Update: This business site has closed:(Feel Good Bakery lives on on Park Street though! Original: Don’t let the fact that it is tucked away keep you from this FIND! Feel Good Café is located on the second floor of Mariner Square Gym, which is the first building on your right as you come up out of the Webster tube into Alameda. It has that warm comfortable feeling of some of the better coffeehouses, but with fantastic tasty treats and delicious food. It is a great spot for WFH days because the WiFi access is good(and free), there is great natural light, and somehow it remains quiet even with the hustle and bustle about. I am hesitant to tell too many people about Feel Good Café, but I definitely want to support a great business. Enjoy!

This is a café in a gym. For that, I guess it’s OK. They have lots of tables and a friendly vibe and you can have a sit-down breakfast or lunch with silverware. It’s kid-friendly, which is good because a lot of them are taking swim classes and such downstairs. You can watch them splash around from the special viewing area by the back of the café. The latte wasn’t very good. The menu was limited, and the food was just OK.(Note to self: sourdough is better for sandwiches or a soup container than it is for pancakes.) I wouldn’t come out here for a destination meal, but if you’re already there, it’s fine.

This place has been my hook up when I don’t have a lunch after I work out. The sandwiches are fairly typical but they are filling and well made, and everything is fresh. They serve them with a tossed salad as well. I haven’t tried the burgers but I hear they are very good. The café is in the second floor of Mariner Square Athletic Club, and is great after a workout. There have been a few restaurants there and this seems to have the best chance to survive. They have catered a few events for my work as well, and the service, price, and quality of the food has been great.
