Alex’s dedication to serving nothing but the freshest fish is inspiring. It’s hard to find such owner/operators I our over commercialized world. The atmosphere Asian fusion, the menu is creative, and the service is always spot-on… If I’m within 20 miles of this place and craving sushi, the choice is obvious!

My family has eaten at Sushi Ozeki for several years now and we just love it. The atmosphere and setting are perfect and the staff is always there for us. It’s perfect for a quick lunch or intimate dinner with friends. The food… What can I say… Everything is tasty and portion sizes are generous. Try it, you can’t go wrong!

Love this Sushi restaurant. The food is always fresh and the service is top notch. My son introduced us to the place a few years ago and we have been eating there since. The owners Alex and Kelly are friendly, warm and inviting. If you haven’t tried this place yet please do. You won’t regret it!

Whatever you do, do not sit at the sushi bar, you won’t get served, This is strictly a roll joint and a bad one at that. The chef’s idea of something special is to cover each order in spicy tuna! The waitress is nice, but the chef simply ignores you while he makes to go boxes. I have given this place several tries because it is nearby, but it is just not worth it. If you really love sushi, avoid this place like the plague.

I really wish Unilocal let us do half stars. 3.5 stars on Sushi Ozekii. The restaurant was clean and so was the bathroom.(Much appreciated). The service was solid and the sushi was A-OKay. I wish the spicy tuna was a little more spicy as it really didn’t have a kick at all. The extra half star goes to making Spicy Tuna with Crispy Rice for me when it wasn’t on the menu. Overall, a solid sushi restaurant if you’re in the area, but not sure if I would go out of my way to dine here.

Great place. Very well priced. Although the sushi might not be amazing, its good, especially for the price. We get take out there all the time.

This place is BOMB! I live in Beverly Hills and have discerning taste when it comes to sushi. This is a husband and wife and not only do they work their tails off, but the sushi is literally melt in you mouth fresh! Get the Robert roll, the catch roll(I like with yellowtail on top, but you can choose a fish). SO good! Come support it, a hidden gem in Agoura!

I’ve been here before and was always really impressed, but this last time I was kind of let down. I’ve been craving sushi and decides to stop in. Two of my favorite things are spicy tuna hand rolls & spicy scallop hand rolls. Regardless of where I go, I always order them. This time however, the spicy tuna was fire engine red, extremely mushy and not spicy at all. I’ve never experienced spicy tuna that was like that. The spicy scallop roll was extremely salty. Neither one was satisfactory and I am Very disappointed. I’m not sure if I will go back.

We were looking for a light take out dinner and happened upon the reviews from Unilocal. You all were spot on! We ordered the JP roll(not on the menu), the In and Out roll, Rainbow roll and the Albacore popcorn roll. Fish was very fresh, presentation was beautiful and the fusion of flavors in the sauces were very complimentary. Very generous portions of pickled ginger and wasabi were included, as well. Probably one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. Would I return? You betcha, next time gonna eat inside!

I moved into the Agoura area and found this little gem on Unilocal. It has quickly become my go to Sushi place. Service is fantastic. Seated immediately, drink orders taken. They remember me every time I come back and also remember my food allergies(no carrots on salad). Excellent attention to detail. The sushi is great. Very fresh, decent size portions, excellent prices. My fiancé loves the ramen. We find ourselves here once a week. They also have a tv screen over the sushi bar usually with sports on(Go Dodgers). We’ll keep coming back here cause the value is right, the food is awesome, and the owners are very welcoming.

This place never fails to deliver amazing sushi! I came in tonight and orderd a Popcorn California Roll. It was a California roll with generous amounts of lobster tempora on top, and it was delicious! The one serving was enough to fill me up and costs only $ 12. Add a beer to that and you have the perfect meal for one. I highly reccomend this place. I will return again and again

Went for the lunch special on a Friday afternoon. This place was nice and cool on a warm day and it was very clean. The staff was friendly and greeted us immediately. Our drink orders were taken within a minute of being seated. I ordered the lunch combo with teriyaki chicken and beef(all salad). I preferred the chicken over the beef but really had no complaints. The salad was simple but fresh. I will absolutely go back in the future and would recommend this as a lunch spot for anyone in the area. Lunch was reasonably priced, appetizer soft drinks and edamame along with two lunch specials was about $ 35.

Unbelieveable value. We have been there 6 times in the last 2 months since we discovered this place, near our new apt. in Archstone Oak Creek. I don’t know what these other reviewers are doing but they don’t appear to be going to the same restaurant. There is another sushi restaurant, which shall remain nameless, that is wiithin walking distance of our apartment but between the food(awful, nasty, stale) and the attitude(obnoxious, arrogant) we would never set foot in there again. Hate to run down any restaurant but honestly this place WITHINWALKINGDISTANCEOFARCHSTONE, YOUKNOWWHOYOUARE should be put out of business. The fish tastes like it’s been sitting there for a week, the attitude of the servers is worse than a DMV. Now for the good news. Sushi Ozekei is just a gem of a find in a strip mall, nothing fancy, but ridiculously low priced and ridiculously over indulgent in terms of the amount of food they give you PLUS the quality of the fish. We are fans of Tomadachi in Westlake. That seems to have gone downhill lately, and increased their prices. We don’t shop for sushi based on price. we look for the freshest, most delicious sashimi and rolls. Our test is always: hamachi, unagi, spanish mackerel. If they do right by those 3 dishes they are a winner. Sushi Ozekei exceeded our expectations, and they deserve a visit. We don’t review very often, only when we feel strongly one way or the other. So try Sushi Ozekei and you will not want to venture any further.

Went here to grab a quick dinner as I was craving some ramen and sushi. I ended up ordering just a simple miso ramen, which came quickly and was much more than I expected. It was very filling, there were tons of veggies and the broth was great… ALL for just 5 bucks!!! I also ordered California rolls here and I totally expected it to be those tiny dinky little california rolls that you see all too often at many sushi places. HOWEVER, the california rolls were full sized, came with 8 of them and were fresh and delicious. The service over here was also very personal and you could tell that they really tried to provide top notch service. Highly recommended and great place to stop by to grab not only sushi but also ramen and other types of Japanese food!

Our regular spot in the neighborhood had a 40 minute wait and I suggested this place, though I had only been previously for lunch and it was a long time ago. It is small, but comfortable. We got seated after about 15 minutes… it was Valentine’s Day… and everyone was very friendly. The fish is really fresh and quite good… so tasty. We had yellow tail and salmon(she brought us an extra piece) and both were tender and divine. My daughter had the udon, which she seemed to enjoy and a spicy tuna roll… A big plus that they make it without mayo. Our two rolls… which were huge by the way… were the Hacker… awesome… would totally order that again… and the Bengal Tiger. That was good, not great, but I also ordered it without the spicy mayo and I think that might have given it the kick it needed. Will absolutely come back, though we do have our favorite local spot… I love how many good sushi places are in this area now!!!

Tuna Tartar Nachos rock! Love It. Thank you Sushi Ozekii for being our favorite weekly sushi spot.(sometimes a few times a week). This is the only place for sushi in the Agoura to Thousand Oaks area! Head to Malibu for Nobu, no way …

Went for lunch. Dead. No one inside. My miso soup came and noticed it was over salted. Terriyaki salmon came with salad and rice– okay. Twenty minutes later i had a bad stomach ache and the other 2 people I was with did as well. I would NOT go back there
