Fun place to sit outside and people watch. The food and service were good. We got the cava sangria, paella and tuna tartare. The paella was good but not the best I’ve ever had. The tuna tartare and sangria were great, would highly recommend those two!

Hands down the best place to eat in Barcelona. Stumbled on the restaurant and they had the best cava sangria.(Got 1 liter then ordered one more). The chorizo Sausage with egg was good and the Paella with chicken sausage and pork loin was amazing!!! Went back and tried their Patatas Bravas and it was better than the other place we tried it at. The management was great out in the patio and the service was great from the time we were greeted to when we got our check. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

For the money, this is a great place. Trendy atmosphere, good variety on the menu and reasonable drink prices. Also, in the heart of Las Ramblas area.

Seated downstairs. Nobody seated there yet, just us. The waitress(if you can call her that) busied herself setting tables. She looked at us, then kept setting tables. And setting, and setting, while we looked at her with that«ready» look. I mean, we couldn’t believe this, since we were her only customers. Finally she came over to us… we ordered their«chicken» tapas, only to be served little round fried balls of God knows what-a slimy wet interior that was ice cold in the middle. The onion soup was ok, nothing special. But we’ll never forget the rude server(youngish, 20 something, long dark hair). This was on April 1, 2016, about 2 pm.

The food is extremely tasty, but unfortunately not enough. We ordered paella for 2 people(18,50 per person) and one tallarine made of zucchini with sepia and shrimps. All of them were extremely delicious but really small portion, specially for for the price. The paella for two people is the same quality as the one for one person in other restaurants and the tallarine looked like a portion of tapas. Well, I’m not sure if I would go again, it’s too expensive to leave the restaurant feeling hungry. But if you’re going, take the crema catalana also, it’s amazing!

Food was good, and the ambiance is pretty nice. The servers are nice but they could be more attentive to the tables. I went early in the evening which was around 7:30pm and there weren’t many people there, and servers just seemed to be doing their own thing. Once we ordered, food was coming out at a great pace, just could have used a few extra drinks.

Ambience: 5 Food: 5 Service: 3 The interior is well decorated and very classy. We went around 2pm which is pretty busy but still some empty tables. The most annoying thing about this restaurant is that the servers are SOSLOW. We waited a couple minutes just to be seated and then we had to grab our own menus and waited more than 10 minutes until a server came and she didn’t speak English so we had to wait even more for a different server. She suggested the the sangria which was AMAZING, the best I’ve had in Spain and the fresh catch of the day, a white fish prepared with grilled vegetables and potatoes on the side. We also got a starter of bread with tomatoes. The main dish was pretty pricey($ 30 per person) but worth it, as the fish was very tender and the vegetables were grilled to perfection. The waitress also conveniently skinned most of the meat right before serving in front of us so we wouldn’t have to deal with all the bones. I would recommend eating here but not if you’re in a hurry because the service is so slow at first.

Although I had read all the mixed reviews on Unilocal,we decided to give this restaurant a shot on a Sunday night. We got seated right away, on the second floor of this three story restaurant. It had a weird, almost confusing atmosphere. There were velvety, red couches and chairs on the second level. The music was different– it played 50 cent, Neyo, and Spanish music. We were a bit confused. Were we at a club or a restaurant??? We got the seafood paella and two oyster tapas. Turn offs: 1. Over priced food. One oyster cost us 3.50 euros?! The seafood paella was 18.50 per person. 2. Paella was too salty!!! It had an ugly brown tinged color, not the bright orange saffron color I was expecting. 3. «Seafood» paella came with TWO clams, and four large shrimps. That was very disappointing as when I think of seafood, I don’t think of only two clams. There were chopped up pieces of octopus and maybeeeeee a 3 or 4 pieces of fish– which didn’t compensate for anything… Sprinkle the rice with some Tabasco, this kind of levels off the saltiness of the dish. 4. Raw oysters didn’t come with any lemon, we asked for Tabasco to block off any fishy taste. Overall, restaurant was descent, but not worth the money I think. Too expensive for mediocre paella and basic oysters.

Really, really great experience. Started out with some sangria, then patatas bravas, some ham, garlic shrimp, and like a quiche maybe? It was really fantastic. Service was good. Food was delicious! Definitely recommend!

A friend of my brother-in-law recommended we come here and it was really nice! Both inside and outside seating is available, though inside has a far moodier atmosphere. We started with cava, patatas bravas(they put the aioli and paprika sauces on the side, so I could dip into the paprika), and bread with tomato, my favorite Spanish vegan tapas. They had a vegetarian paella which was really delicious, though I did forget to confirm whether or not they used vegetable stock. Rookie move, I know. It’s definitely worth inquiring about, though! When we went, it was truffle season and they had an entire menu dedicated to truffles. Normally, dishes like these would run you about $ 75 – 100 in the US, but here they were only about $ 35 – 45! I didn’t indulge, since I wasn’t paying for the meal and it’s still pricey, but next time I’m in Europe during truffle season, I definitely gotta get on that.

My partner and I had our first official meal in Barcelona and it was delicious!!! We had the bread and tomato, garlic and shrimp, chorizo(egg and patatas), octopus and patatas, and watermelon sangria as well as the mixed fruit sangria. Loved it on so many levels! The taste was perfect. My favorite was the shrimp and garlic as well as the octopus. My partner like the mixed fruit sangria and it was great for him because he doesn’t like much sweetness in his sangria. I on the other hand love anything watermelon and was surprised how delicious this sangria was. I only wish I ate the paella too, but our lunch was adding up quickly from the few dishes we had bought. I do wish it was more affordable, but given the flavor, the quality of the food, and the location, I will gladly go back. Also, we wanted to try the different flavors of sangria which is why we got individual glasses, but definitely get the pitchers… such a great deal!

We spent 10 days in Madrid and Barcelona. This place was recommended by a local friend in Barcelona. It was the best meal we had the entire trip! Most everything we had was the best version of it from the trip. The Paella was good, but a bit small. The croquettes were great. The Sangria was very good and they had a bunch of different flavors to try. The best part of the meal was the flan at the end! It was the best Flan I have ever had!

We randomly selected this spot on our last night in Barcelona. It looked good and we wanted to sit somewhere with outdoor seating. We waited about 15 mins around 11:30pm. I really enjoyed the food here! We had a foie gras pasta and slider and it was really good! My favorite paella was actually from here which was the shrimp and garlic paella. For dessert we opt for the raspberry cheesecake. It was a great last meal to end our trip.

Great tapas, good Sangria and disappointing paella. Average out for 3 stars but its the paella that really brings it down. We got the seafood paella and it had a couple shrimp, some white fish and well done octopus. It was a brown color and had very little flavor. Perhaps our expectations were off because of paella we’ve had in the U.S., but it was just bland. The tapas were great– Iberian ham egg and potatoes, the ham croquette and octopus tapas were delicious. The paella just disappointed. Hoping we can find some better paella during our trip.

It was nothing impressive unfortunately. The interior was«old-school» but it was not ugly by any standards :). The food on the other hand was a bit surprising. Having eaten seafood paella in france we expected it to have clams, prawns etc but in reality it had about 4 small prawns in it and the rest of it was sausage pieces(in a paella??). Had the chicken and cheese croquettes as well. Chicken ones were good but cheese ones were made with mozzarella which is not my personal preference. But for some people it will be delicious! We also had maccaroni with parmegiani and iberian meat. The whole thing was just a stand of boiled maccaroni, little cheese on top and boiled small pieces of meat. For drinks had Cava Sangria which was very nice. Overall i would not recomment going here for paellas if you want to have the spanish experience. If that is your preference then grab a taxi and go yo Barcelonetta — they have a bunch of good restaurants/pubs offering paellas.

Enjoyable outdoor café dining good for people watching and reading or social get togethers. The waiter let me taste the rose first, and it was dry and delicious. They were out of artichoke shavings so I could not have artichoke shavings with egg. But I settled for two tapas: patatas and aubergine with goat cheese and molasses. Both were very good but the latter was especially delicious – aubergine is eggplant, which was sliced very thin and lightly fried.

My favorite dish I had in Barcelona was at this restaurant. Get the zucchini tagliatelle with cuttlefish and shrimp. It is all zucchini(no pasta) and is incredibly tasty. Only complaint is that the shrimp were not cleaned so that I don’t have to eat their poop. When we told the waiter, he said that’s how they eat shrimp in Spain, with poop and all. Those Spaniards are round around the edges! You also have to get the cava sangria. We came here 3 nights out of the 7 nights we were in Barcelona.(So my family is a bit obsessive). The décor is beautiful and really enjoyed my experience is here.

ABRAZOS !!!

The ambience is warm and inviting(the seats are literally warmed up so you’re nice and toasty inside.) I was so excited to try Cachitos, especially because of their infamous paella. My boyfriend and I ordered the seafood paella, ham iberico on toast, crab and pineapple on toast, and foie with fig jam on toast. Verdict: –Ham iberico: tasty! Texture is very much like that of prosciutto. The toast is also lightly brushed with a tangy tomato sauce. –Crab and pineapple: delicious. Mixed in a creamy mayo-like sauce that complimented the crunchy toast. –Foie with fig jam: strangely light and refreshing. Texture was like butter, but was overpowered by the sweetness of the fig jam. Weirdly enough, extremely salty between bites. –Paella: absolutely delicious. The rice was cooked just right, and seasoned well. However, I was extremely disappointed with the skimpy amount and variety of seafood. About 1⁄5 of the paella was actually seafood, which to Cachitos means a few pieces of shrimp and fish here and there. They didn’t even include mussels or clams. Are you kidding me? I took off 3 stars for that. Such a shame for a restaurant with great food.

The staff at our hotel recommended Cachitos for tapas. Being American, we thought going at noon would be perfect time for lunch. However, according to Spanish time, noon time was still breakfast time and lunch service didn’t start until 1pm, so we had breakfast here. We simply had some eggs and ham, and it came with the popular Spanish tomato bread. We also ordered churros con chocolate which was amazing! We tried this dessert at another place and it did not compare to this one. The churros were so crispy and the hot chocolate was the perfect complement. We came back that night for dinner because we wanted to try their tapas. We were seated outside and ordered paella and garlic shrimp. The garlic shrimp was good but the paella was exceptional. It had great flavors and was a generous portion. The ambiance and staff were both great. Overall, a solid restaurant right in the middle of the busy part of town.
