What a find. This out of the way place was quaint and felt well off the tourist trail. Everything about this restaurant screams local and fresh… and delicious. The service was also very welcoming and informative. We were educated about portion sizes and well advised that our initial order was too much. After heeding our very knowledgable waitress’s advice we wound up with perfect choices and portion sizes. The straciatella with tomato appetizer was outstanding as was the foie gras. The eggplant Parmesan was the best we have ever had anywhere. The flan dessert was a great finish. This restaurant made for our best night in Barcelona. The only thing keeping the rating down was the room was a little warm. Overall I would recommend this great spot to anyone.

This was our first restaurant in Barcelona(and Spain for that matter)! Our apartment stay was less than a five minute walk from here and we were so grateful to have found this place and it being so close! We would have eaten here twice but our time was limited in Barcelona and we wanted to try as many different restaurants as we could in this beautiful city! Our favorite moment was really in the beginning, we checked when the restaurant would open and it stated 8pm, so we headed out around that time being it so close to our AirBnB apartment. When we got there the restaurant was still closed. We waited outside and people watched for a while, 15 – 20 min later, one of the workers unlocked the door, looked at us with a smile and said they would be opening soon. We were amused with her laid-back and unhurried attitude even though the restaurant was suppose to be open… it’s hard to explain but that’s the first time we encountered how different their culture was. My husband and I said to ourselves, I guess opening times are«suggested» here in Barcelona… Our dining experience was nothing short of amazing! The waitress explained everything on the menu. She explained the food with such passion, it was really entertaining to hear her talk about their food. We ordered the oysters and pâté for appetizers. She suggested to have the oysters first, she said«oysters need their own alone time :)» She was right! We really had to have them on their own to appreciate how good they were. We then had the pâté followed by our entrées, eggplant parmesean and their special of the night — some beef stew. The wine and food were all wonderful and filling. The restaurant is a little small, but it all worked with its intimate and romantic charm. Our first dining experience here in Barcelona was amazing and very memorable. If you are staying near the area or happen to be in the area, it is a definite must to eat here for dinner. The food, the people, the memories are worth every penny… euro… whatever!

Our experience at Lo de Flor was everything you could hope for in a quaint European dinner and is the stuff of stories. We had tried another restaurant that night, but they were full. The owner of the restaurant told us to try Lo de Flor. We got rough directions(take a left and left and right…) and stumbled on this hidden gem. It was very quiet that night and we were seated right away. Our waitress was amazing and talked us through not just the menu, but several«off the menu» items that were being offered that night. The gazpacho was one of the freshest and flavorful I’ve ever had. The Straciatella(a young mozzarella with tomatoes and toast) is a must! We also both got the tartare which was fresh and delicious. The wine recommendation was amazing(although I’m not sure there is bad wine in Barcelona…) This place is just an absolute must. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but worth hunting for.

The address is correct, but the placement on the map is wrong! I was so confused but so glad when I finally found it. The food, service, and ambience are excellent! I’ve eaten here twice and it is definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve found in Barcelona.

The red wine was perfect. And what made the experience better was a friendly service and an efficient charging station for my phone :)

Best food I had in Barcelona, hands down. From the wine, to the service, to the preparation of the food and ambiance, this place is a total winner. Our group was lucky to get a seat in this small establishment, but I’m so happy we did. It was actually pretty hard to find since there are no big signs. We had the Rillet, Pâté, Stracciatella, Entrecôte, Beef Tartare, and Chocolate Cake. All of it was amazing and every plate polished off. We ordered the Luberri Rioja which was also very good.

This review is going to be a little vague so apologies in advance! We had quite a bit of trouble finding the place as the address doesn’t seem to want to compute with google maps but got there in the end. This cute little place does really lovely Catalan food and while it was just over a month ago that we ate here, my memory has faded fast. The things I do remember: — the décor is simple but lovely and you will feel so comfortable you will never want to leave. Rustic, warm and welcoming. — the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and will help you decide what to order for both wine and food — the food is supremely excellent. We shared some started of meats and cheese and only because I was being polite, I didn’t wolf up all the food on the table. — for mains we had a steak and I had tuna tartare. While the tartare was not the most filling dish I’d already filled up on bread during the starter so I didn’t go hungry. I would love to visit here again next time I return to Barcelona but fear I’d never find it. It is worth it though, so track it down.

As visitors to Barcelona, we would never have found Lo de Flor ourselves. A friend who lives in Barcelona brought us here for dinner. The three of us shared these dishes. * Stracciatella — 13.5EUR Delicious burrata! Served with diced tomatoes and thin slices of three types of bread. * Mussels with garlic and tomatoes — 9EUR Among the sweetest and juiciest mussels I’ve had! * Asparagus with Bearnaise sauce and shaved parmesan — 9EUR * Beef tartare — 15EUR Served with a small garden salad, mashed potatoes, and thin slices of bread. Service was great. All the ladies who worked here were very warm. I loved the rustic atmosphere of Lo de Flor and the decorative touches, such as the hand drawn menus, mason jars of dried flowers lining the dining room, and vintage scales with vegetables hanging from the ceiling.

This place is comfortable with the feeling of a family dining room. It has a welcoming atmosphere, but not too much. The house paté is as marvelous as the women who serve it. I recommend this place without exceptions!
