saying, «To The Trains!» and you’re in the right spot. Now, to go on a Thursday night, I had to make a reservation about a month in advance. And even then it was a bunch of back and forth with the very pleasant, always in character reservation taker over email. I originally wanted a Friday or Saturday, but they’re booked for months. Months upon months. She did tell me if you go right when they open, you can get a spot. But any later, forget about it. I saw people being turned away left and right. Once you have your reservation, it’s time to board the train. Apparently, I was supposed to get an email that told me I was there to see the captain, but for the life of me never saw it(and went through my emails after and still missed it). Because when my friends got to the door first and told them they were there and they had a reservation, the train porter at the door was like, «Nope. But are you sure you’re not here to seeeeeee the captain?» with a nod. They said they were and were allowed in. And then everyone else asked us the same question. You here to see the captain? You are! Once you get into the bar, it’s clear why. The whole thing is a fantastic old-world tube station, complete with the little touches like the bunk beds they used to have when the stations were used as bomb shelters. It’s the tube station on one side and an old underground car on the other, make sure to wander the space and see both. Your menu comes as a newspaper and there are some seriously delicious cocktails. Also, seriously priced. Most ones are going to run you about £12. This is not a spot where you can drink all day. Although I got the milk bottle cocktail for two, which was a nice White Russian-style drink, and it was £18 and was absolutely two cocktails worth, so not so bad there. And the staff remain in character the whole time, coming to check on your table, making sure you’re having a good time, simply chatting. The one thing, as people have said, is that it’s not a very large space but they do put a lot of people into it. So it can feel a little claustrophobic down there. But only a little. I love secret bars, so I’m already enamoured, but I think any one would enjoy the fun of this bar. Make your reservation now and prepare for your journey. Tally ho!
