This place is LITERALLY around the corner from me! That makes me so super happy to have discovered this place today. I’m trying this thing where I only eat meat once a week… and after stepping inside this deli and seeing the menu board, I knew today was going to be that special meat eating day. Greeted oh so friendly with a vibrant personality behind the counter, I ordered the pulled pork and sweet potato melt. Yum. The pulled pork was delicious(and I have high Texas standards) and the sweet potato melted on my tongue. Came with a side of coleslaw and some greens too! Got here at around 12:30, right before the crazy rush. Unfortunately had to get my food to go today, but will definitely come back for a sit down. Fun NYC feeling vibe there.

Really good food and coffee; great, friendly service. This place always smells wonderful. The breakfasts are great as are the lunches. I haven’t been here in the evening but the beer selection looks great from what’s stacked on the shelves. The pulled pork sandwich is one of the best I’ve had in London. Their flat white has been a go-to for me. The staff are always friendly.

Really pretty café, I went for lunch with a colleague and have had several coffee meetings in the venue and have always been very happy with the service and quality of the food and drinks.

This place is just fabulous. A little slice of Manhattan in London. The coffee is lovely. The pancakes are just divine. Probably the best pancakes and maple syrup I’ve had in London. Lovely staff. Absolutely epic sandwiches at lunchtime and a decent value meal deal considering the portion size. Loyalty card. Nice surroundings and décor. I’d say it was absolutely flawless, save for them not doing iced coffee. Had to go to Starbucks for a frappucino because of that, but I still go here a lot for breakfast or lunch :)

Was here for lunch on a workday. Had the pulled pork + sweet potato melt. The pork was pull-apart tender and not too saucy – the way I like it. And the slaw was fresh and crunchy. But the kicker was the baked sweet potato with a little cheese and a dollop of cream on top. It was d-i-v-i-n-e – soft and almost soufflé like creamy consistency, without being burnt. And for £5.95, it was steal too. Am definitely going in back here.

Bright, and shiny, and full of pork/chicken/pastrami! This is an NYC-inspired deli shop with the posh of East London. I like. Opened in late November 2014. I’d spied Lower Eastside Deli whilst walking home from spinning one day(Boomcycle is just a few doors down) — it’s in an area mostly trafficked by midweek worker bees in the triangle between Old Street and Liverpool Street/Moorgate Stations. Mostly catering to these crowds, I’d assume… lucky them. It’s new and pretty. Sleek lines, well designed. It’s on a corner shop with big glass paned windows and upon entering it’s bright and comfortable. It’s counter service and while I saw a lot of folks getting things to run, there are also several tables available for people to linger and enjoy. I couldn’t resist the Salt Beef sandwich — and while it was a bit heavy handed on the mustard(my husband would love this), it was a great sandwich and less than a fiver. Next time I’d just do my own mustard! The gherkins were perfection. It was a hard choice as their other options were: Chipotle Pulled Pork, Ruben, Ham Hock, Veggie(yes something even for veg heads!), Beef Short Ribs or Shredded Chicken. Lunch deal = Any sandwich(except Ruben) + crisps + drink for 5.95. NOTBAD! For those of you cutting carbs/watching cals: they have a «meat & pickle box» with any of their prime sandwich meats, gherkins and cole slaw. A nice lunch option that skips the roll. Breakfast also seems mighty tempting ranging from Belgian waffles of all kinds, porridge(under 2 quid!?), and bagels, of course. They have a small range of foodstuffs as well — nice for a treat or for gifting for a foodie friend. The guys were really friendly and I was on my way with sandwich and flat white(also nice) within a few minutes. Super nice find down here on Scrutton Street… stop in to see for yourself, I’ll be heading back for those waffles, youcancountonthat. *given the location I believe it is CLOSEDONWEEKENDS. I have not been able to confirm but will check on my next visit. Most shops in this area are closed on the weekends though, so definitely beware if you are trying to weekend voyage to these parts.
