Chez Moi

Chez Moi is a pleasant, if somewhat confusing, French brasserie near the fire station end of Lord Street.
Asking its customers ‘voulez vous manger avec moi’ (‘will you eat with me this evening’, I think), Chez Moi attempts to bring a hint of France to Southport’s seaside residents.
Their attempts to give their customers a fully authentic experience means their menu reads half in French and half in English (which completely baffled me for a good few minutes) and the menu itself features a good range of grilled dishes as well as a selection of French dishes like veal steak and rabbit.
Their menu does also feature a large selection of pizzas and pasta dishes though, which did confuse me nearly as much as the half French/​half English menu, but I guess they’re trying to cover all their bases in that respect.
The restaurant itself has a cosy but contemporary feel to it and the staff there are friendly and efficient, meaning you’re never waiting too long for some service.
A very pleasant and different dining experience for lunch or dinner.
