Perhaps the best meal, ever. The staff was beyond friendly. The food was extremely unique and flavorful. The atmosphere felt like you were tucked in a corner of Barcelona. I went with my kids (ages 11 and 14; they love food) and they felt welcomed too. I would go as far as to say that this place should not be missed in a visit to Barcelona.
We chose five dishes and shared them. Since the menu changes daily (they were literally gluing it together when we walked in), I don’t think it is super useful to talk about specific foods, but I do recommend ordering a dish or less per person and trying as much as possible.

De cena con los amigos. Me sorprendio gtatamente por el buen trato y simpatia de las chicas que lo llevan, la decoracion sustica y tradicional y sobretodo los platos, caseros, deliciosos de cocina catalana con un toque original.

Simple food, and mostly meat. I got botifarra with sweet apples plate (12 euro) that was spiced with «arabic» spices. Everything was great.

Als wir ankamen hat uns eine Kellnerin mit einem herzlichen Lächeln im Gesicht begrüßt. Sie war so zuvorkommend und hat uns alle 15 Speisen + 4 Nachspeisen bis ins Detail übersetzt und auch beraten.
Es ist seehr sehr selten, dass es ein Koch schafft mir schon nach dem ersten Bissen das Gefühl zu geben, vom Tisch aufstehen zu müssen, um in die Küche zu rennen, ihn an den Händen zu packen und ihn zu fragen, ob er mich heiraten wolle ;)
Für einen Gang mit Vorspeise + Hauptspeise mit Wein und Nachspeise mit Kaffee haben wir 25.-€ p.P. bezahlt.
Wenn man in diesem kleinen und sehr überschaubaren Lokal isst, fühlt man sich wie die alten Römer: für die Essen keine Ernährung, sondern einen Genuss darstellte.
Wenn Sie einen schönen und genussbaren Abend verbringen wollen, dann sind Sie hier goldrichtig.

i had hummus for starters, rabbit (i only ever eat it at my grandmother’s, i think i’ve never seen that on a restaurant menu before) und a chocolate cake.
with some wine to drink i still paid less than 25 € and everything tasted spectacular: D
the waitress was very friendly, translated the whole menu to english for us and read every wish from our lips.
after almost two weeks of eating out in barcelona and madrid, this was definately a highlight.

This restaurant is rustic as heck. If you are looking for a really authentic Catalan experience, this is it. Like others have mentioned, the menu changes everyday and the staff here are just awesome and warm. We loved the décor and the service. We got the sea bass, the kidney in guisado (??) and the trotters. The kidney and the trotters were a little too rustic for me, but my dining companion couldn’t get enough of them and the staff brought me bread so I could sop up the delicious sauce. If you’re like me and get a little weirded out by kidneys and trotters, then go for the safer options because these guys don’t compromise on the authenticity! I ended up ordering the scrambled eggs with sausage and ham and I wish I had been hungover because that dish was perfect hangover food! This restaurant is a complete departure from the touristy places around Barcelona. Highly recommended!

In a word: amazing. As our waitress explained, the menu changes daily so they can serve incredibly fresh food. My wife and I had the best mussels we’ve ever had here, along with great fish and a chicken, mushroom, and rice dish similar to paella. To top it all off, their menu is very affordable. We came in with € 26 in our pockets, and left with the best meal we had during our honeymoon. Great atmosphere, great staff, great food.

Very good food and they are very friendly. As tourists from China me and my wife can not read Spanish but they can explain all the food to me. I was told all food is cooked in real time and they change a bit of the daily menu.

Estupendo restaurante. Siempre que vengo como súper bien. Es obvio que se curran muy bien cada plato, desde los ingredientes que utilizan (buena calidad), la presentación, la amabilidad y la simpatía de las camareras hacen que te sientas en familia. Ellas te explican uno a uno como está realizado cada plato y hacen que te atraigan más (por si estás indeciso).Mi favorito el Arroz caldoso con pollo, aunque esta última vez probé el Arroz negro con merluza y estaba para chuparse los dedos. Las Albóndigas con salsa de butifarra negra y queso parmesano, riquísimo! Y de postre crumble de pera. Una experiencia muy deliciosa. Los precios no son nada caros (según lo que escojas) y esto es de agradecer para los tiempos que corren. Si aún no conoces éste lugar no sabes lo que te pierdes.

What a special restaurant! The waitress and her brother explained that they use their recovered Catalan family recipes to create the menu, which they change often. I have a lot of food restrictions and they were extremely receptive to changing ingredients but still keeping the integrity of the dish. The portions were huge and the prices reasonable. The waitress was very personable and attentive. True Barcelona gem.

Buenisimo! Es un restaurante muy pequeño, de una familia, con un trato super especial y dulce, te sientes como en casa. La comida esta riquisima, van cambiando el menu cada tanto, lo cual está muy bien porque te van sorprendiendo. El arroz con pollo para mí es lo mejor, y cuando tienen las croquetas es una felicidad. Buenos precios, perfecto para grupos si reservas con tiempo!

Per dinar o per sopar. Amb menú o a la carta, el tatau no et deixa mai indiferent. Sardines del senyoret, milfulles de patata i carn, i arròs amb pollastre. Tot molt bó, especialment, l’arròs que, com sempre, està deliciòs. Tracte espectacular. De postre, tarta de xocolate i nous. Dos birres i aigua, dos tallats i herbes. Total: 52 €(3persones). Local ben cuidat, amb antiguitats i molta personalitat. Tornarem, ja ho crec!

Castellano: Qué maravillosa experiencia. El lugar tiene un ambiente acogedor y hogareño. Los propietarios son muy amables y muy atentos, pero no estan encima de ti como un halcón. Parece un lugar pequeño, pero hay un montón de espacio. Hay mucho carácter en el restaurante. Nada combina, pero todo coincide al mismo tiempo. Cada plato es diferente de la otro y se siente como si estuvieras comiendo en casa de tu familia. Te sirven agua libre — en Barcelona !! Vaya! La carta está escrita a mano con el día y la fecha, así que supongo que cambia a diario. Comi cerdo y la ensalada de granada y pipas. Todo era muy delicioso. La comida no es pretencioso, en la realidad se presenta de manera muy sencilla, nada extravagante. Pero pude probar el amor que ponen en sus platos en cada bocado. Mi amigo pedio un vino blanco, que fue hecho por el abuelo del propietario. Me fui de allí muy satisfecho y con toda la intención de volver. Se jactan de que sus arroces son espectaculares. Volveré a probar esto.
English: What a wonderful experience. The place has an inviting and homey feel. The owners are very friendly and very attentive, but they don’t hover over you like a hawk. It looks like a small place, but there is plenty of room. There is so much character in the restaurant. Nothing matches but everything matches at the same time. Every plate is different from the next, but it kind of just feels right and it feels like you’re eating at your family’s home. They even serve free water — unheard of in Barcelona! The menu is handwritten with the day and date, so I assume it changes daily. I had the pork and pomegranate salad. It was all very delicious. The food isn’t pretentious, in fact it’s presented very simply, nothing extravagant. But I could taste the love that they put into their dishes in every bite. My friend ordered a white wine, that was made by the owner’s grandfather — how cool is that?! I left there very satisfied with the entire experience and with every intention of going back. They boast that their rice (paellas) are spectacular. I’ll be back to verify this.

Una aposta segura. Cuina casolana i de qualitat, amb plats nous molt sovint. Un ambient agradable i familiar, un lloc on sempre ens sentim a gust. Molt recomanable!

This is a great place for a delicious, friendly meal in special surroundings and is conveniently located near the Sants train station.
The menu is based on the best recipes from the grandmothers of the owners, chefs and their friends and the ingredients are fresh and locally produced. The interior of the restaurant is completely outfitted with antique furniture and décor so every table and place setting is a unique experience.
To top it off, the prices are reasonable and the service is very friendly. I highly recommend it for a lunch or dinner in Barcelona.
