Perfect central location with great views of Grey’s Monument and the surrounding streets! It’s a very dark pub inside however so it can feel rather dingy if you’re not lucky enough to get a seat near the windows for light. Reasonably priced drinks but mediocre food at best with the exception of the sweet potato fries which were actually excellent. The staff aren’t particularly friendly or helpful unfortunately which can set some pubs aside from others. The crowd can vary so it can be quite rowdy on match days or immediately after work. Perhaps a good venue to start the night for drinks due it’s central location.

Multi level location with a great view on a sunny day! Moderately priced drinks with an abundance of selection. Loud crowd at times, after work, Pre night out atmosphere. Can be very fun for drinks. They also offer food, quite frankly I find it terrible. Very bland, lacking seasoning and most times cold. I get a vibe that almost everything is frozen or prepackaged. A real shame. Go on! Enjoy the view and drinks. Maybe check out surrounding places for food.

Although I will admit the Northumbriam steak burger and homemade chips were extremely tasty — by the time it was served the soggy beer mat at our table started to look extremely tasty as well. I am very fussy about meat an never eat burgers(EVER)… but this sounded very nice and the menu was so small there was nothing else that appeased my appetite. The burger was homemade and made from quality meat. The staff were quite unhelpful and rude at times.

Stopped by for a beer and wish we could have stayed for dinner. The beer selection was great and the bartender was helpful in making recommendations. We looked over the menu and will be back for some fish & chips or another standard English meal. Everything looked delicious.
