Firehouse Subs

I’ll admit I was skeptical at first being a Quiznos loyalist. The Italian sub is phenomenal. Order always comes out correct and delicious, and the staff is very friendly. This is a staple grab n go for lunch.

This is becoming my go to place to grab a quick lunch. Really easy to get to. Plenty of parking. FRIENDLY FOLKS! I love places that welcome you to their establishment. My favorite is a #10, followed by a #4. Made to order, no heat lamps here drying out yesterday’s grub. They help you select, offer suggestions. This place is clean. Double drink dispensers, and they have back up tea dispensers on standby. Please take a moment to donate 25 cents to the firefighters fund. Sorry my food just came and it smells amazing!

Consistently the best sub sandwiches across the country from a large chain! The service is always top notch and the sandwiches are considerably great!

Probably the best tasting chain sub you could ask for; that’s not just including Subway, mind you, but also Jimmy Johns, Quiznos, and even Jersey Mike’s.
The staff at this location is great. I got a Hero sub minus the mayo and it was perfect in each bite. The provolone has a great milky flavor and is thoroughly melted and steamed, while a thick helping of turkey, ham, and roast beef is beyond juicy bursting with flavor. The bread is really good too, with a crisp toasting but enough give to let you chew and savor each bite. It’s not a huge sub but it’s filling, although I do wish it felt larger when you’re eating it. The price is more than you’d pay at another chain but worth it if you’re a sub guy or gal. That said, if you’re looking for a classic Italian sub at a better price, I think Jimmy Johns is a better bet. But then again, the Freestyle machines are a nice touch!

What can’t you love about this place? The atmosphere is great, the food and service on even better. Not to mention you food comes out fast and the way you ordered it every time. Incomparable to anywhere else in town.

First visit and very impressed. Excellent service, clean and wonderful food. Everything was very fresh. Much better than Subways.

I dont know if its because its 9pm and this is the first time im eating today, but this has to be the best thing ive ever tasted. Dramatic, yes… but so true!!! Okay so first of all i posted on facebook, where can i get a great sandwich? Majority of the replies suggested firehouse. I’ve never been, and love trying new places so of course i went. First of all the first thing i hear when i walk in is every employee’s warm greeting. Kudos. They told me if i needed any help at all just ask. they were all just great and very helpful. You get the choice of wheat or white bread i liked that. I went with wheat. I dont remember what number it was, but i got a club on a bun. Its amazing. And big! Not un-​filling like jimmy johns. So i go to get my drink while waiting on my sandwich, which didnt take long at all. The coke machines here are so fun!!! She called my name when my order was ready and i was still playing on the touch screen coke machine it was awesome. I got a cherry vanilla coke. Anyways i get my sandwich the lady was super sweet to me but that’s not it there’s more! They have like a «sauce stand» with all these different hot sauces i got a little cup of 3 different ones to try, and there house hot sauce was way better then the 2 bottled hot sauces i tried. The food is great the sauce is great the employees were great even the coke machine lol. Cant wait to go back!!!

I have eaten at this place on several occasions. Some very good and some OK. Love the drink machine and the service is always great.

The noise level isn’t too bad; service was quick; sandwiches were loaded; good iced tea; the brownie was really good, fudgey, very moist. My husband’s Club was, in his opinion, better than Jason’s or Subway.
Just as we were finishing our meal, a lady walked by that must have poured her perfume on, and we quickly left! This happens quite often, especially with the older ladies. # Etiquette

Best place in Abilene I have eaten so far. Service was extremely nice. Offered for us to take home sauces to try if we wanted. Food was really tasty and soda options abound

Firehouse subs was a very great place too eat, walking in the workers all said together «10 – 12, welcome too firehouse». The workers were very friendly and sincere, upon ordering I asked if they had firefighter discounts which they did, which saved me a little money. While waiting on our food, we found a table and before we could even get too it one of the workers came too our table and gave it a quick wipe down before we could even sit down (even though it was already clean) a very clean and friendly environment with great food and great prices.

Had the meatball sandwich, sweet and spicy. It was on point. The French bread is fresh and soft. Baked perfectly. I will definitely be back and try another one of their sandwiches. The Manager and crew were friendly. I like the coke machine, has hundreds of flavors to chose from.

I’m completely addicted to Firehouse’s meatball sub! Try it with their in-​house spicy sauce — delish! Love the lemon and white chocolate chip cookie, too. One of my favorite places to eat in A-​Town.

Been here a few time. Food is always outstanding. I am trying to work my way through their menu. I have not left here hungry or disappointed yet. Give them a chance.

Absolutely delicious. So glad to have a location here in Abilene. If you’re looking for a classic hot deli sub, stop into Firehouse!

So we finally tried Firehouse and I liked it better than Subway or McAl’s. It’s to small and to crowded but we liked the food. I am the BIG sandwich with everything on it guy. Firehouse hooked me up with their version of a club. I cut the sandwich into 4 pieces so I could try several of the different sauces. Really enjoyed it and we will be back.

Quality sandwiches but expensive. This isn’t Subway folks. My husband got a large meatball for around $ 8 but he added pepperoni and double meatball which together made the sandwich over $ 12. Added chips and a drink and it was almost $ 15. My medium Italian plus chips and a drink was about $ 9 so we spent $ 25 at a sandwich place. On the positive side they have about 50 different drink choices and a ton of «after order» hot sauces try out. Service was very good.

Awesome food, Awesome Staff!!! Food was great! The location is perfect for Abilene. Had the number 3 combo and it was delicious. I would recommend this place to all.

If it were super expensive I would’ve given it 2 or 1 star. Got the meatball sub. Which was kinda flavorless and didn’t have Italian spices on the cheese which was advertised. My friend got a turkey chopped salad and it looked terrible. Wayyyyyyy too many chopped green bell peppers with very little lettuce.
It was very busy so maybe the food quality will increase over time.
