Hàbaluc

Jonathan and I love this restaurant. We came across Habaluc a few years ago while visiting Barcelona and are back today to remember the amazing meal we had back then. The SANGRIA is served filled with lemons, oranges and just bursts with flavor. The BURRATA appetizer was large enough for 2 but could have used a bit more kick. Overall the atmosphere, service and food are balanced and merit a 4 star rating. We look forward to eating at Habaluc next time we visit Barcelona!

Testé un midi, lors de notre arrivée, alors que j’avais trèèèèèèèèès faim, autant vous dire que j’étais particulièrement exigente.
La carte est prometteuse. C’est des plats simple mais proposé de façon originale, revisitée.
J’apprécie beaucoup la convivialité des serveurs.
Mon entrée arrive, un gaspacho, le meilleur de ma vie. J’aime pas trop ça d’habitude mais là, après avoir fait la route, et avec le gout parfait qu’il avait, autant vous dire que je l’ai particulièrement apprécié.
Le plat, pas très espagnol, des spaghetti bolognaise, encore une fois une vraie réussite.
La surprise à la fin du repas fut le prix. Même pas 13 euros pour entrée, plat, dessert avec café et boisson comprise. Le top !

He cenado un par de veces en este bonito local y tengo que decir que hay muy buen rollo en el ambiente.
Tomamos unos mojitos (flojeaban un poco) y unas hamburguesas con cebolla caramelizada, realmente buenas.
Otro día un plato para compartir y de segundo recuerdo pedir el solomillo y estaba muy bueno.
Creo que ofrecen productos frescos y bien elaborados. Sales con la intención de volver a repetir en un futuro.

Went to Habaluc for a late afternoon lunch on a Sunday. What attracted me to give it a try had been the € 13.9 menu comprising entrée, main course, dessert and beverages.
Sitting inside I realized the effort made by the owners to make the place look chic and comfortable at the same time. A few of their dishes showcased behind the desk looked particularly interesting, thus increasing my curiosity to try the first course.
I choose the salad as the entrée. Clever mix of unconventional vegetables giving the dish texture and colors that emphasized its delicious taste. Suggestion: add some oil and balsamic vinegar.
The main course had been steak with baked potatoes on the side. Being a € 13.9 menu, one would expect that the quality of the meat to be mediocre. However, to my surprise, the steak was juicy and well cooked, exceeding my expectations.
Also the final dessert was very good, completing a satisfying and convenient lunch. The quality/​price ration is very competitive, thus I strongly suggest this place for any lunch break.

Une adresse que je recommande le midi (je né l’ai pas testé le soir).
D’abord, le prix. Le menu est à 12 euros seulement avec entrée, plat et dessert. Ensuite, le plus important: La qualité est au rendez vous! Cuisine simple, efficace et saine!
En résumé: J’y retournerais pour déjeuner les yeux fermés!

A lot of vegetarian and health dishes that I find kind of expensive, and the waiters are not very attentive for it being so small. The location is great though and its nice to sit outside and have a coffee, but I wouldnt really suggest eating there, they have even forgotten to add everything onto my plate that the menu stated…

Perfecto para comer entre semana un menú de mediodía sano y equilibrado. Cantidades perfectas!
Gran cantidad de postre a elegir, recomendable. En fin de semana ya se dispara un poco el precio.

Vine aquí con dos amigos para cenar y tengo que decir que la comida estuvo buena, pero el postre fue espectacular!!! Pedí el dulce de leche con coco y tengo que admitir que jamás he probado algo igual de rico. ¡Madre mía podría comerlo todos los días! Lo demás que pedimos no fue nada del otro mundo, pero esto ese postre estuvo DI-​VI-​NO.

Nos apetecía ir de brunch un domingo y aunque no tienen la típica oferta de brunch (huevos benedictine yogurt con frutas etc. bla bla) salimos contentos. Sobre todo por el sitio que es muy acogedor (en invierno) y en verano tienen una terraza tranquila. Sobre el servicio… y contestando a algún comentario aquí en Unilocal… hmmmm bueno, digamos que es «eficaz» sino mucha floritura.
Internet gratis y de buena velocidad. Precios correctos. Café con leche de soja — todas razones para volver.

Buscábamos algo para comer y todo estaba bastante lleno por la calle Enric Granados. Encontramos de repente Hàbaluc y una chica sonriente nos invitó a entrar. Era bueno encontrar un menú cerrado para comer en fin de semana y además con la palabra «comida sana».
El local es muy bonito por dentro, es como si estuvieras dentro de una especie de haima o similar. Tienen también una terracita, pero el día que fuimos hacía mucho frío, así que descartamos.
La comida no era muy abundante y era correcta, no algo espectacular pero si era una opción bien sana con arroz y verduras. Yo comí un cous-​cous y de segundo sepia con arroz basmati. De postre había varias tartas, flanes, etc. Escogí un flan de café que me encantó.
El primero nos lo trajeron realmente pronto, pero en el segundo se demoraron bastante y el arroz no estaba del todo caliente, se enfrió enseguida.
Lo bueno es que no es comida muy pesada, para quien tenga que comer de menú todos los días, es una buena opción.

Of the dozens of cafes and restaurants on «prestigious» Granados (at least I’m told it’s prestigious), Habaluc is without doubt one of the very best! As we were moseying along Granados in search of a meal, this trendy-​looking beacon lured us in like the call of the Sirens… As the alfresco dining area was hopping with hullabaloo, one couldn’t help but be lured inside, or, at the very least. take a glimpse of their menu. The whole vibe was one of informal sophistication: from interior design, to hip wait staff, even to font choice of its moniker. Taking a seat at our table, you couldn’t help but feel that you were in a very happening spot! Overall, our dishes were tasty, well-​prepared, and visually appealing. My grilled tentacle of pulpo was perfectly cooked. Carpaccio was flavorful and fresh. Seared tuna done just-​right. On this particular night, we even splurged on desserts — something I, in particular, am not prone to order. (Both were excellent.) The food, presentation and ambiance easily gets 5-​stars, in my book. However, our young waitress definitely had other things on her mind that night, and wasn’t particularly interested in being there, whereas, mid-​way through our dining experience, she made a mad-​dash out of there as soon as her shift was done. That definitely brought the experience down a rung or two… 3-​stars for her… Habaluc is definitely a must-​go when in Barcelona!!!

Buen descubrimiento en Enrique Granados. La verdad es que es un sitio muy agradable tanto para desayunar, comer o cenar y el servicio es muy bueno. La terracita con parasoles es lo que más me gustó, rodeada de plantas y flores. Me quedo en 3 estrellas en vez de 4 porque la comida esta Ok pero nada del otro mundo, eso sí, tienen un menú de unos 12 euros que está bastante bien, con opciones variadas y en plan «sano» para que los que coman fuera de casa también puedan llevar una dieta equilibrada. Yo pedí una crema de zanahoria (yo creo que era de esas ya preparadas, juraría que no estaba hecha por ellos), y de segundo entraña con patatas asadas que estaba correcta. Tienen wifi y desde la terraza te puedes conectar perfectamente. Tanto el restaurante como los baños están muy limpios y en general estuve muy a gusto.

We were wandering around looking for a place to eat when the place we were trying to go to turned out to be closed for August. This place lured us in by looking at us and saying, come in, the food’s healthy here! A lot of things did look interesting on the menu, and yes, healthy. We had chai and all three of us got the shrimp curry rice dish. It wasn’t the best ever food in comparison to back home, but probably the best that I’ve eaten while in Barcelona, and that’s why I’m giving it a four stars. We finished off by sharing a lemon mousse, which looked small, but was very rich and filling and lemony — yum! We also got empanadas and a mini quiche for our breakfasts the next day, which were fine too. The counter guy was very nice and even appreciated my attempts at spanish. The portions were good for spain and filled us up enough, and the price was nice and appropriate for what we got. If you’re around this area, stop in and eat!

El menu del medio dia vale mucho la pena, pues la comida es saludable y buena. Creo que cuesta 12 euros y es muy abundante. Los postres siempre buenos! Muchas opciones vegetarianas. Está en Enric Granados y es posible comer en la terraza.

Just get the empanadas. We had nearly every kind and were thoroughly impressed. The waiter/​behind-​the-​counter guy was charming, who would repeat back to you what you ordered in a fun ay. You could tell he had been robbed in Barcelona by the chain wallet and urging us to hide our iPhones.

Habaluc is a trendy-​ish restaurant in the Eixample serving Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist. The interior is very sleek and simple. Service is prompt and warm. Came with 2 DC’s for a late dinner. I had the gnocchi with truffles in a cream sauce. The portion didn’t look that big, but ended up being surprisingly filling. The dish was rich and flavourful, and the gnocchi were so soft and perfect, not too dough-​y or chewy. One DC had the Argentinean beef burger, which was very big and came with a small salad. The other had the Asian stir fry, which was surprisingly good (we found that Asian food in BCN is not so great compared to what you can find in Toronto) and had a light sesame flavour. Desserts were a bit disappointing. They are kept in a display at the front and I don’t think they are made in-​house. I had the tiramisu, which was really firm. They have a nice wine selection, and I enjoyed the cava that was available by the glass.

Restaurante con camareros argentinos donde se supone que dan cocina «sana y creativa», y supongo que es cierto. Yo he comido el menú de mediodía a 12 € y estaba bueno aunque acabé a tope. Tanto que no me dio tiempo a probar el postre, aunque todos tenían una pinta deliciosa y había mucha variedad (aunque no eran estrictamente hablando sanos). En vez de esto tomé té y era malísimo. Que decepción porque tenían variedad.

No me gusta el Hábaluc. La primera vez que fui a comer un al mediodia me sirvieron bastante mal, tarde y me trajeron la comida fría: algo que dado el precio del menú no está en absoluto justificado. No me gustan los lugares donde los camareros te tratan como si te perdonaran la vida. Lo siento.
Cuestión de dar una segunda oportunidad y para constrastar las miles de recomendaciones positivas que he leído sobre este restaurante, volví en otra ocasión. Que fue igual de fallida. Creo que este es un lugar muy artificial, con bonito envoltorio pero sin alma. Antes prefiero otros sitios del barrio.

Situado en la céntrica y exclusiva Enric Granados este restaurante sin ser uno de los más conocidos de la zona es un buen lugar donde comer o cenar a un precio asequible y en una confortable terraza (con un suplemento del 10%) cuando hace buen tiempo, es decir prácticamente todo el año gracias al clima que se disfruta en Barcelona.
El menú del día es creativo, varía mucho y abundan los platos vegetarianos, las carnes biológicas y los postres naturales (14 euros). También ofrecen menús para grupos (entre 25 y 30 euros). La decoración es sencilla, el servicio es rápido y los camareros son muy amables.
La primera vez que fui al Hàbaluc además de comer de maravilla sentí que había una atmósfera especial. Cuando llegué a casa y guardé su tarjeta lo comprendí todo, una pequeña nota le daba sentido a la experiencia «Todos nuestros cocineros están enamorados». Repetirás.

Hábaluc para mí es sinónimo de te Harmony y tarta de pera. ¡Qué rica esa tarta por favor! Una buena combinación para sentarse junto a la ventana y mirar gente pasar o bien observar las flores, siempre rojas, que están en la vitrina de afuera; eso si te toca ir solo como a veces he ido yo. La iluminación es perfecta, es la justa y necesaria. En Hábaluc te enamoras con la calidez con la que receptan tu pedido y en cómo te lo dejan en tu mesa. Lo curioso de todo es que dicen que sus cocineros están enamorados de lo que hacen y sí para mí eso es cierto. Todo condice con la realidad. Son tan dulces y sanos como los productos que ellos venden. Al mismo tiempo si tienes que almorzar puedes encontrar empanadas argentinas. Eso sí que es un buen dato. Cerca de la caja encontrarás un pizarrón donde detalla toda la variedad. Tu eliges, te más tarta o un par de empanadas. Si me preguntas, eso es lo que yo te recomendaría de ese lugar. Voilà!
