A good tapas place! very crowdy all time but something typical spanish. We only have a quick tapas and left but we should return back.

Stopped into this place while on vacation because they had an article in the window which stated that they have the best patatas bravas, so I wanted to see what the hype was about. They weren’t lying! The patatas bravas were so good we cleaned our plate. They also had this red wine mixed with lemonade which was really tasty & served in a huge glass. Didnt get a chance to check out anything else but the food looked fresh & you could see the chefs preparing the food.

Great divey place for locals and open minded tourists. They have steep stairs leading to an upper level seating where you may need to duck you head to walk though if you are 5′ 10″ or taller.
Wish I took a picture of the set up. but the upper floor is low enough that a customer can reach down and the cooks can hold up the plate of food to hand it to them. That what we saw when a bunch of friendly Italians men were there dining. It was pretty cool.
Food is quick service authentic and friendly.
Don’t be scared of the baby octopus. we liked the fresh roasted pimento peppers.

Authentic, not a tourist trap, amazing food and drinks. What more do you want?! Try the pescaditos fritos!

Un soir de finale de coupe du Monde qui s’éternise, nous avons très faim après avoir attendu le résultat du match… On est dimanche et il est passé minuit, mais Barcelone oblige, il reste encore quelques restaurants prêts à nous accueillir.
Cette taverne rustique bardée de recommandations de guides touristiques, au détour d’une rue du Barri Gotic, nous ouvre les bras.
Servis en moins de dix minutes, on retrouve sur la table les 4 assiettes très généreuses de tapas commandées: poulpes sautées à l’ail, salade d’été, aubergines grillées et patatas bravas, la spécialité de la maison. Tout est bon, mais les patatas bravas surclassent le reste effectivement… les meilleures pour moi à ce jour. Parfaitement cuites, avec la juste dose de sauce et d’épices… On en redemande une assiette qui nous arrive en deux minutes. Après ce festin, on s’en sort à 13 euros par personne, une boisson comprise.
Côté ambiance, c’est une pure taverne espagnole, zéro chichis, bois sombre, hommes en cuisine et télévision en fond sonore… mais c’est comme ça que j’aime manger les tapas!

Bar ubicado en el corazon del born. Local rustico, muy autentico tanto la comida como los camareros que te sirven la comida al ritmo de las conversaciones ajenas que te rodean.
Las raciones son generosas pero las cobran bien. Para beber puedes elegir entre un gran surtido de vinos, cervezas y como no la gran acompañante del tapeo, la sangria.

Der Laden ist der Hammer. Die Holzkonstruktion, die den Raum teilweise in zwei Stockwerke teilt, würde wohl jedem deutschen Beamten in den Herzinfarkt treiben.
Der Chef legt einem zu Anfang die dreisprachige, durchnummerierte Karte (spanisch, catalan, englisch) zusammen mit Block und Stift hin verschwindet wortlos und kommt erst wieder wenn man die Nummern der gewünschten Tapas aufgeschrieben hat nimmt noch die Getränke auf und verschwindet wieder.
Was dann an Tapas kommt ist genial. (Vorsicht bei den gegrillten Peperoni, die lassen so manchem Gast die Brille beschlagen :-))
Mein Tip den Pulpo a la Plancha unbedingt probieren.
Die, teilweise schon etwas betagten, Herren hinter dem Tresen, wirbeln mit einer wahnsinnigen Geschwindigkeit durch das enge Restaurant (auch in den 1. Stock der Holzkonstruktion über die superenge Treppe).
Gibt nur einen Stern Abzug, weil man dort sitzt wie in der Sardinenbüchse.
Trotzdem: Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!!!

El Tropezon is a great find for tapas just off of Colon. It’s a two-​storey tapas place that packs in the tables and overflows with groups and diners almost every night. The tapas menu is pretty standard — montaditos, pescado, bravas, tortillas, some veggies and of course, pan amb tomaca.
The food is pretty standard Spanish bar food — nothing fancy and straight-​forward. The ambiance is very old school and the chefs/​servers are friendly and fun. Great for groups, cheap eats and large beers.

Wenig überzeugend, da der Service angesichts des nahenden Feierabends mehr damit beschäftigt war Serviettenhalter aufzufüllen, statt sich um die Gäste zu kümmern.

¡Atención! ¡Atención! ¡Me tropecé con El Tropezón y me llevé un «chascón»! Si es que… Ya, ya… Ya lo sé… Debí haberlo imaginado por el nombre. La palabra tropezón lleva implícito un sentido negativo. Al menos desde mi punto de vista… Pero el caso es que, sí… El otro día me tropecé con este lugar y entré. Había pasado muchas veces por delante y, como siempre lo veía lleno, me decía: «Buena señal. Algún día lo probarás». Y así fue. Llevé a unos amigos holandeses que vinieron a visitar la ciudad y les apetecía tomar tapas: tortilla patatas, croquetas, bravas… ¡Este tipo de cosas! Los pobres venían con hambre porque, cuando visitas otra ciudad, siempre tienes hambre, ¿verdad? El caso es que, quizás porque nos oyeron hablar en inglés, quizás porque son inherentemente rancios, todo lo que nos sirvieron fue pura y dura miseria. ¿Y respecto al precio y a la calidad? Respecto esto, mejor me voy a callar. ¡No sea caso de que me vengan a buscar!
