Amazing place for breakfast or Brunch. The food was delicious and worthy the price. Poached eggs started well our great day in Barcelona!

How can you be named The Benedict and not know how to poach an egg? My boyfriend and I got two different benedicts and all four of the eggs were cooked to death. As we continued eating our meal we noticed that all the benedicts that other people ordered near us were overcooked as well. Really disappointing :(

You have the choice between various eggs + a drink coffee or juice or tea + dessert usually pancakes or chocolate cake mhhhh The place is very clean and comfortable. The music played will transport you in another time. This is so wonderful and the service is fast and nice. The brunch is delicious but I have to admit that the Milk Bar just beside the Benedicte offers the most original dishes and brunches.

My boyfriend and I were excited to try this place for breakfast, we read good reviews and liked the vibe, however the service was terrible. We had to put in our drink order twice, and it took about twenty minutes for our lattes to come. And I can’t even tell you how the food was because forty five minutes after ordering our breakfast(eggs benedict and pancakes, not too complicated) and watching all of the other people around us get the same thing AND eat it all AND receive their checks, we never received our food. We asked three times if our food was coming out soon and they kept saying«any minute.» It never came, so we left and went to a charming little bakery down the way to pick up some amazing croissants instead.

While looking up some places to have a little breakfast, I stumbled upon Benedict and I could tell my wife would like it. The décor is pretty cool with the English theme they have going on and the food make the place even better. My wife had the Eggs Benedict Riojana and I had the American Breakfast(of course) with Chorizo on the side. My breakfast reminded me of my moms… that’s a good thing! Hers looked and tasted really good as well. The Chorizo in the Benedict was solid. We cleaned our plates! Coffee is really good too btw… Food was really good! I would come back and/or recommend this place for sure.

AMAZING place. Great ambiance. Only thing is that the waiters are always extremely busy so service may delay but the food and drink are definitely worth it

Great brunch place! It’s right next to Milk and normally has a shorter wait time. That being said, if you go on a Sunday afternoon, there could well be a 30−60min wait. The interior décor has an English theme and is quite cute! Their brunch set menu is € 16.9(I think) including a main plate, 2 drinks(1 coffee/tea and 1 alcoholic) and 1 dessert. You can always order from the menu which has more choices. Their eggs Benedict is quite good and the pancakes are so fluffy! If you’re in Barcelona and craving brunch, this could do it!

Staff was amazing ! Particularly the Cuban aspiring singer who served us! He was so funny and welcoming. The eggs Benedict here are a must !

Came here earlier today the food the service and especially the drinks were not the best. They do not even honor the Unilocal check-in offer of a free Copa de Cava!

My husband and I came across The Benedict our first night in Barcelona wandering the streets. We didn’t know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised with the eclectic style and busy atmosphere. We picked a spot up at the bar and were immediately waited on by the bartender who explained the drink specials for the night. We settled on Sangria and a Gin Tonic. The drinks were gigantic! After a cocktail we settled on a meat and cheese plate that took a little longer than expected to come out from the kitchen. The food and presentation was well worth the wait. We ended up coming back to the bar a few more times during our trip to have a drink while we were sight seeing. I recommend at least stopping in to see the décor of the place and having a drink while you are looking around Barcelona! For more information and pictures check out our site:

The Benedict is so delicious! If you need a break from Mediterranean food while you’re in Spain, go to the Benedict and get a Spanish twist on American delicacies. My favorite was the chicken Benedict sandwich. Yum!

We were craving an American breakfast… The food here is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is cool! We would definitely come back.

Great for drinks and appetizers. We stayed nearby for about a week and this was by far our favorite place to hang out for mojitos, long islands, and snacks. We had brunch here and the eggs Benedict and omelettes were great. The fried plantains, fried green tomatoes and nachos were amazing for snacks. Negatives: Potatoes did not seem fresh and pitcher of mimosas had ice in it(very weird) which watered the mimosa down. Coffee was not hot and not strong enough for us either. Mojitos have too much sugar in them so we asked for light sugar in our drinks. Overall this place has great brunch, snacks and drinks and I would definitely come back the next time I visit Barcelona.

Woke up a little later, this one opens at 10:00am, an hour later than Milk next door and we decided to try it. Again we were looking to load up on a heavy meal before setting out and ordered the American Breakfast. Fried eggs, bacon, hash brown. Everything was perfect, like an upscale Diner back home. Eggs were large, bacon was crispy, hash brown was also crispy but tender inside, and really flavorful. Top-notch ingredients plus good execution. Prices are also reasonable, less than $ 15 for a complete meal.

The place is small and very noisy inside. We came in to have Sunday brunch after we were told the place next door(Milk) had a wait. I ordered a mimosa which was good. We asked for tap water but were told that is illegal in Barcelona(other restaurants never told us that). I ordered the Eggs Benedict Barcelona which had pesto, mozzarella, and a tomato with Hollandaise sauce. The Hollandaise sauce didn’t seem home made. It came with potatoes which were pretty tasty. I ordered a aside of hash brown potatoes(the waitress didn’t tell me my dish came with potatoes, thanks). The hash brown was terrible! I took one bite and was grossed out. It tasted like what I imagine a spoonful grease would taste like. They still charged us for it even after we complained. My hubby ordered the pancakes with dulce de Leche and bananas. They were good and filling. He asked for a large glass of OJ but the waitress told him they don’t sell OJ in large glasses. He asked if he could order 2 glasses and she was still confused. It was just a weird interaction. I don’t think I’d really recommend this place.

Much more relaxed than Milk Bar next door. The omelettes were good and on Fridays you get a free pancake which is swimming in syrup because the pancake is overdone. Pretty standard breakfast options. Not bad.

This place is to be avoided at least in the night. I now realize it is prime target for north-african gangs of wallet and phone thieves. The reason why I blame the venue is that they«waste» two bartenders at the door with the sole purpose of constantly droning over how we as customers cannot stay even one millimeter outside the door with a glass or a beer. But they sure let a three-man gang go in, literally pat everyone till the end of the bar and back and let them out. With me one of them stomp my foot and stood there at a standoff, raising the tension. He knew I would have looked at him, cos I’m big and I don’t start a fight for something like that. His friends bumped and took my iPhone. The fault is primarily mine I know. But this place let one bartender behind the bar and two doing nothing useful outside? As a night bar avoid this venue…

Although the huge lines outside for weekend brunch would suggest otherwise, I actually prefer The Benedict over the tiny-and-crowded Milk across the alley. For starters, they have good bacon. REALLYGOOD. Also, unlike Milk, you can almost always find a seat for breakfast without a wait. The staff are super friendly, and it’s got a playful ambiance that makes a meal here really enjoyable. One negative? The scrambled eggs. Their fried eggs are by far the best choice.

The overall experience was great. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. I love the brunch, but when I ordered a side of hashbrowns I didn’t expect it to be the sized of a silver dollar. It was about one bite’s worth and it was done. the pancakes weren’t the best, but everything else was great. I really enjoyed it. I’ll go back for more. for sure.

Order anything but the Eggs Benedict and you’ll be happy. They offer generous portions, friendly service, GREAT Coffee and an inviting, relaxing dining room but my meal seemed to lack something. For an establishment to be called Benedict’s, I’d expect stellar Eggs Benedicts… That was not the case here. The Hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict seems prebottled and was missing that tangy lemony flavor. Its a true shame because their generous portions would have been welcomed if I loved my food. Barcelona is an Amazing place for Foodies and I wouldn’t care to use one of my meals on a mediocre plate.
