Sub Rosa

Cocktail à partir de 4,5 en happy hour, ambiance dirty chamanic, bar à taille humaine et très bon son dans le genre deep house. Un bon plan pour commencer la nuit.

Hip ambiance, cheap drinks (4 euro during HH), and a great location in the Barri Gotic. Came around 7:30/8, and it was just us and another group in there. I loved the lighting, the funny peephole in the bathroom, and some pretty tasty drinks. The Sub Rosa is an excellent mixed drink, and their fruit daiquiris and mojitos all looked scrumptious as well. It’s not some craft cocktail spot, but the classic cocktails they make are delicious, fresh and worth coming back for. Highly recommend!

great vibe, chill and casual but still fun. try the barcelonetta, it’s basically an adult milkshake (yes please!).

My favorite bar during my three day stint in Barcelona. Very low key and unassuming place stuck in an alley near the city center. I went here two nights and the staff were friendly and absolutely hilarious. The guy who runs the place is a funny and animated character. He helps behind the bar and he’s probably one of the most interesting bartenders I’ve met in a while. The staff seemed to enjoy working together and they make killer drinks. I ran into a big mix of people here — some locals and some people visiting from Sweden, South Africa, and New York. The crowd was friendly and I enjoyed myself both nights. The cocktail menu is long and there are lots of different drinks to try. Prices are very reasonable and they also have beer (typical beers you’ll find throughout Spain). Definitely give this place a shot when visiting this incredible city.

Amazing cocktails at great prices in a relaxed, intimate environment. What more could you ask for? The service is fast and friendly and happy to suggest the perfect alcoholic beverage to fit your tastes. Definitely check this bar out!

I don’t drink a lot, but i couldn’t help myself. i wanted to try all the cocktails and had no desire to go anywhere else that evening, eventhough that was the initial plan.

This is my favorite bar in Barcelona! Reminds me so much of home (Seattle, WA). It a mixture of tourists and locals, but mostly locals. Thee best cocktails ever. Every night till 11:00pm cocktails are 3.50, and they are incredible. All fresh ingredients. Never had a margarita with fresh lime? The ones at Sub Rosa will knock your socks off. Absolutely incredible. This is coming from someone who will have a cocktail every once and a while, but not every night. Mostly a beer drinker here. And, if you’re pinching pennies, 2E beers all night as well. Tuesdays are a great night to go because cocktails are 3.5 all night. Highly recommend Sub Rosa. If you’re one of those that are impatient and demand every little thing because you live by the phrase «the customer is always right,» this is not the place for you. Staff are efficient and helpful and will help you as soon as they can. There is a bouncer that keeps watch but is very friendly as well. Wall decorum is fantastic with Eyes Wide Shut theme. Check out the bathrooms also.

Another one of my favorite go-​to places. Another place that make my liver whimper.
From 8 – 11 every night one can get the most amazing cocktails for 3 € (3,75 € after 11). By 10 the place is packed elbow to elbow, with mostly, pretty good looking elbows. One will have to fight one’s way to the bar, but the staff is quite good at turning out scads of complicated, and differing cocktails in short order.
This can get to be a problem here. There are so many great cocktails one wants to try them all and ends up with a horrific mix of spirits in one’s system.
The proper way to experience Sub Rosas is to go over several nights keeping one night a «Vodka» night, the next a «Rum» night and so forth. You’ll be pleasantly drunk in the evening and less hung over in the morning.
BONUS: Even if you don’t have to go, check out the photography in the bathroom. Well if you’re a prude, then you should cross over to Sinatra’s.. .
