We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. They only have 23 rooms so they are very personable and know you by name when you arrive. Actually, they email you a week prior to ask about the occasion and the time frame you are arriving. That way, they can greet you when you arrive. They offer sparkling wine and water while you are checking in. You get a tour of the place while the bell boy bring up your luggage. The room is very modern and the bed is super cozy! I never got a backache selling on their bed and I love their pillows. I never use the pillows in the American hotels because they are always so big. Every early evening you are surprised by a small snack and a bottle of water. Every day its different. The hotel is supplied with soft his & her slipper with equally as soft bathrobes. The room houses a Nespresso machine with three free pods that they refill daily if used. The ladies at the front desk were really helpful and informative. They helped us book tickets and gave us great local recommendations for dinner. Their ~1 year old restaurant, Informal, is maned by a Michelin star chef and is pretty amazing. The location is very close to most attractions and close to many metro stops. We already know that we are staying here again when we come back to Barcelona!

This is the last night of a two week European honeymoon for my wife and I. We were unsure about where to have our last meal and we ended up at the Informal restaurant at our hotel the Serras. Needless to say, our choice did not leave us disappointed. After a day at the beach, mixed with an evening of shopping, we had hungry stomachs. We perused the menu and found many viable options. We decided on the mixed green salad as our starter and some red wine sangria. The sangria came out first and it was. Good blend of wine and sweet fruits. The salad came out with a mixed of chopped mixed greens, guacamole, raddish, asparagus, some delicious cheese, all surrounded by whole leafy greens around the edges. It was a very wise choice and started the meal on great foot. For the entrée we ordered the burger and the steak with vegetables. Originally we ordered the steak medium but the waiter suggested we order something else if we didn’t order the steak medium rare. Not ordering it medium rare would compromise the integrity of the meat. The steak came out as about a 6oz medallion surrounded by roasted veggies. The steak was cooked to perfection with a cream sauce, I don’t remember the name. The burger, cooked medium, was delivered with a side of frites. Don’t expect full on French fries. They are a little bowl of strip like potatoes. The burger did not disappoint. It came with a thick cheese that did not overpower and almost like a onion marmalade. We finished the meal off with the hot chocolate and the Apple tartin. A great way to finish off a savory meal with something sweeter but not too sweet. I wish we had more time to eat at the Informal but to leave Barcelona on this note, is simply an amazing memory. I’d recommend a stay at the Serras or if you can’t, try the restaurant. The arrive is great and they make you feel at home.
