Great menu(also available in English) with a wide variety of options — seems like the menu is based on seasonal ingredients. The menu is pretty heavily focused on seafood. Also, they serve paella even though it is not on the menu — we didn’t have it ourselves, but we saw another table eating it after we had ordered.

Service is terribly slow and incredibly unfriendly. Tapas are ok, but definitely far from excellent. Besides the portions are just ridiculous for the prices! I have been here twice only because I thought may be the first time we did not chose the right items. But no, still not worth the money. Definitely better than tourist traps along Paseo de Joan Borbo, but nevertheless nothing special.

I could cry thinking about this place. It might be the best food I’ve had in my life. After I came here, I returned the next night and the next night. Save yourself the time and effort and just eat here. It’s the best food in the world. The service is just lovely. Omg it hurts thinking about this place, it’s just so good. The duck ceviche is everything. Best paella in Barcelona. The vermouth, got me drunk! :)

Amazingly fresh food with a creative twist. We throughly enjoyed our visit. The mussels were fresh, the skip jack was delicious, the mushrooms were simple but amazing. And the paella was over the top. Add to that a wonderful setting and you have a winner. A must try.

… … Catch of the day haben wir nochmal erneut bestelkt, weil wir selten soo leckeren Fisch gessen haben…

Awesome! Unilocal delivers again! A must while in Barcelona if you are a foodie or mildly adventurous diners. I am mildly adventurous, and my wife will try anything. Service was great. Small restaurant. Cool décor. Great feel of the place. Extremely fresh ingredients. Every element from ingredients to preparation to combinations to presentation were fabulous. We ate: Sautéed Wild mushrooms, blue fish with quinoa & mushrooms, cod fish brandada with ratatouille, flat bread with tomato. All spectacular! Deserts — apple tatin and tartlets with quince. Both were scrumptious. I am taking a very happy girl home tonight!

Go here for dinner at least once in your time in Barcelona. This little gem was tucked away near the beach, had I known of it sooner I would have eaten there more. We showed up around 2200 with no reservations and a group of 4 on Friday night, they sat us immediately and were very friendly. After a few minutes of reviewing the menu board and coming to no solid starting point we asked what our waitress recommended and she looked at the menu and said everything, so we took her advice and ordered almost everything. Not one plate let us down. They pride themselves on being a farm to table locally sourced type of kitchen, they do not disappoint. From tempura fried zucchini flowers with goat cheese to steamed seafood medley to roasted wild mushrooms it was truly delicious. My group ate till it couldn’t take anymore wine and food then we gladly said goodnight to the staff and wandered to the beach for an evening beach stroll. Most definitely will be returning as the seasonal menu will need another chance to make culinary magic.
Risotto was WAY under cooked. Ratatouille was just salsa on kale chips almost. The food was way underwhelming. For the price this was awful. One star because our waitress was very kind.

We didn’t have a reservation and as soon as they found out, they wouldn’t give us the time of day. One of the patrons at the bar yelled«No Englishmen» at us. We’re not even English! We waited around for a while, hoping the waitress was just busy, but she went through a couple of tasks and still didn’t bother even giving us a table. So we went to Comestibles next door and they were nice. Try their mojito!

The food was amazing and the service was fun and very kind. My family and I tried out some foods that were new to us and ended up loving ever single thing. The serving size is quite small(tapa size) but very delicious and overall left me smiling at the end of the night.

Really good seafood plates in a nice sit down restaurant. It is located near the Barceloneta area and has access to some really fresh seafood, and it shows in the food they serve. The shrimp, mussels, and cockels, and catch of the day(white fish) were all cooked amazingly well. The eggplant sashimi was a miss — while it’s what they said(uncooked eggplant), it didn’t taste amazing. However, the plating was well done, and the couscous it came with was very savoury. The Padron peppers, garden tomatoes and zucchini hearts were also great, but definitely not as amazing as the seafood dishes. Although the portions are somewhat small or tapas sized, the prices are reasonable and we ended up ordering about eight different dishes and a bottle of wine for under 100 €. The coolest thing is that they bring you a giant(English menu available as well) menu to your table for you to order from!

We wanted to go to a good seafood restaurant and searched here on Unilocal and then this restaurant came up. We were a bit sceptic because of the size and where it was situated, but we had a really lovely dinner and the food was so lovely. The atmosphere in the restaurant was autentic and the waiters was really nice and helpful. There was not noicy like in many other tapasbars in Barcelona. Next time I come to Barcelona I will for sure visit it again and also recommend it to others.

We stumbled on this in a side street of Barcelonata. It was an unexpected find with some traditional and some creative dishes. We had the wild boar dumpling, the monkfish Cardeba style, the chicken wings with green curry and the zucchini flower with goat cheese. Would recommend all of the above highly.

This Barceloneta spot is tucked away and superb! It’s right by a city square that is worth a stroll around as well. In this area, it’s easy to get pulled into a tourist trap along the main street to the beach. However, at this restaurant the mantra is «local and fresh». The gazpacho here was my favorite in the city. Grab the oysters if you can!

Mi valoración: no volveré

Nice and cosy tapas bar with authentic and high-class food for a moderate pricing. The cook is using fresh and local ingredients. The meals cover a variety of high-quality fish, including unusual offerings such as moraine eel. The Chocolate ganache with sea salt and olive oil is amazing. The shrimps and Norwegian lobster are remarkable and intensively flavorful. The wine list offers good pairings. The place is offside the tourist tracks, but nevertheless close to La Barceloneta Beach.

Wow, I wish we found this spot earlier in our stay in Barcelona(although we had fantastic food elsewhere as well). The best culinary ending. The area it is in(Barceloneta) felt like«Spain» to us. I wanted to explore it more, but alas, will save that for the next visit. We were a little worried they may be too busy or we’d have a wait based on the previous reviews but we got a table right away. Menus are written on big blackboards(I liked this practice throughout Europe) in English and Catalan. We tried the duck rice, goat cheese filled zucchini flowers, patatas bravas, scallops and the Iberian ham plate. Every morsel was devoured. We were blown away by everything. Favorites were the duck rice and zucchini flowers which we’d never had. Although fried, they were so light and delicious. Wine menu is great and they are helpful with making suggestions based on what you like. Service was excellent. I wanted so badly to try the plate of chocolate/bread/olive oil/salt but we literally had to run out of there when we realized the last train in Barcelona ran at midnight. Oops! They are opened every day from 1pm until midnight. You must make this a stop if you are in the city. Not far from the beach and off the over-beaten tourist path. Five Full Stars.

Yes I found this hidden secret based on Unilocal review and it lived up to the expectations. Being American I expected bigger portions but this is Spain so tapas and normal size portions. Paella was amazing! Cap ipota de pollo con was good too. Catch of the day with potatoes was heavenly. Order two rounds of paella! Order a bottle of house since Staff was really accommodating of our sleeping toddler — chef made special dish for her since she’s allergic to fish and nuts Ambiance is tranquil… soft lighting. background music

This adorable restaurant deserves all of the great reviews. It has been our best meal in Barcelona so far, by a wide margin. Each dish was perfectly done. The fresh and relatively light seafood dishes cause this place to soar high above more traditional tapas restaurants. Also, the price tag was on the moderate side, all things considered.(Update: We returned to this same restaurant a second time on our last of 10 nights in Barcelona, and now can confirm that this was definitively our favorite restaurant in the City.)

No será decepcionado. We walked by the Somorrosto and could get no table. That was the reason for us to come back a few days later. You better make a reservation. The small restaurant is part of a group of restaurants that have dedicated themselves to cook only fish, sold on the fish-market of Barceloneta. Sounds great and is delicious. Prices are o.k. We had Meditarean Gambas, clams and plaice with peas and pearl barley and skate with asparagus. Definitly not the regular all day tapas and more-cuisine. It was all freshly made in the open kitchen. Wine was nice and worth the price. Service very friendly.
