Nelson Park

I love this park. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the «splash pad». I wish I could just review THAT instead of it reflecting poorly on the rest of the park. The splash pad is what I will be talking about here. It is infested with flies. It’s horrible! There isn’t enough places to sit nor is there enough shade. It is very poorly designed.

Great park has lots of potential for the city Abilene. Back at home we have a lake similar to this one. They do all sorts of things like they could do fireworks also mini gym set ups or do bbq pits threw out the grounds and picnic areas. Like i said this park has lots of POTENTIAL hopefully someone else would see it too. Also noticed that people were setting up for party at the splash pad taking up tables. I know it takes money to make money. I think the city should look into that nd charge to the use of the tables at the splash pad nd put it back into the parks nd building more into the park or upgrade. Like i said it has alot of POTENTIAL.
