This might the only Zippy’s on Oahu that is connected to Sears and the mall(in this case, Pearlridge Mall). Anyway, I’ll come here occasionally when visiting the area and they are usually consistent with their service and food. Nice thing is they also have their okazuya and Napoleon’s Bakery next door.

Everyone knows what’s on the menu at a Zippy’s and Napoleon’s Bakery… what’s makes this Pearlridge Sears location different than most, is the Okazuya that resides between the bakery and restaurant. You can get pick up and go bento’s as well as traditional Okazuya items from Sweet Potato Tempura, Corn Beef Hash and Cone Sushi. Very convenient location… with plenty of parking…

Beeline to… OMG + ONO!!! Just recently returned«Home»(former local girl, now live in AZ) for a loved ones funeral. You know it! Right after getting off the plane, made a straight beeline to this Zippy’s location, since it’s the closest one to my Ohana’s house. OMG… the BEST Spaghetti ever!!! You truly CANNOT appreciate how ONO it reeaally is until you live far, far away & can’t get it any damn time you please!(I’m drooling just thinking about it now!!! Lol!!!) Same delicious recipe, same DELICIOUS taste! Glad they’ve never changed it, after allll these years!!! (And trust me, I live on the Mainland w/access to some fine-dining/high-end Italian Restaurants… their sauces aren’t nearly as good as the taste of Zippy’s recipe. Hey… no laughing! :) I’m just saying…) My ONLY objection is that I wanted a scoop of mac salad, instead of the piece of garlic bread that comes with it. Apparently when you order the«Mini» plate you CAN’T sub the mac salad for the bread! Auwe!!! If you want the mac salad or rice you MUST order the Reg. size plate, or order the«Mini» and PAYEXTRA for a side of salad or rice. Soooo not fair! Some of us DON’T want the pc. of garlic bread, & more often than not, I’ve seen people(me included!) just not even touch the bread(doesn’t even come out of that lil brown/tan bag!), and end up tossing it away w/our opala. Seems to me this is a TERRIBLEWASTEOFFOOD!!! I’m sure I’m NOT the only one that feels this way!!! C’mon Zippy’s! Next time I visit home I HOPE you’ll have a change in your Policy!!! I’d like a «choice,» plzzzz!(Mac salad or a scoop of rice, instead of that MANDATORY pc. of garlic bread.) I HATE(ABHOR!!) wasting food!!! Give me some options! ^#^ Mahalo for the«say-so!» Till I return again… Aloooha! :)

Food is nasty! No flavor. No refills!!! They make you pay for an entirely new cup setup. That’s a waste of supplies and bad for the environment. I would rather have just paid for a refill. Also, no condiments are out for use. No napkins, BBQ sauce, ketchup, mistard, and etc. What??! The picture of the bowl of Saimin with wonton on the menu looks like something from Ramen Ya. Instead you get a Styrofoam bowl and it only comes in one size. Will never return to this location. Now I see why the locals don’t go here

I only picked up a benefit chili. $ 9 nowadays! So I’m waiting in line to order and a new cashier opens up. She calls out ’ next in line!’ But then helps the lady behind me. That’s not next in line!

One thing I love about the Zippy’s chain is that they’re always consistent no matter what location you visit. At this location, i’ve never had to wait long for anything. The order lines are fast as well as the time it takes to get your food. I love being able to customize my meals. Today I wanted a hamburger steak with teri sauce instead of brown gravy. Their teri sauce is ONPOINT! So good! I’m so glad they have this Zippy’s at Pearlridge so I can get me teri hamburger steak fix and shop all in one place.

Seriously almost $ 10 for a chili chicken mix plate. 2 scoop rice, 1scoop Mac salad, 2-oz chicken and 2oz of chili. Wtf. The containers are getting bigger and fancier yet the portion size are shrinking.

The Mahi Mahi sandwhich was pretty good. Not excellent but tasty. Needs a sauce to set it off. The reason I vote 2 stars is because they don’t offer free refills on drinks. A fountain drink refill is literally a fraction of the cost. I’m not going to pay full price for a refill. With as many Zippys that are on the island, one would think this would be an added luxory to eat here.

Food wasn’t that great and it was overpriced for what they offer. They also charge full price for a refill on your drink, the restaurant wasn’t clean. I was not at all impressed. 1 star for location.

This Zippy’s is at the end of the mall inside of the Sears building. I usually go to the Zippy’s on Kapahulu near Waikiki. In comparison, this Zippy’s has more seating but seems to have bland food. I got the Hotdog with Chili. It came with steamed white rice. The rice was old and hard. was hard not because it was cooked wrong. It was hard because they gave me old rice that had been left in the steam cooker all day long. The food did not seem as fresh as the Zippy’s on Kapahulu. There was nothing on my plate that seems worth the wait or trouble of going to Zippy’s. Do yourself a favor and find a different location or go to a different restaurant entirely.

Breakfast is okay. For the price, the portions need improvement. I came in for some diner coffee. But I didn’t want to drink coffee on an empty stomach. Customer service is good. The diner coffee is refillable. As I wait for a certain store/business to open, I’m glad this place is within walking distance. Overall, 3 stars for consistent diner food and service.

20 min for a wun tun min. REALLY. Are you rolling the noodles? The noodles are hard and not cooked. Should have fought the traffic and went to Shiro’s.

I ate at another Zippy’s location today! Yay me! I had the Chicken Katsu. It was a little over cooked for me and I do not like their Katsu sauce, however you can’t go wrong with Zippy’s Mac salad. Their Mac salad is my favorite on island. The staff here today was super friendly like I’ve experienced at all the Zippy’s. Tip: ask for the bathroom key if you need to use the bathroom by the red brick wall. 1 stall for all. :)

Lines were long everywhere today for breakfast. I guess no one wanted to cook for valentines day. Well, neither did I. We tried IHOP but the wait was over an hour. We tried big city diner and the wait was over half an hour. Plus it was pouring rain. So we decided to go to pearl ridge and get a parking under the garage so we wouldn’t get wet. We decided to have breakfast at Zippys since it was right there. The line wasn’t very long but it was pretty crowded. Half of the crowd was the usual seniors that go there daily. The table was dirty so I went to the counter to ask for some napkins to wipe it but the lady said she would wipe it. I told which table it was and she wiped 3 other tables before she got to ours. We ordered our food and the cashier was very pleasant and patient. We waited long for our food and when we finally got it, my daughters ever easy eggs was raw and runny. It wasn’t just a little runny, it was like the cracked an egg in the plate and served it to us. They cooked us 2, more eggs after my hungry daughter ate half of my plate waiting for her 2 cooked over easy eggs. My husband went to the counter to ask for napkins so we could take out the raw eggs from the plate and when he asked for napkins, he was asked«what did you need them for?» WTF. In the middle of eating, my grandson had to use the bathroom. I went to the counter to ask for the key. The lady said that someone must be in there because the key wasn’t there. So we waited by the door for the person to come out. No one came out. We finally couldn’t wait and ran all the way to the bathroom in sears. I asked my daughter if they saw anyone come out from the bathroom. She said no. Later on, some other kids had to use the bathroom and the lady walked to the door and checked that it was locked. She walked back to the counter and actually found the key. So, the key was there the whole time while we waited by the door earlier, for nothing! What a horrible experience. I have been here many times and it has never been this bad. But, because of this experience, this place will definitely be avoided!

Zippy’s Pearlridge is part of the island wide chain of Zippy’s restaurants. I remember back in high school going to zippys McCully because it was pretty much the only hang out around. Now Zippy’s is an island wide chain of great food and sometimes very healthy choices. My favorite choice through the decades has been Zippy’s chili with cheese & onions now served over brown rice. Now there’s a combination that pairs Zippy’s chili with their fried chicken. Totally amazing but definitely a guilty meal. When I’m in the mood for it it is immensely satisfying. This location in Pearlridge shopping center makes for a great meeting spot because it is located at the front of Pearlridge shopping center, very easy to find with a huge parking lot located directly in front. It is set up like a full service restaurant with booths and tables but it is self service. That keeps the price low and the atmosphere very low key. For casual meetings in Pearlridge area, it is strongly recommended.

Went here to redeem fundraiser coupons. The cashier started to punch the coupons(to make them invalid) before checking to see if they had the quantities of the items we were asking for. It took abnormally long to collect frozen goods. Also, we got chocolate chip cookie dough, but they mixed it with chocolate chip walnut. Good thing I didn’t have a nut allergy. My husband also ordered a mini pac while there. The cashier kept insisting that it was the plate. Back and forth they went, since she didn’t know the menu. Thumbs down for employee performance.

Walked in for breakfast after a doctors appointment and saw there was quite a lot of people. Thought they were in line to order but it turns out they were waiting for their food. This Zippy’s in particular needs to make it clear where the line to order is and where to wait because if there’s just a whole bunch of people standing around, how can you tell? Service is alright compared to the other Zippy’s on island, but the Portuguese bean soup is always consistent and tastes great

Zippys will always be a Hawaii trademark but I honestly feel like it’s overrated. The prices have gone UP and the portions have gone DOWN. This specific location has gotten my order wrong more than once. And not to mention served me and my daughter RAWCHICKEN! I was absolutely disgusted. I mean they did make me wait 20 – 30 mins for my Korean fried chicken… It should’ve been cooked all the way. Needless to say. I’m taking a LONG break from zippys.
