Nice place, I came with my boyfriend, we had tomato & bread, croquettes, huevos estrellados and chistorra toast. Small sizes but good quality, they served us really fast.

I hate here back in July while in Barcelona for 5 days. My girlfriend and I very much enjoyed eating here. We ordered the tortilla which you can find at almost every restaurant but this was one of the better ones. Drinks are reasonable as well

Here in business and this place was next to the hotel so we decided to try it. The papatas braves (spicy potatoes) were probably the best I’ve had here. We also got the walnut and cheese croquettes which were rich but good. And the asparagus with brie which was perfectly cooked. My friend got the veal burger which he said was very good. I ordered the eggs with jamon which was a tad bit too salty (probably because of the ham) but cooked perfectly. The food came out quickly and the service was good, very friendly staff. Try the deep fried chocolate filled pastry for dessert! So good! Would definitely come back for a quick dinner.

Right down the street from my hotel. I liked the setting and décor. It is right on Diagonal and you can sit outside if you like. If you are American just remember where you are. The service is not always the fastest. Just enjoy where you are.
Food was good. The fried calamari was excellent. I had the chrizo with quail egg and the iberico ham tapas.

Food is 2.5,service was 3 – 3.5.why I give two, because here has a lot place you can go for good food and good price. Why you rest time for this one

Llevaba mucho tiempo sin visitar este Piscolabis. La verdad es que la experiencia no fue como recordaba que había ido las otras veces. La tortilla de patatas estaba realmente seca e insípida. Las rabas faltas de sabor también y la ensaladilla muy normalita. Lo único que merecíà la pena fueron los huevos estrellados… Me comentaron que habían cambiado de propietarios, pero sea como sea, la calidad ha bajado bastante desde la última vez que fui.

I like this place. Food is really good and prices are fair. Wait staff are nice, but they get frazzled easily which can result in inattentive service. They have Menus in various languages and pictures of the food. I’m not sure I’d recommend for kids, based on the menu. Yet, everything is delicious. They also have a really good breakfast deal for 5 €, as well.

¿Sabes qué, Piscolabis? When I speak to your server in Soanish, I answer her questions in Spanish, & then I still get an English menu, that’s called rude. ¿En castellano? Descortés. Have walked out of here twice. No les doy mi dinero.

Extremely disappointed. I went for lunch on a weekend, and to begin with, the waitstaff was rude. But then the food was even more disappointing. The portions were doll sized for their price to begin with. I got a wrap and the entire thing was so soggy, basically wet, that it wasn’t even edible. Overall, bad experience.

Nette Tapas Bar direkt gegenüber des HIlton. Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung, die auch gut Englisch spricht. Von einer normalpreisigen Tapas Bar kann man natürlich nichts aussergewöhnliches verlangen, aber alle Gerichte waren lecker und der Wein von guter Alltagsqualität. Sicher empfehlenswert, wenn man schnell lecker Abendessen gehen möchte.

Piscolabis es una restaurante de tapas situado en plena zona financiera de Barcelona.
Si bien la calidad de su producto base es buena (Joselitos all arround!), el tamaño de las raciones es bastante escaso, el servicio deja bastante que desear y los precios son excesivos.
Recomiendo: Cervecear en su terraza pidiendo lo justo.

Se trata de un sitio de tapas mas bien orientado a guiris.
Lo bueno es la ubicacion y el local, que esta bien decorado. La terraza es muy agradable.
Las tapas estan bien sin ser nada del otro mundo. Se trata de platillos.
Hasta aqui serian 3 estrellas, pero el servicio lo ha hecho bajar a 2. Ha sido amable pero extremadamente lento y desorganizado. Si vais, que sea con tiempo.

One of the worst places to have tapas in Barcelona… Very slow, dissipated wine, expensive … What a terrible experience.

All tapas menu. Very convienient to the Hilton hotel (don’t even have to cross a street) Portions are just right (i.e. tapas) Great selection — we had lamb burgers among other items. Prices were good. Firendly service. Bi-​lingual menus and waitstaff. Has indoor and outdoor seathing.
Would go again.

Llegamos a Piscolabis para celebrar el cumpleaños de una amiga.
El lugar es bastante amplio y cómodo por lo que nos funcionó muy bien (éramos como 12).
Para ordenar nos tardamos un poco porque los meseros no nos hacían caso, pero una vez que logramos colocar la orden, los platos llegaron muy rápido.
Probamos diferentes tapas, algunas estaban muy buenas y otras me fallaron bastante. Pero si sabes pedir, puedes cenar bien.
Yo les recomiendo: las patatas superbravas, las gambas rebozadas con mayonesa suave y los dados de atún al tempura, este último siendo mi preferido x mucho.
El plato que definitivamente no me gusto fue el atún con dados de tomate y aguacate.

I was starving so I decided to get something to eat right next door at Piscolabis. It is a tapas restaurant right next door to the hotel so I didn’t have to wander far. The menu is quite large but most of what I wanted to try was absent from the menu. I couldn’t complain too much because it was pretty early on a Sunday. He also suggested pretty good replacements. I mean you can’t really complain that much when you are selecting from over 60 dishes.
I had the pan con tomate. It was simple, but you really get the freshness of the tomatoes. It’s only charred bread that it is rubbed with tomatoes. I know you might be thinking «what’s so great about that?» It’s because the tomatoes have such a vibrant flavor of tomatoes. It’s almost like eating a tomato for the first time. The bread is perfect too. It is very light and chewy and has this really crisp crust.
Next up I got a chance to try the ham croquettes. Being from Miami, and ham croquettes being a staple of Cuban cuisine, I’ve had much more than my fair share of ham croquettes over the years. These were however the best that I’ve ever had. The quality of the ham goes a long way and the fatty nature of it gives you a croquette that is most and crisp on the outside.
The richness of the food I had didn’t stop there as I ended up getting the foie gras cannelloni as well. It was an absolute triumph as the pasta was cooked absolutely perfectly. It also had this great rich sauce that was slightly earthy. I also had the vegetable tempura with romesco sauce. My favorite this array of fired vegetables was the asparagus. The light batter that only a tempura can provide was perfect for it. The romseco brought in the brightness of the sweet ripe tomatoes that are throughout Europe. European tomatoes are better than any I’ve ever had in the US.
The food was so good that I ate there twice on my trip.

This place is very convenience as it is located right across Hilton and a relatively inexpensive place for a good meal. The service was good with picture menu for those of us that are Spanish challenged. However, the tapas selection was limited and not for the «foodies» — but good enough for us commoners who just want to fill our stomachs after a long day of work.

It is crowded every night with locals and tourists, alike.
Very diverse menu and low cost for the area which is mostly commercial businesses and company offices. We had the specials of the day which were very tasty.
The seating area inside is very nice, so is the outside seating. The service personnel outside are a little lax in getting back to your table, since it distracts them from their smoke breaks and social time with each other.
Ah, Spain, if it wasn’t for the observation that everyone smokes — your country could be a very nice place. I know it sounds like hyperbole to say everyone smokes, but I swear I saw dogs smoking when they were out on walks with their owners. The worst was seeing late-​teen and early 20 year old females, rolling their own with papers and a tobacco pouch (legal stuff, not grass) as they walk down the street.
I digress. The place was at overflow, out onto the sidewalk, one night. It was because Real Madrid and Barcelona were playing a game of futbol in town and the whole city was at bars and restaurants watching on big screens. Game ended in a tie of 2 – 2, so everyone was equally pissed. We were pissed because the Barcelona Metro workers of the subway system chose that Sunday to strike and none of the subway trains were running until after the game was over. Damn fools just wanted to get drunk all day and watch the game.
Ahh Spain, if you ever get your head out of your ass over the socialist welfare system you contrived, you could be a great country.

The space is lovely — huge windows, nice outdoor seating, very modern inside; food was decent, if a little strange. They obviously cater to a large international crowd based on their adjacent-​ness to the Hilton across the way (the menu is mostly photos that you can point to if you don’t speak English, French, or Japanese), but I don’t know if anything can make it okay to have a Hanna Montana mini burger, Winnie the Pooh Pasta, and Hello Kitty «pancakes» which look suspiciously like a quesadilla.
I highly recommend the asparagus with brie which was the best thing I tried, though the tempura was good too (tempura avocado!).

Tolle Auswahl an Tapas, leider nicht ganz günstig, was vermutlich auch am Hilton gegenüber liegt, aber durchaus eine Tapas Bar in die man gehen kann.

Sé que hay uno en Rambla Catalunya, 27, pero yo he estado en el que esta en Diagonal. La verdad es que no esta nada mal, es de estos sitios que me sorprendió porque pensaba que sería un sitio carisimo y no! no es tan caro. Tiene una amplia carta de tapas que van desde 1 euro a 12. Tapas de todo tipo, croquetas, ensaladas, verduras, carnes, fritos, pescado, huevos, bikinis… mucha variedad! La bebida esta un poco cara para mi gusto, pero bueno no hay nada perfecto. Las croquetas de la abuela y los huevos estrellados con sobrasada negra son muy pero que muy destacables al lado de las otras tapas que comimos. Creo que sería una buena opción para un desayuno tardio, porque la cocina abre pronto, asi que habrá que probar esta posibilidad.
