Amazing food. Friendly people great view. While it is a bit pricey the value was excellent. The prefix menu offered a great survey of catalin food.

Okay, meine Frau sagt, weder der Blick noch das Essen sind die Preise annähernd wert. Sie hatte das kleine 5 gängige Menü für 72 €, ich Baby Calamaris für knapp 30 Euro (die ich ganz gut fand) und einen roten Reis mit Prawns für 43 € (den meine Frau genauso gut zuhause hätte machen können).
Also, das Essen war nicht schlecht. Nur eben vollkommen überteuert. Und der Blick ist schon schön. Aber da kann man dann auch mit der Seilbahn fahren und danach in ein wirklich gutes Restaurant gehen. Denn davon gibt es in Barcelona auch genügend (ein Tipp wäre das Grecas und da auf jeden Fall die Mushrooms nehmen oder das Restaurant im Hotel Omm)
PS. Und bei der Rechnung tauchten jetzt noch 2×5,50 Euro dazu auf. Auf Nachfrage stellte sich heraus, dass das für Service ganz allgemein und einen Gruß aus der Küche war (den wir nicht bestellt hatten). Macht die Sache nicht besser.

the view is amazing but that’s about it. they gave us appetizer soups that were supposedly «on the house» yet charged us 5.5 euro each. then our appetizer was the prawns and on the menu it said 25 euro for the prawns. when we got our bill it said the prawns cost 25 euro per 100g and they gave us 190g and did not ask or tell us until we got the bill and were confused. we both got fish as our main course and one was overlooked and one was undercooked. both portions of fish were small and the dishes didn’t come out as the menu said. they did serve good drinks and the view was nice but that’s where the good things about this place ended.

It didn’t live up to our expectations. A restaurant pretending to be which is not. The view of the city is not as astonishing as advertised, and it does not justify the high prices of the meals, small portions and not savory food, for which we paid more than 100 € each. You can find the same food quality or even much better at lower prices in many of the restaurants of the city. Special mention for the poor service, in particular the guy who is at the ground level door, showing a lack of professionalism and bad manners, inadequate for a restaurant which pretends to be world class, but it is not. I will not return ever. Not to be recommended at all.

Estuve este martes pasado con parte de mi familia celebrando la graduación de mi hermana. Nos guiamos de Unilocal para elegir este lugar y estamos muy agradecidos.
Las vistas a nuestra bella ciudad son IMPAGABLES, el trato del personal es magnifico, la comida estuvo bien, pero no llegó a matarnos, pero en sí bien.
Una de las cosas que más nos gustaron es la iluminación del local, no era ni muy tenue ni muy intensa, estaba en el punto PERFECTO para disfrutar de las vistas y luces de la nocturnidad de Barcelona mientras nos reíamos, charlábamos y cenábamos.
Por cierto, centrándome en lo que comimos, recomiendo: El suquet de mariscos (es una mini zarzuela de toda vida) y los calamarcitos rellenos, tenían un gusto muy rico.

Late review: we chose this restaurant since it was walking distance from the W that we were staying at. The restaurant is at the top of a tower that serves as a cable car stop in the day. As you can imagine, it has a great view as such. Great seafood (prawns!) and matching wine list. Service was fantastic, staff very gracious even though we spoke no Spanish.

Un lugar obligado desde donde apreciar otra magnífica y completa perspectiva de Barcelona (otras vistas las encontramos en el búnker de la rovira, la terraza del mandarin oriental, el bar eclipse, tibidabo, etc.).
Atención más que correcta y el jefe de sala, Javi, se encarga de todo detalle, ya hayas hecho peticiones previamente en la reserva o bien in situ. Los camareros muy atentos en todo momento y adecuados en el trato. No te apresuran en comer ni tampoco se demoran en servirte la comida. Se sirve el plato con delicadeza.
La comida está muy bien si uno busca comida tradicional, aunque en los postres se encuentre algo de modernidad.
El precio del menú del mediodía es de 39e y encuentro más que correcta la relación calidad-​precio.
A mi parecer, es más bien un lugar donde ir con tu pareja.

The food was quite good — the view was spectacular.
The presentation of their food was also quite noteworthy. The smoked pork came covered under a glass dome, which when lifted, smoke wafted out. Their violet mousse and yogurt cake dessert was also one of the most beautifully presented desserts I’ve ever seen — quite tasty too.
I’d say that there was bit of an unnecessary markup/​premium for the view though. I’ve had just as good, if not better, food elsewhere in Barcelona for ¹⁄₃ less than we paid here.
No complaints about the food or service though.

Of all the restaurants I ate at in Barcelona, this has the most breathtaking view of the waterway. I was there with colleagues and all the food they brought out was fabulous!

Amazing view and great service! Spent a special evening here. Food, music and ambiance was excellent. Our cava glasses were never empty and each course was served with great presentation. The glass elevator that takes you up the tower itself is spectacular and when you are on top of the tower overlooking the water on one side and the city on the other side (we had a corner table with panoramic views) it is like a different world. Oh and it is way less touristy than Jules Verne (atop the Eiffel Towers) and way more personal in terms of service.

Sí os lo podéis permitir vale la pena la experiencia, comida de chef, raciones justas con un sabor inmejorable.

If you want to experience the view from up in the tower and the romantic settings this is the place. I knew the prices were quite high for so little and not savory food. At the beginning I asked the pseudo waiter for the menu, he just told me to wait… I said I did not want to wait I wanted to see the menu, so another lady, the one that greeted us brought us the menu which was right on the service table in front of us, that means that he was not allowed to show us the menu for some weird reason. Then another guy pretentious looking and presumably being our waiter asked us if we were ready… it was not even 2 minutes since I started looking at the menu. I then ordered the Lluc del Cantabrico and the Suquet de Rap and a water. After ordering, the other pseudo waiter brought us a mini cream of mushroom (which we did not order) and I hate mushrooms so I told him to take it away, he said it was compliment from the house and that nothing happened if we were to drink it but anyways I told him to take it away. Then came the fish dishes we ordered, it did not wow me. One plate was too salty and the other was ok but just 2 little pieces of fish with 4 little pieces of potato. For me it was just common food and nothing out of the ordinary neither fancily plate decorated. After finishing I right away asked for the bill, I did not want other foods being brought to me without ordering. To my surprise the lady that greeted us was very nice and sang me a small version of the happy birthday song and nice enough to bring me a tiny piece of chocolate cake and 4 tiny pieces of some cookies. Then I was given the bill and noticed that the 2 Cream of Mushroom Apetizers were charged at 5.50Eur each which we returned. Normally this is their trick into getting you to pay kind of a cover charge but it was clearly written 2 (PA I Aperitius) so that meant Apetizers for me which I did not consume and returned, before going to this restaurant I read in Trip Advisor about this appetizer scam so this is why I turned it away. I was not giving a hard time to the waiter as they do not know if the customer has any allergies to mushrooms. I was just in my right to get my point across and the principle but not for the price. In any case it was fishy when he told me that it was on the house because you would think by charging so much per plate something else has to be included like a salad or soup like a normal restaurant… but it turns out that «on the house» means it will be charged in the bill! If you don’t take a clear look at your bill then you will fall in their appetizer scam.
In conclusion, if you want to splurge and do not care about the food and service quality then this is the right place as only only the view and the nice lady in the front desk were nice, the rest… do not get your expectations high on this restaurant.

Food was ok, not speculator for the very high prices charged. If you go, it’s for the view and not the food. There was a cover charge of about $ 7 per person in addition to the high priced dinners. This is mostly a tourist resturant.

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday while we were visiting Barcelona, and the view was amazing, the service however left much to be desired.
It took our waiter awhile to finally ask us for our order, and then there were so many people that came by, while our waiter was MIA, you really didn’t know who to ask for what.
I had the sea bass, which was excellent, perfectly cooked and seasoned, boyfriend had the beef medallions which were just ok. Which was a bummer since it was his birthday.
Overall beautiful restaurant, but the service really was horrible, and the servers seemed to be much more attentive to the needs of other tables. I definitely wouldn’t go back. There are too many great restaurants in Barcelona to deal with one with poor service. And I think the W hotel still has them beat outside of Mountjic for best view of the city!

Definitely a must do for romantic dining in Barcelona. We spent the day clubbing on Barcaloneta beach and then took a rickshaw to dinner. The views are stunning. The most beautiful sunset I’ve ever watched. The food was excellent, much better than I expected, and after everything I heard it was much cheaper than I expected.

Si te puedes dar el gusto (por el precio, caro), hay que ir a mediados de junio, coincidiendo con los días más largos del año, a cenar. Las fantasticas vistas del restaurante (está en la torre del teleférico del puerto) se hacen absolutamente únicas cuando cae el sol y simultáneamente se enciende la ciudad.
La comida buena, aunque no a la altura de la panorámica y del precio. Lo que si que está a nivel es el servicio, excelente.

Comiendo en el puerto a setenta y cinco metros sobre el mar. Vibraciones del teleférico y gritos de gaviota. Viendo los barcos partir y amarrar. Bacalao con trinxat, rape con guisantes estofados, fricandó, arroces a la cazuela…

El restaurante Torre d’Alta Mar es un lugar para grandes ocasiones y, bajo mi punto de vista, para ir en pareja. Seguramente ofrece las mejores vistas de la ciudad, ya que se encuentra en lo alto de una atalaya, a 75 metros de altura, y si uno consigue una mesa en la ventana (hay dos filas de mesas, interior y ventana) se pasara la comida o cena embelesado con la panorámica. Al llegar al pie de la torre, y con reserva previa, una persona del equipo te recibe a pie de ascensor y te acompaña hasta el comedor, de decoración vanguardista y glamurosa, como la presentación de los platos. A mediodía uno verá con detalle el «skyline» de Barcelona, pero de noche el paisaje de luces es espectacular y muy romántico. Se trata de un local poco asequible (unos 80 € por comensal al menos), pero ofrece la posibilidad de realizar un menú de 48 € al mediodía.

Llevábamos una temporada medio mala con mi novia. Y justo era nuestro aniversario. No había muchas ganas de festejo, pero no hacer nada era una exageración que yo no me perdonaría nunca, y posiblemente ella tampoco. Así que me puse las pilas, estuve averiguando un poco y decidí ir a un lugar especial. Le dije que le tenía preparada una sorpresa, no la vi muy ilusionada pero igual vino. Encaramos por el Paseo Joan de Borbó hacia la playa. Por el costado de los restaurantes. De repente me dijo: «ha venimos a cenar»?, pero con un aire de cansancio terrible. Yo le dije que no, que había que seguir. Cuando llegamos a la playa y seguimos de largo por la calle ella no entendía nada. Recién cuando arribamos al pié del ascensor que lleva a este restaurante ubicado en la cima de la torre comprendió mi intenciones. Inmediatamente le cambió el semblante. Al abrirse el ascensor una señorita elegantemente vestida nos recibió y llevó a la sala de forma circular. Con vistas a la ciudad. Las mesas enmanteladas y los camareros bien uniformados fueron el detalle inicial para una gran velada. La cocina es muy apetitosa. Cuando nos fuimos a casa sentí que me había ganado otra oportunidad.

Die Küche vom Feinsten und eine fantastische Aussicht auf die Stadt und den Hafen bei untergehender Sonne in einer Höhe von 75 m über den Boden.
Freundliche und flotte Bedienung. Der Preis liegt bei 100 Euro pro Person, aber dieses romantische und kulinarische Erlebnis ist es wert !!!
In Spanien wird üblicherweise nicht vor 20.30 h gegessen. Unbedingt reservieren !

El restaurante Torre d’Alta Mar en Barcelona es uno de los lugares de visita obligada en la capital catalana. Eso sí, si te lo puedes permitir porque fácilmente suele sobrepasar los 100 euritos por comensal. Increíbles vistas y camareros demasiado atentos yo diría. La cocina muy buena pero sin llegar a sobresaliente. A esos precios hay otros restaurantes en Barcelona de mejores inquietudes culinarias pero claro no con estas vistas.

Un vrai restaurant d’altitude ! La vue est magnifique et Barcelone se déroule sous nos yeux. La déco contemporaine est à la fois sobre et chic, l’ensemble est très réussi. Enfin, l’assiette n’est pas en reste, puisque les plats sont fins, agréablement présentés. Bref, pour une soirée d’exception, cet endroit est parfait ! Tout cela a un prix et la note est évidemment à la hauteur… mais sans regret !
