Mil 921

Tried this restaurant on a recommendation from a local Cataluyian. It was the best meal we had in Spain.
Mil921 is a new restaurant in the Eixample neighborhood that is small, quaint, and very nice appointed. We were with a group of 8 and shared several appetizers that were all good. The Salmon sashimi was especially delicious. For my main course I had the fish stew served in a metal pot. Cooked to perfection and very favorable. Finally, we had the chocolate cannoli that topped off a wonderful meal. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a modern Spanish cuisine that won’t disappoint.

Hands down, one of the best restaurants in Barcelona. For first time visitors, sticking with the pre fixe menu (priced at 35 EUR) would be my recommendation. The dishes should all be in the photo section to give a pretty good idea of what you’re getting into with the Japanese & Spanish fusion inspired dishes.
If going a la carte, the items from the pre fixe that I would definitely order include the Ecological Freid egg which comes served on a toasted brioche in a parmesan cream sauce that almost like a very thick soup. Flakes of truffle and salt grace the top of the dish for a nice aromatic flavor.
The salmon sashimi is also a must order; served on top of a row of glazed shitake mushrooms which gives the combination is very interesting texture. Combined with the large kind of caviar or Japanese roe which gives it just an extra pop of flavor quite literally when you bite into the whole ensemble.
I could go on and on about all the great dishes, or you could just grab a friend, go to Mil 921 and split all the dishes.

Uno de los mejores steak tartar que he comido nunca, la atención al cliente y el servicio impecable como cabe de esperar en esta clase de restaurantes.
Solo destacaría como elemento discordante, que el vino tinto servido a copas no está a la altura ni de la comida ni del restaurante. Se lo comenté al encargado que tomó muy amablemente buena nota de mi sugerencia.
Sin duda alguna Volveré!!!
