Love the food there. Good quality and price. Services were good. Best Sushi in New Westminster.

First came to the resto just to temporarily park in their parking lot, but I was really craving for a nice Japanese food and haven’t tried any within New Westminster area and so tried it, for take-out though, since the kids fell asleep in the car and wouldn’t dare wake them up. I ordered Chicken Don, Cali roll, Tuna roll, Prawn tempura, Beef teriyaki and the Bento box. I was surprised with their chicken don coz it looks and tastes like chicken teriyaki. Prawn tempura are crisply cooked with the prawn still soft. Unlike the others that I’ve tried before, the prawn inside is already dry and overcooked. Beef teriyaki is a big serving, can be for 2 people. Bento box of chicken teriyaki is the best. It comes with tempura(2prawns and 3 vegetables), a good portion of stir fry vegetables, miso soup, and i think 8 kinds of sushi and roll. All sushi and rolls tastes fresh. It’s a bit pricier compared to the other Japanese resto we usually dine in, but with the bigger serving and selection that they have, I don’t mind at all. We will definitely come back!

This ISNOT authentic Japanese and is not Japanese owned. Ordered takeout for the first time from here. The Teriyaki sauce was good but the vegetables were cooked completely separately and no sauce added. The salmon and rice were piled together separately and there was way too much rice(probably 4 servings), and far too little sauce. Lazy chef. Will not order here again. Miso soup didn’t come as part of the Salmon Teriyaki. Another indicator it’s all about money. Again, it’s not Japanese owned. Too much rice, too little sauce and lack of care. Lazy restaurant that isn’t paying attention to the most important thing: the food. Lady at counter was typical from a non-Japanese restaurant: dismissive, didn’t say hello, was on the phone.

The last restaurant here used to be Japanese restaurant as well. The location of this restaurants brings back some memory of the good old times when there are very few Japanese restaurants around. So came here and decided to give it a try because its close to the skytrain station. I ordered the sashimi box and my friend ordered the chicken teriyaki box. The price they charge was a bit in the mid-end. Well its good they still have the combo boxes. Now a days not a lot of places has it. The sashimi was very cold but I am fine with it. Maybe it just came out of the freezer or something. But what really impressed me was their chicken karange. The chicken was very juicy and tender. I had to check multiple times to make sure its cooked and yes its cooked. Cooked at the right temperature. I am impressed! The place is ran by Chinese but the sushi is very decent. I personally like the food and will come back. There are a few parking spots available and that is a plus. As well. the décor is quite nice.

ATTN: VEGAN This is currently my favourite spot for sushi. The rolls are packed full of whatever you want(for me it’s yam and avocado) and are rolled with a THIN line of rice. Such good quality. And the service is excellent. Most servers are long time employees, they get your order right, and they remember you from past experiences which always feels nice. Super duper highly recommended.

This has become one of my favorite sushi locations. The service is relatively quick even when busy. Plenty of options for sushi lovers. The salmon and tuna rolls were great. The fish tasted fresh. The prawn tempura was perfect and probably some of the best for the price. The tables are spacious if you are ordering a large amount of food which is an issue in many sushi restaurant. The staff clears plates off your table pretty quick when you finish a dish. Parking is small, so finding parking on a busy day is tricky

The best sushi ever and always! My family and I have been coming here for the past 15 years. We have tried other sushi, of course, in Vancouver, Burnaby, etc. but nothing quite compares. If you are looking for a fancy Japanese dining experience, this won’t do BUT if you want good service, a nice, cozy and clean place to sit down, and very good food that won’t break your budget — Ki sushi is for you.

Tried their ramen, the pork are so salty, the noodle is ok, not real ramen noodle at all. Won’t order again.

Had dinner here a couple of weeks ago with a few friends. Service was a little slow, but we weren’t expecting anything out of this world so that was acceptable. The food made up for it. Not only are the prices super cheap for what you get, the food quality is surprisingly good. We ordered the house combo that came with 48 pieces for $ 22.95 and were amazed by how much food it actually was. The rolls were put together pretty well and did not fall apart as you picked it up for bit into it unlike a lot of other comparable cheap sushi places(sushi nanaimo, sushi garden etc). Not only that, but the sheer quality of the fish was great for a cheap sushi joint. The tuna nigiri tasted like a toro nigiri — soft and buttery. Our friends all commented on how this place isn’t the best you can get by far, but for the price, stick to the basics and you definitely get value here. I also ordered a half order of tuna sashimi and it tasted just fine. I would definitely consider making a trip out to new west for cheap sushi now which I would have been skeptical of before.

Want in on a little secret at this place? All their salmon is Sockeye. They have a plate for $ 4.95 where they barbecue two pieces near the gills after the last pieces of sushi are sliced off. You won’t find a better deal on salmon in GVRDIMHO.

The Lucky Combo Lunch Special!!! I have been ordering this for years: 3 big rolls and a miso soup for a great price. The staff a very quick to get your order on their smart phones and bring it to the table right away. My go to order is the Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon and BC Rolls. So Good!

Hands-down Ki Sushi is the best balance of cheap and fresh sushi you can get in New Westminster. They use wild salmon by default, their dynamite roll is different than any I’ve ever had(think fish filet, in a good way) and includes 3 prawns! I’ve never actually eaten in, opting for takeout as I live nearby, but it’s big, looks clean and has a crazy koi pond in the front. Takeout is always fast and the staff are all very nice!

Came for the Angel roll, which is an ice cream and sushi combination but the oyster roll is what is making me come back. If you like a crunch to your regular roll then definitely give it a try! The service overall is decent but not outstanding nor super special.

Best Sushi place ever! I’ve been going here once every few months and sometimes more since I was probably 7 or 8. There is no beating this place. I recommend this to every person who likes sushi! They are so great and have amazing service! Make sure to try their yam tempura rolls!

Decent place with good sushi roll options. I ordered the chicken with rice and egg. It was awful it had a strange odour. I think I’ll come back for only the rolls.

Just ate here tonight for dinner, again! Only a few places have cold, fresh sashimi that suits my palate. This is one of those places. The prices are fair, I always manage to find parking and the staff service is always good. I had the wild salmon sashimi, edamame, Helen’s roll, and dinner box. Finished it off with sesame ice cream. Yummm

Went here for my moms bday on a sunday. It was alright. Nothing too exciting. The sashimi was still frozen in the middle for each piece. Service was kind of slow, but the place was packed. The only good thing was the prawn sticks. They were delish. Ill come back again hoping it would be a better experience.

One of the best places for sushi in New West! For a chinese run place, I was actually pleasantly surprised! The food was on par with most of the midrange sushi places in Van! Better than most Korean sushi places! They have a ton of über affordable lunch combos for under $ 10! I got the deluxe sashimi combo, and it was huge and really filling! Located right across from the New West skytrain, this place is super convinient!
