Yes, It’s a McDonald’s, but that doesn’t mean that the food should be close to un-edible. Here are a few of my experiences… I ordered a Sausage Egg McMuffin. When I took a bite there was still an egg shell in the cooked egg. So gross. I appreciate the«fresh» egg, but I don’t need them to contain egg shells. On another occasion I ordered a Cheeseburger. When I went to take a bite of it I realized that it was not a cheeseburger, but instead a Sausage Patty with a cheese slice, pickle, and ketchup/mustard. Gross! On two occasions, while waiting at the 2nd drive-thru window for my order I saw employees who were drinking out of their own cups, then dip their used cups in the ice that they use for everyone, and then refill their drinks at the machine. Very unsanitary. Also, the few past times that I’ve been there, there’s been a homeless man who stands at the entrance of McDonald’s and at the end of the drive-thru and begs for your change. Very uncomfortable. The employees don’t seem to mind, as they allow him to loiter and harass their patrons. It’s a McDonald’s, so you can’t expect the best. Just hope for it.

Where else can you enjoy a bay view while eating a big mac? Does it get better than this? You know your coming here — why wouldnt you? The most exclusive McDs location around. Take your to go order across the street t o the beach or sit at the counter overlooking the bay. Food has been ok. Heard once another patron complain about a cold breakfast burrito?! Ive never had an issue with snack wraps, fish fillet, fries or sundaes. Staff is outstanding here. Friendly.

Am not a big McDonalds fan, but love the beach view at this particular McDonalds. Do wish, with such a lovely view, that they’d wash their picture windows. The food is still typical McDonalds, not bad. Not good. Just a l’ill something to hold you over. The milkshakes are tasty but could be thicker. Nice portion of fries with the meal order. Give four stars for the view and friendly customer service.

My back up coffee spot and go to after work when I work late and need a quick meal. I live off the dollar menu and typically grab a mcdouble for the drive home. Service is usually the same anywhere you go do a hit or miss should be expected. Today I rushed in when the drive through was bare and grabbed a large coffee. Painless today usually a long line depending on what time you go. So long as I’m in the area I’ll probably hit this place up, other than that there’s a McDonald’s everywhere you go.

Alejandro the manager on duty tonite was so damn worried about overcharging me for some damn eggs(charged me for scrambled eggs instead of what I actually ordered round eggs, 1.19 at any other mcd’s including theirs during the day time) and didn’t include my Coke I ordered with one of my meals smh. Even told me «whatever» when I drove away! I worked at mcd’s during my younger days and whatever happened to pleasing the customers?! He got his sausage mcmuffin with egg worth and some! I’m definitely calling corporate on that ass

Definitely one of the better Eastbay Mcdonalds locations. The staff is always friendly and quick with the orders, and the lobby and restrooms always stay well maintained and fully stocked. Also, they have prime real estate next to the beach, no other Mcdonalds locations in the area can beat the view or accessibility. If you are in the area and in the mood for a quick bite, make this your go to spot before you catch some beach rays :)

The 5STARS is for BEVERLY! She always has the best attitude & she’s always got a smile on her face. I always see her running around helping everyone even when its super busy. Its like she has 7 hands at one time. I live by webster st & theres a McDonalds on Central there but I drive all the way to the Shorline McDonalds just to see Beverly! Thank you for making sure that your customers are well served! * high five !!!

how can i give this place no stars. this is the worst mc donalds in the bay area. every time i use the drive through they always mess up my order and these are the same people who want to get paid $ 15.00 an hour. you dont deserve it. when i order the simplest thing on the menu like a cheeseburger. they get my money and when i look in my so call cheeseburger there is no cheese on my burger. we see rats running around the drive through this is the last time im ever going to this dump. always check your bag when ordering in the drive through. there good for screwing people over. customer service really sucks. this is the mc donalds in alameda on shoreline.

I should know better than to order fast food, and when I do, to order at the drive-thru…unfortunately, proven again, TWOWRONGS don’t make a RIGHT!!! Got home with our order and they forgot my daughter’s double cheeseburger… WTF!!! and the Coke was flatter than FLAT… like they ran out of carbonation and no one wanted to refill it… again, WTF!!! Save your money folks, you can do better than here!!! To top it off, regional office could really give a shit… probably too busy counting their money… bye McD’s…you had your chance… sticking to Five Guys, you can order on-line and the wait is worth it, because there, you actually GET what you PAYFOR!!!

So slow & they didn’t even mix my McFlurry. Which I know is really stupid, and a total first world problem. But it’s the little things, you know?

Customer service sucks. A bunch of rude young kids who hate their job and gossip with eachother. They do not pay attention to orders and messes up the orders. Staff is very rude, wouldn’t come back to this a McDonald’s.

Drive thru’ is hardly busy which is a plus! How ever, today when I ordered 6 pieces of chocolate chip cookies, the lady at the window told us that they only had 2 because no one is there to bake any(like really?). Then we hear couple female staff laughing and they decided to bake some and had us wait on the side for about 6−8mins for them.

The McD has an spacious interior, allowing a view into the Bay. You may run into families and friends there enjoying brunch next to the bay water view. The wifi access also attracts laptop users and kids. Negatives: There is always some family with kids or teenagers that act out and create a scene. They are attracted to the scene and then tempted to ruin it for others through yelling and all the nonsense. The food! I tried to limit it to their shakes and desert items. Positive: If you have to wait for someone for a long time, this is a good place to be productive to some degree. The frequent elderlies will not bother you while you type away next to the peaceful bay view in front.

Came here tonight for the drive thru. The girl who was taking the order had a bad attitude but whatever she might of had a bad day. When we pulled up to the window she gave us the wrong drinks and wrong sizes. When we tried to tell her she just ignored us and gave us attitude. I ordered a regular coke and a medium high c. She gave us a medium sprite and a small high c. Instead of just taking the drinks back and giving us the right order she took back the medium sprite gave us a KID size coke and gave us an extra medium high c. I have to carry two kids why would I went to carry two drinks instead of one !? She hands us our bag with such an attitude because she is annoyed that we are unhappy with our order so far. Before we pull out I made sure to check the bag and of course I had a burger missing. I am allergic to pickle and I made it VERYCLEARNO pickle. So not only did they forget my burger but once I got it back it had pickles in it. Also fries were cold but at that point I didn’t want to complain anymore worrying something might happen to my food.

I’ve been craving fries(McDonald’s fries that is) and this is the closest one to me and within walking distance. Okay, I’ve read some of the reviews about this place and I did hear the employees carrying on conversations in their native language. So what? If you go to any business establishment where a majority of its employees speak the same language, I would bet that that is the language you would hear when they are talking with one another. The inside of the place is by far not«filthy» or messy. I am greeted with a friendly smile and courteous service. The place has free wi-fi; however, no place to plug in. What’s up with that? I do not like the way their parking lot is situated. You literally have to go around their fenced-in parking lot and enter from Shoreline Drive. Wish they would make it easier to enter straight from the South Shore Shopping Center. They do, however, have a great view of the Bay and definitely good fries!

Went for the free small coffee promo. Wondered why the cup felt like it was sloshing around — they didn’t even fill the cup!

Absolutely RUDE. Cashier is chewing gum with her mouth open and doesn’t greet the customer. She was giving another customer before the evil eye because she didn’t understand the order being placed. I’m Filipino but it’s just plain RUDE to speak Tagalog in the middle of placing an order. I only come here as a last resort and on a last minute whim. I don’t usually care to leave reviews but it’s Alameda by the beach and I expected much better service.

If I can give this McDonald’s zero stars, it would be a no-brainer. To start off, the place is an absolute mess. The tables are unwiped and the bathrooms are gross and filthy. However, what gives this particular McDonald’s distinction is the outright rudeness of their workers. Many of the workers would rather chat with their friends in their native tongue than serve the customers. When they do finally get around to serving you, they treat you like you’re imposing on their time. These workers give a whole new meaning to term«poor customer service.» If you’re in Alameda and you have a craving for McDonald’s, try the one on Webster and Central instead.

Bad customer service. Don’t recommend this McDonald’s! Management and staff Ignored customers when walking in. Had customers wait plus give an attitude first thing In the morning, McDonald’s must you send your workers back to McDonald’s university for retraining, customer service 101! I’m disappointed to have experienced this from their employees, management especially! They will definitely be hearing about this one!

Not the cleanest spot. And at drive through, they dropped our money and said«sorry». That’s it. Not sure you can expect a whole lot … Meh. Plus I have heard stories of inappropriate things happening in the place, that probably is rated R content ha.
