We came here during a private event, so I can’t comment on what it’s like during regular service. The staff was very quick to clear tables and keep things tidy. That was really the only positive of our visit. When we were waiting for our burgers, I saw one of the staff use her long fingernails to clean her ear right before she proceeded to serve us our food. Gross. The burgers themselves were the worst we’ve ever eaten. I’m not sure if they used cheaper quality ingredients for our event, but imagine thin, flavorless beef patties between a lot of bread. So much bread, that our table ended up ripping off and throwing away almost all of the bun. We couldn’t taste any cheese or sauce or flavor. I’m a big fan of burgers and I’m not at all picky, but this is the first burger that I did not enjoy.

This place saved my sanity during my first year at BCIT. After class on a Friday, even if it’s barely the afternoon, sometimes you just need to sit down with some homies and complain about how hard your lives are over several pitchers of beer. Their new summer menu is great, and caters to lots of different food preferences and sensitivities. Definitely give their quesadillas a try, they’re a must. Burgers are fantastic and usually under $ 11 for an enormous meal. If you’re planning on staying and drinking your academic sorrows away for a few hours, make sure you order all of your beer at once. When it gets busy(like Fridays after class) service is incredibly slow. So stock up and enjoy! The atmosphere has a classic pub feel, and has pool tables off in one corner. The smell of beer-soaked wood permeates the room, a thing I happen to enjoy immensely. The sweet salty smell of relaxation. There are usually other students there having the nicest time, so even if drinking beer is not your favourite past-time, definitely check this place out for a great place to candidly unwind with your classmates.

Food and atmosphere is good. Nice pool tables and big screen tv’s. Be prepared to wait a while to be served, you’re better off going up to bar and trying to order there. Aside from continually waiting for service, this bar is a good place to go with friends and is always filled with BCIT students.
