Delicious food, amazing service. I love the atmosphere and staff was extremely helpful! Best seafood in Albuquerque

Updating my review, as I’ve been back a couple of times and think they deserve more than 3 stars. I was resistant to embracing the seafood, but once I got on board, I realized that I like Bonefish a lot. Even though it’s a chain, which was one of my original complaints :) They have some really delicious appetizers and I like that they offer a lot of healthy entrees. Plus, flip side of being a chain, they offer a pretty great happy hour and«special of the day» discounts. They also do a lot of giveaways on social media, offer gift cards, etc. So I like them because I’ve been able to go on various occasions and get a healthy and delicious meal without breaking the bank. You just gotta know when to go and what to order! For example, today I went around 5:30PM and they have happy hour drink specials until 6:30PM. Done. It was also a Wednesday and they were offering one of the signature appetizers for ½ off. Boom. I noticed some people around us in the bar just stuck with that as their dinner, but we went big and ordered two entrees. All together(one drink, one app and two entrees) was about $ 55. Not bad for the amount of well-made, delicious food we got! I’ve also always had really good service, and that makes a huge impact on the overall experience.

Fantastic service and the food is phenomenal. I had the Ahi Tuna sashimi app and a salad. My DH had the salmon and we tried the Chocolate Crème Brulee. Delish!

I’ve been too this restaurant 4 times because my wife likes it and every time I leave disappointed. The latest trip I had the Mahi Mahi special for $ 24. It came with crab meat on top, lemon butter sauce, asparagus, and 1 side. Sounded very appetizing so I gave it a shot. I received a smallish fish fillet, and had to literally squint to see the crab meat. I thought, «ok this must be packed with flavor since it’s a small portion.» To my disappointment there was literally no seasoning or flavor whatsoever, aside from the wood grill it was cooked on. I understand you don’t want to do too much to a fish, but this was really bad. The few granules of crab were OK at best. The au gratin potatoes were the best part of the meal along with the pesto oil that was given with the opening bread. I do not recommend this place unless you want to pay big prices for small portions with big disappointment for taste/flavor. Head for another seafood place in the city.

Great ambiance. Came in for a drink to escape the crowded mall. Best decision ever. Only had a Cosmo and appetizers and all was good. Definitely will be coming back.

My rating is really a 3.5 but that is not an option. Recently they have been doing some enticing promos so we tried it out since we really knew nothing of them. The approach is a bit schizo but then again, anchored in a mall, I guess they have to appeal across a broad spectrum. It mostly seems about seafood of course but then there is essentially a sub section of pub fare. On our first visit we choose the bang bang shrimp and it was a hit and substantial for an appetizer and priced right. My spicy tuna bowl was dead on as well with a balance of freshness and spiciness with a hint of sweetness. My wife’s surf and turf went over well and the spaghetti squash was a nice touch as a side. The next time I tried a special-swordfish with butternut squash ravioli and it was quite satisfying particularly because the swordfish was actually quite delicate as swordfish can be a bit tough at times. However, at our most recent visit, things went down the tubes. Changed up the appetizer and tried the crab cakes. What an unmitigated disaster. First, they are not crab cakes. There was nothing holding them together. At all. Just random pieces of crab lying on a plate that were hard to eat with a fork. And extremely overpriced. Frankly, I was shocked that management even let them get to the table as crab«cakes». They are not cakes by any definition. Then we decided to try the kobe beef burgers for a change of pace. Nothing special(you would thing they would try to do something different but no dice) and the fries were just standard issue fries and not really crispy at all but a bit limp. To compound all of this, as we were waiting a bit of a time for them, our waiter came by and stated«Your fish will be out in a little bit». Really! Then they arrived and my wife had a little container of ketchup on her plate but not I so I had to wait in order to eat my fries. Then, to top it off, early in our dining time, our waiter took the coupon I had left on the table that was 50% off. Well, when I got the bill, nothing had been taken off. So I flagged him down and pointed it out. Then, 5 mins. later he came back and the bill reflected only a 20% discount! So I flagged him down yet again and after ANOTHER10 mins. I finally got the correct tab. Just completely unacceptable.

Craving Mussels Josephine, I went to this Albuquerque location. Service was prompt, beers pricey for the size. Mussels arrived, very large portion. Only problem was that red onions and garlic were added literally on top, not mixed in, not having an opportunity to be slightly cooked by the addition of the hot mussels, which would have reduced their harshness and pungency. I also ordered the Caesar salad, which should be called Caesar soup, as it was swimming in the dressing. Not rocket science, easy to do better, which is why it was disappointing.

Bonefish Grill — Albuquerque, NM. This review is being written after our third or fourth visit here. It’s by far one of my most favorite restaurants ever, but especially here at home. Every single time we have eaten here it has been absolutely amazing quality food! This last time we went we were one of the only couples in the place, and everything was lightening fast… and it didn’t skimp on taste. I pretty much cannot move past their amazing rib-eye steak or the bang bang shrimp. My husband always tries new entrees. We have never been disappointed here. The bread is actually the only thing I’m not wild about. It’s pretty plain, but I have to say, for being a seafood heavy restaurant(obviously), they make amazing steaks. We just tried a dessert for the first time, the macadamia brownie, and it’s amazing! Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about this place. Its totally in the top five for me, and especially for really nice occassions.

The service at this restaurant was prompt, friendly and helpful. I had the grouper with spinach and lump crab special. It was special. Perfectly cooked and attractively served with spaghetti squash and green beans. My husband had the grilled scallops and shrimp which he loved. Yes, we had dessert. I had the pumpkin crème brûlée with a delicate pumpkin flavor. My husband had the Jamaican coconut pie with rum sauce, yum. We both recommend The Bone Fish.

I’m not big on chain restaurants at all. But this place… I had the most delish dinner here last weekend. I got the truffle Mac & Cheese as a side and it was everything I hoped for. I also got the lobster roll. I lived in Maine for a summer so I have had the best of the best lobster rolls. This was right up there with them.

I enjoy Bonefish Grill. It’s a chain and you know what to expect when you arrive. The décor is upscale and trendy. The menu that offers a little something for everyone. The menu of course focuses on fish and seafood dishes, but there is some beef/chicken dishes and of course a burger so everyone will be happy. They offer a full bar and I can see that this could be a very popular place for professionals in the area to get together after work. The bar service was very friendly and quick. The offer a small but thorough selection of wines by the glass and bottle. Again, it’s thoughtfully chosen so that there is a little something for everyone. Full disclosure I ate lunch alone at about 3 pm so the place was mostly empty. I ate at the bar and my bartender service was phenomenal. I enjoyed the bang bang shrimp tacos and a few glasses of wine for about 30 $. It might be a little high priced for a daily lunch but for a dinner with friends or a date venue I think it’s spot on. The flavors are really good, I’m sure there is a test kitchen that makes sure all the recipes are easily able to be duplicated and are agreeable to most palates. You won’t be getting anything too far out of the box at Bonefish, but it will be delicious and well priced.

We had an excellent time at Bonefish for a Friday early afternoon lunch break while shopping the Uptown area. Mostly due to Angel, our superb knowledgeable server! She was extremely friendly, personable, quick wit and great sense of humor. Anyway, onto to the food review. The menu was spot on without needing to peruse a huge book like at COUGHCOUGHBJ’s lol… it was a nice & simple menu which was hard to pick something out as the selections all sounded delicious. I decided on fish n chips! Very appealing entrée however the only negative feedback is the greasy factor of the fried batter. Otherwise was nice & crisp without drying out the fish. The Bang Bang shrimp tacos were also very delicious!

The food was very good. The service was even better. I think we had the best server we’ve ever had. Which got them an extra star. The atmosphere was very nice too, I was very pleased all around. This is the kind of place I like to keep in rotation. I was glad we went. Prices were Suprisingly reasonable as well.

Had been wanting to try this place for a while and finally had the opportunity. Upon walking in, restaurant is very nicely decorated. Hostess greeted us and sat us in a corner booth. Placed a drink order and looked the menu over. Menu is very direct. Drinks on back, apps and food on other. No excessive menu pages, which was great. Drinks– I got the lemonade(rimmed with sugar, very lemony, mouth-puckering lemony but good) my daughter got a berry drink which was excessively sweet.(would have been nice to mix the two, lol) Food — we both got the salmon(i got couscous side, daughter fries) my side was pretty flavorless(just couscous with tomatoes) my daughters fries were good(seasoned with salt and pepper, hot and crisp) Salmon was very good just small. Portions– we both got the salmon but my daughters portion was pathetic. Was probably 1⁄3 the portion of mine.(but cooked well, just microscopic) Service — very good. Waitress and hostess were very good(hence the third star) will be back to try something else and update. Good food just need bigger portions or lower price.

It’s amazing how simply walking through a door can transport you far, far away. That’s definitely what happens upon entering Bonefish, and it’s a pleasant surprise. We decided to start the meal off with the beef and ginger pot stickers, which were pretty darn delicious. They were cooked perfectly, and really flavorful. For the main course, I had the sirloin and crab cake along with sugar snap peas and white truffle mac n cheese. My steak was a little under cooked, but not inedible. Everything else was perfect, and every bite was great. I sampled my hubby’s crab fried rice, and it was so good I wished I had ordered it as well. We skipped dessert due to our server’s extreme slowness. The place wasn’t busy enough to warrant it(we sat in the bar area), and we didn’t want to wait around another 30 minutes for dessert and our check. All in all, this is a sweet spot to grab a bite if you’re in the area. Service is spotty, so if that’s a deal breaker for you I don’t think this is the place for you.

Food has always been consistent. Poor service and management. Watch your credit cards. They charged card twice once for meal and then same price and included tip. When we called to dispute it, manager blamed credit card company. It was very clear that it had been run twice and server walked away with 125.00 tip. Will never eat there again and make sure all know to watch their credit cards.

Bonefish Grill… like a comfy pair of jeans. In my previous line of work, I traveled a lot. I somehow always seemed to end up at a hotel with a Bonefish next to it. It was this weird superpower that I had. I became very familiar with the Bang Bang Shrimp. When I heard that Albuquerque was finally getting one, we waiting the two/three months«hype» period before visiting it. When we walk in we were able to get a table immediately in the bar area, facing a tv! Hooray — football Sunday, ya’ll. I knew exactly what I wanted — or did I? No, I did. It was just a variation of it. I went with the bang bang shrimp tacos that ended up coming out of the tortilla because I forgot to ask for corn tortilla and straight into my mouth — bang bang shrimp! :) Just like I remember it. Super saucy and oh so yummy! No muss, no fuss but tasty food but be prepared for the calories.

First order of business: Bonefish ups the echelon as far as ambiance goes for this mall(er, Coronado«Center» as it’s now rebranded). The place is dark and somewhat sophisticated, without pretension, even during the lunch hour. The environs have a delicate, soft feel that aim to compare with the neighboring Uptown restuarants, and honestly the interior simply scores. It’s so removed from the Wet Seal/Hot Topic/Fuddruckers vibe that has encompassed this ABQ behemoth, I was impressed immediately. Music was cool. I was impressed with the service, too. The front desk was attentive both visits, I ate at the bar both times(had work to do), the mixologist was insanely cool, not hovering, not removed, she was fantastic. I asked her, both visits, for suggestions. For my first foray I tried the Bang Bang shrimp Po’ Boy, she said the Bang Bang was their signature, and I tried to avert flashbacks to Vietnam war cinema of my childhood.(Full Metal Jacket, anyone?) My second foray was the Florida Cobb salad with salmon. Included: a cup of corn & lump crab soup(yummers!) and the macadamia nut brownie dessert. All told, I think I have a handle on this place. So, you know how places like TGI Fridays and Applebees have breaded, candied shrimp by the bowlful? Basically culinary candy. Bonefish seriously elevates this concept with massive shrimp that burst when ya bite ‘em, but it’s the same game plan. They also get fancy with the salads, they fill this glass cup with your greens and spread the mess on your bowl when they deliver it. Clever, for sure, but not terribly effective and honestly, so commercial. Look, I don’t blame ‘em for employing flash and calories to score points with the public. As I mentioned, they have to appeal to really bland tastebuds. I’ll applaud ‘em one more time for bringing fish and seafood to our dry shores, we need more of this. But man, the plates here need some inspiration. Anybody heard of Thai Express? It’s just up the street.

Wow oh wow. Who would have thought this place has such amazing food. A huge junk of fish on the fish sandwich, crab cakes were good and services were exceptional. Very attentive, polite, my drink was never once empty. I’m officially impressed with their food and service and the atmosphere. Some night complaint about the price, but it was not expensive at all. 2 people with appetizer, 2 entrees and a desert for less than 50 bucks with tips? What a steal.
