Upon arrival in Barcelona my 12 year old daughter and I took a stroll near the apartment to find a mid-day snack and try to avoid sleeping so we can get on local time while dad and sister napped. We popped in and out of a few pincho bars along the Blai before settling in at Pincho J as the options looked appetizing to us both(my taste is more adventurous, but with kids we need more simple flavors too). The guy behind the bar spoke perfect English and confirmed it’s self serve as he handed us each a plate. We were both very happy here! The universal favorite is the potato and meat ball(we each grabbed another of those — yum!), she also loved the avocado/tomato and the sweet cream cheese with jam. I enjoyed the langostino, creamy artichoke salad, and grilled veggies. We took dad and sister back that night when it was even busier, the staff were still super friendly even with the crowd. They quickly helped us get a table and were fast with drinks and smiles. The girls love that at the end they count your«sticks» to arrive at the very reasonable total as the pinchos are always 1 euro. Their Sangria is not my favorite compared to others, but the 1 euro small beer hit the spot. We’ll be back and try the cava next time and more of the pinchos as we barely scratched the surface, there are at least 20 options available.

Cool tiny Pinchos-Bar. Every good looking and good tasting Pincho just for 1 €, also for a little beer.

Great place to relax and chill. They have different kind of pincho which is a local dish in Barcelona. Each pincho is 1Euro which is really cheap and they have different type of beer as well. It gets really busy around 8pm I would say and the staff are nice. I had the creamy crab pincho, the korean kebab pincho, etc. Overall it was a great experience!

Blai is full of pintxo places and just like their competitors the pintxos here are $ 1 as well as the small glass of beer. Various pintxos. One in particular(a sort of kebab with sauce on top) gave 2 of our group members stomach pains the next day :( Disappointed by the sangria. We ordered a liter caraf and it was mostly fruit punch with a few drops of wine. I guess thats what you get for $ 9.50 a caraf. Sorry but will not plan on dining here again.

This is a pretty good place for tapas. The selections were plentiful and tasted fresh. Smoked salmon was tasty, chicken leg spicy and mini steak k-bob nicely charred. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria which was ok, but reasonably priced. Service was okay. Wait staff seemed a bit disorganized, but friendly.

I liked this place better than many of the others on Blai because of their excellent tapas, but also the friendly staff. The creamy crab salad was soooo good. My favourite was the spicy Chorizo with padron pepper! No patio here, but definitely a buzz and it filled up quickly after we went in at 8pm. All tapas and pequeno beers and Cava are € 1. We had Sangria which is € 9 a litre. Solid spot for filling tapas at a good price.

Being a tourist in the area it is hard to know where is nice place to eat. One of our host recommended us to walk down this street to look for«1 € Pinchos» so we did. While walking down the street we saw Pinchos J with the 1 € Pinchos sign. My group and I walked in and the server told us that we just grab a plate and grab which ever Pinchos you like and you sit down and eat, then you pay. First, it was difficult to get the Pinchos because there were people sitting RIGHT in front of the Pinchos… We had to reach over people’s head and shoulder and get all up in front of their face to grab the Pinchos. Second, there were NO place to sit. When another group finally left, the table was given to a party that came AFTER us. So we had to stand and eat. Third, AFTER my party and I paid for the tab the waiter came running out telling us that we were short on the tab. Why didn’t the cashier tell us right on the spot if what we paid was not enough? We made sure the cashier counted the money and provided us with change before we left. The waiter kept asking us to give proof but the cashier did not provided us with a receipt. I was sooooooo tempted to just throw the money I was holding at the waiter because I felt like because we were tourist, we were an easy target. At the end my friend ended up giving whatever they told we were short on because we did not feel like arguing with them and because they started speaking Spanish to us at one point and we were speaking English. The Pinchos were good but it was NOT worth the humiliation. I’m pretty sure there are better Pinchos down the block with better service and seating. If for any reason you decides to eat here make SURE you ask for a receipt or be prepared to be humiliated.

Great pintxos bar. Each one costs 1 euro, even the beautiful gambas! The quality of the food is much better than the other ones I’ve tried on this street. Watch out for the ones that are freshly made and grab those as the new tray comes out! Great value, great food/drink
