The city centre of Truro is poorly served by Fish’n’Chip shops and Walkers isn’t about to change the situation. The chips are simply awful, as nightmareish of a chip you can experience. They are just full of grease. I just can’t believe the chief fryer can serve them up with a straight face. Truely disgusting chips. Only bright spot is they do a two sausages and chips special at lunch times for £1.50, and the sausages aren’t too bad.

great crisps, I like the salt and vinegar best!

Walkers is a decent shop which is either conveniently or inconveniently situated opposite the short stay car park. The staff are great and you are allways in and out quickly. The chips are quite poor compared to Tregurra, Threemilestone or Chacewater but the fish is excellent

I don’t know what it is about this place but I just can’t like their chips! They always taste stale to me, as if reheated or kept around for ages. I know a few people who say the same thing. Having said this, they are conveniently located and do some really cheap deals, plus there is another Walkers in St Austell so some people must like them!

Walkers fish and chips shop in Truro is next to the Old Bridge Street shoppers car park in Truro which means it is easy to park. The food served is of a good standard although sometimes you can find yourself queuing for a long time at peak times. They have a take-away and eat in option. There are only about 8 tables in the restaurant but it rarely gets very busy. The portion size is about average and good value for money. Although the fish and chips served are not the best in Truro, they are reasonable and worth the money.
