Just got a pair of boots resoled here. We were looking for my boots on the shelf and I passed over mine a few times because I didn’t recognize them, all polished up with the scuff marks gone! It’s not often that service providers go above and beyond what you’ve asked for these days, so I’ll definitely be back here! High recommend.

I took a very expensive, never-been-worn, pair of Made in Italy shoes(retail approximately $ 350)) to this shop to have the bunion area stretched. When I came to pick them up, the area was so stretched that the shoes were very loose on my feet. As well, the«stretcher» left big black marks on the inside of these shoes. When I pointed out these issues to him, he replied that he had no control over the stretcher. Honestly, I think he does, but couldn’t be bothered to do a good job. Then I realized that where the guy had stretched the shoes out, the top part of the shoe had separated from the sole. When I pointed this out to him, he offered no apology or any other form of courtesy. He silently took the shoes back and gave me another receipt and said to come back tomorrow. He damaged my shoes and was rude and sullen. He never once pointed out any risk involved in stretching out the bunion area. I will probably throw away this beautiful pair of shoes, thanks to his lousy attitude, but I will give him a severe chastisement first when I pick them up tomorrow.

I just got my boots resoled here and they did a great job. The price was very reasonable, the boots were done when he said they would be and the new sole looks perfect! I love to find places like this — small and independently operated and they obviously take pride in their workmanship. We should all support small businesses like this one. I highly recommend it. Just so you are prepared, he accepts cash only.

If I was going to make a film with a modern rustic cobbler shop setting, I’d use this dusty old place. A loose«15 $ — PAID«scrawled by cracked and calloused hands caked in dust and boot polish, on the tag, string looped through my boot zipper pull, marks the cash advance forwarded Shops like this, run and fronted by the hardworking hands that manage the workload, provide a welcome sanctuary from the shallow standard of bubbly sweetness at the cash counter that most businesses are now pushing to provide. It’s not that I don’t appreciate pleasant attitudes — they win over rude and cool attitudes any day, But the authenticity of workmanship is what’s important to me, And there’s something raw and real about handing your shoes over to the guy who is actually going to fix them and knowing he knows what you want even if he hasn’t said two words. I’ll be coming back for more shoe repairs as I need them, And encourage anyone else to do the same. Good prices, tasks effectively managed, And by the way they also cut keys.
