ABaC Hotel

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and were fortunate enough to get a reservation for dinner. The woman who checked us in was possibly the nicest person we meet on our 3 week trip! The service at the hotel is unparalleled and the dinner was amazing. Best hotel/​restaurant ever!

This review is for the hotel and breakfast from the restaurant.
We stayed here last year for 4 nights for our honeymoon, and we were blown away. This was by far the most expensive hotel we’ve ever stayed at (it goes for about $ 450−500/night). But, it was well worth the splurge for our special trip (and my first time in Barcelona). This is a lovely high end boutique hotel, with a lot of staff and few guests. That means you feel like you almost own the place, and it’s an ultimate oasis in the middle of the bustling city. When you arrive, you are greeted with champagne with hibiscus flowers, and your bags are taken to your room for you. They also give you a lesson on how to use all the switches in the room (There are electronic light switches and curtains).
It was a great place to start our days with the included breakfast. We both still dream about the breakfast, served from 7 – 11 every morning. When we were there, this included coffee (or cappucino, whatever you prefer), juice, two kinds of yogurt with house made jams, plate of fruit, plate of pastries (4 – 5 pieces still warm from the oven), small jamon sandwich, and super soft cooked egg drizzled with amazing extra virgin olive oil. This is a TON of food for just one person, but everything is so good you can’t help but try to stuff it all down. This is definitely not your run of the mill breakfast since it comes from the kitchen of a two Michelin star restaurant. You can also opt to have breakfast in your room, which is also quite nice. If you’re a hotel guest you can just walk through the kitchen and see what they’re doing, which is really fun for any culinary buffs.
The rooms are beautiful, modern and muted in neutral tones. The bed is soo comfortable with a ton of pillows and super silky sheets, and you each get a fabulous Xavier Mor chocolate bar on your pillow each evening. The lighting is nice since you can adjust it to a bunch of different moods. The bathroom has a separate shower and tub. The tub is a jacuzzi with chromotherapy (meaning it has all sorts of lights to make it a little more fun). We spent a lot of time just relaxing in the tub when we were getting over our jetlag, looking out into the city from the window just above the tub. There are great bathroom amenities made by Hermes– we took a bunch home with us to remind us of the great times!
The staff here is super friendly and helpful. I ended up getting my purse stolen with my credit cards in it, and I was pretty upset. When we came back to the hotel I had to call my credit card companies, and I told the concierge what had happened. She let me use her cellphone. That was a lifesaver!
As far as concierge services, I wouldn’t say that they were the best for the kind of help I needed, which was recommendations for the best restaurants in Barcelona. They gave me some super touristy recommendations, so I ended up going to Chowhound to figure out where to go. But, it was very helpful to have someone make the reservations for us from Barcelona since we don’t speak spanish. I also had some issues with communication about the Spa. We wanted to get a Spa treatment there, but I didn’t quite understand the descriptions in the brochure they emailed. I asked for more info but they just sent me the same brochure. We didn’t end up getting any treatments there since they were so pricey anyways.
Overall, we were very happy here and it became our home away from home. I would love to return.

The hotel told us our Abaco known. Hotel nicely described and said they were satisfied. Therefore, we agreed that we could do this year vacations together and go to Barcelona to the hotel ABAC together. And we’ve done and we spent in Barcelona at Hotel ABC three weeks in July. We were really very satisfied with both the accommodation and excursions to Barcelona and after diet in the hotel. Famous hotel recommended to us and we recommend that you: D
