Location is very convenient as its right off Las Ramblas and steps away from metro. Thats a big plus in our opinion. The front desk buzzed you in as a safety precaution. The hotel was clean but the indoor/outdoor carpet squares in the hallways were stained and needed replacing. The floor in the room was tile which i appreciate since i know its clean. The breakfast was an extra $ 10/day but since we were very close to the market, a grocery, and numerous restaurants there was no need to eat there. The beds were like sleeping on the floor. Ive never had a bed that hard. The pillows were rocks. It made for an uncomfortable two weeks of sleep. The air conditioning is like we’ve had in other European hotels which means it doesnt work. We slept with our window open which was kinda nice, but not if you’re a light sleeper because youre very near bars and clubs. The rooms are quite small so one person has their head about a foot from the bathroom. The bathroom door was shaded glass with no real door handle or lock.(its a good thing we’ve been married 40 years but I still want privacy while taking care of business – come on). That meant when someone went to the rr in the night the light would shine through the glass and wake the other person up. We solved that dilemma by using phone flashlights but that door was a big, big con for me. The room had a refrig for a mini bar that put out alot of heat. No micro. I didnt have a problem with the internet. For Europe Im giving it three stars as ratings are not comparable for USA hotels.

Location to Las Ramblas is about the only plus. WiFi doesnt work and you get a pillow per person. Breakfast in an already $ 300usd a night hotel is 20 more Stay at Le Meridien or Metro across the street
