Paella seafood was perfect for two
Nice fresh seafood and broth was a bit too salty for me.
The Catalan salad was surprisingly large with lots of fresh lettuce tomato cucumber white asparagus and a few slices of meats.
No salad dressing but served with olive oil.
Red pepper and anchovy from L’escala was served on toast was very good. The anchovies were delicious. Served without dressing

Please avoid this place! The attractive affordable menu they offer is a trap for tourists!
The sangria was sparkling: it tasted like very cheap red wine with orange juice and sparkling water or Fanta, and priced at 11.50 euros it has been the worst sangria I had in my life.
The paella was also disappointing and the tapas were scarce and anonymous.
They offered two slices of bread, one garlic flavored and the other tomato flavored (with no actual tomatoes on top) that accounted for an additional 4 euros.
The 33 cl Coke was priced 5.50 euros.
The bill skyrocketed from 20 euros up to over 50 euros.
The food and drinks quality was not worth half of the charged price. We had better food at more reasonable rates anywhere else in the city.
This was a rip off!
I sincerely hope you will stumble upon this review before visiting the place.
Frankly I suspect most places with tables on the sidewalk in that road apply a similar policy.
Save your time and money. Go anywhere else.

Don’t go here, they are thieves. Our server spoke perfect English yet he brought us larger sizes of drinks than we asked for. My husband asked for a small beer, and his was huge. I asked for a glass of wine and got a half bottle. We asked if these were the smallest, and he said they have bigger, totally avoiding our question. And he said this is what they normally bring people. This is the second time this happened in Barcelona. We’ve traveled for a month in Spain and it happened in Barcelona twice, and nowhere else. I have no desire to come back to Barcelona seeing how they treat visitors and will tell friends the same.

So here I was, this tourist, walking along La Rambla looking at all those helpful signs and menus restaurants put outside their shop. I stopped here, and immediately a cheerful guy came out and baited me. Dammit. He smiled, took the menu off the stand, and handed it to me while describing how fresh and tasty everything was. I skimmed the menu, shrugged, and went in.
Place was fairly empty, although the outdoor patio on La Rambla had a decent amount of patrons.
Food was solid — things were fairly fresh. Some of the food here is a bit of the pricy, but that’s expected for a restaurant on La Rambla. Do note, that if you agree to garlic bread and water, it’s an additional charge (like most places in Barcelona). I guess these two things are offset by the lack of need to tip (again, like most places in Barcelona). Lastly, if you want your bill? Get up and ask for it — they’re on European time, so they expect patrons to take awhile to enjoy their meals (apps. entrée. dessert… coffee/​tea… maybe even throw in a massage, who knows). Even for tourist, the expectation is the same. I tried to play it smooth, by putting my card on the table after I had declined dessert and coffee with my table cleared, and just idly looking outside or on my phone. Yupp — that didn’t work. Guess they see lots of heads in the clouds over here! This, generally, is also a common theme in Barcelona (and probably some places in Europe). Overall, a decent experience, but I probably would look elsewhere to dine if I’m in the area again.

Super petit resto, prix raisonnable, service très appréciable, vous pouvez demander une petite liqueur maison à la fin = succulente !

TERRIBLE SERVICE. There are a few places were you would NEVER EVER recommend someone to go. THIS IS ONE OF THEM. The staff was beyond rude. Sat down to order drinks on the outside grounds and got kicked out for wanting to order 14 euro drinks for 2 people and not wanting food. When looking around the other seats everyone else was only having drinks at that time. The servers were so rude and immediately made a scene for us only wanting drinks. Anywhere else is better than this place! Beyond shocked how rude and disrespectful the service was. If I could give this place no stars I would!!!
