Service was slow. Didn’t have risotto as the reviews stated due to being in between summer an fall season. Quaint place.

Everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic! Do not be scared away by the dark alley if you end up going later in the night. The only reason for a four– and not five-star rating is that the menu couldn have been a bit larger, as vegitatians did not have so many options.

a hidden jam with great food and ambiance. the prices are affordable and they offer a good array of tapas. we came as a group so we shared a lot of dishes including the which was good and meatballs — also tasty. some dishes were a swing and a miss such as the salad but overall great experience and recommended

We came here for dinner and had one of our tastiest meals in Barcelona here. We started out with the soup of the day which was a delicious cold soup of melon/yogurt/mint. Then we had the gaelician octopus which was so tender and flavorful. We also shared the salad of the day which was chicken with bell peppers. The salad was fine, but was pretty much just like any salad you would get in the States. We also had the croquettes and they were lovely. Our server recommended a lovely white wine that went perfectly with our meal. The prices were also very fair. Such a great night!

A little hidden diamond, the food is homemade, so delicious and tasteful. One of my favourite places.

After trying to dodge a number of tourist places, we stumbled upon this little gem to finish off a night in Barcelona. Loved the atmosphere and the waitress was very kind to try and speak to us in English. She was able to recommend a local craft beer and some delicious tapas. We tried the croquetas, which were good. The one that we would come back fro again again would have been the baked goat cheese with tomato marmalade. Between this and a couple of drinks, this is a great little way to top off an evening in Barcelona.

So delicious and truly one of the highlights of eating while in Barcelona! The staff was exceptional and so welcoming and helpful. If I ever am lucky enough to make it back I would feel truly blessed.

We picked this place solely on its Unilocal rating and we’re a bit disappointed. The food we ordered was good just not great. Some things were better than others. The mini burgers and the goat cheese were especially good. My wife had the duck special and enjoyed it. Very small selection especially for a tapas place. The restaurant is small period but that’s part of its charm. The service was friendly but slow. Only one waitress for the whole place. Last but not least, the neighbourhood is terrible. We had a late night meal and had to walk through the worst part of town to get back to the metro. Nothing ruins an experience like getting harassed by drug dealers after dinner. Overall good just not worth its current rating.

We stumbled into this glorious establishment during our recent trip to Barcelona in May. This place was but a stone’s throw from our apartment, and every time we walked by it was always packed. By the third night, we just had to go and see what the buzz was about– and I am so glad we did! The atmosphere is bohemian chic and the menu boasts of homegrown ingredients and specials based on what’s in season. We ordered 1 of almost everything(and 2 orders of jamon croquettes for good measure). EVERYTHINGWASDEVINE! The service was exceptional– and the owners are really cool and interesting to talk to. I am looking forward to visiting Barcelona again so that I can go to mirilla!

After being a bit jet lagged and a late nap we were limited by options based on what was open late. It was a very fortunate surprise for us, as this place ended up being one of our favorite parts of Barcelona. Our waitress was fun and helpful, and when we asked her opinion on items she made great suggestions. I was curious what to get for the last tapas order and she said she would have the chef surprise us, which did not disappoint. We had the goat cheese and tomato jam with toast, amazing! We also enjoyed the squid and veal meatballs with a lovingly crafted tomato sauce, king prawns with a pink sauce, and a lemon marinated salmon dish. All were great, and we enjoyed some delicious local wine and cocktails. We felt like we ended up friends with the chef and the whole staff by the time we were done and there was a great welcoming feeling surrounding the whole place, where you can tell everything from the food to the staff was filled with love and passion for what they were doing. Total five star place!

3.5 stars. Cocktails were great(I had the Manhattan and my wife had the Strawberry Rossini). Food was good, but wasn’t too memorable compared to all the great restaurants in Barcelona(we had the steak and the chicken croquettes). Service was very slow. It didn’t seem like they had enough people working to handle the crowd. Ambiance was really cool and made up for the slow service. This is a great place to grab a cocktail, but I wouldn’t go back for the full dinner experience again.

My wife and I wanted something different after eating tapas for the past week and a half. This spot was a few doors down from the apartment we were renting in the Gothic quarter, and seemed to have great reviews. We weren’t disappointed. My wife had a Roquefort salad, that she really liked, and I had a nicely grilled steak with potatoes. All in all, a great meal.

Well, what a divine combination of civilized and bohemian. Understated awesome. I can’t think of the last time I experienced a restaurant/bar with this kind of authentic DIY authenticity and talent that hasn’t been«discovered.» Languages spoken by the owners include English, Spanish, French, and probably more. Everyone was beautifully multi-lingual. Mirilla is owned by hard working young women(earning their dreams with blood sweat and tears) who happen to cook up some of the best food I’ve had in Barcelona(or anywhere) mix a perfect Mojito as well. The(mid-priced) food is right up there with anything my(sensitive, experienced) palate has known. Foodies will understand how good it is, and so will everyone else who doesn’t put on airs but likes eating and drinking. Not sure how to describe the cuisine. Spanish fusion? Not the average tapas, but definitely strongly Spanish. All the ingredients are very fresh and flavorful. The veggies taste farm fresh.(Sliced/layered winter squash, tomato, basil, goat-cheese backed stack!) Some vegetarian dishes. I had several seafood dishes that were beyond perfect in freshness, preparation, texture… Well chosen wines by the glass or bottle. Mojitos with strong mint, good rum, and raw sugar. The service is good, never slow like other places where you may have suffered in Barcelona. I mean, don’t look for fast food here, but you can expect to be taken care of attentively. It is a small place and the owners are often serving you– they are motivated and thoughtful hosts. The customers are mostly local«in the know» types at this point I think. Diverse crowd. Couples, individuals, locals, travelers, various nationalities, languages. Gay, straight, a very modern cross-section of friendly, lively, non-tacky people. Younger, older… all with worldly yet unpretentious good taste. What they have in common is they seem to be unusually attractive, interesting, and full of life. In short: like Barcelona, just the right combination of grit and pollish. I am in love with this place! Be good to them and enjoy yourself.

Had dinner here during a recent trip to BCN. Really laid-back, cozy atmosphere. Our waitress was beyond friendly and spoke at least 3 languages. Food was delicious. Would definitely come back for food or to hang at the bar.
