El Taco Tote Coors

One of the best places in town to get tacos. Hands down! The restaurant is always very clean, salsa bar very well stocked and the service is great.

I’m a Taco Whore. Storefront, truck, dive, upscale, bus (yep, there’s a Taco Bus)… I’m not picky. I’ll take ‘em all, and I’ll take ‘em often. Strange then, that when I walked in, I felt the urge to order a quesadilla. Corn tortillas are an underdog in the quesadilla world, and my personal favorite. When the server acknowledged that yes, they can and do make corn tortilla quesadillas, and that those tortillas are made from scratch, in-​house, every day… Well, I couldn’t resist. Asada tacos be damned, I chose to crash on the Maize Siren’s crispy cheesy shores. After a wait that seemed a few minutes too long for a slow afternoon, my order was delivered to my table. Two 8-​inch corn tortillas, thin and scarred with gorgeous grill marks, were folded over melted cheese and tender sliced grilled white meat chicken. They were the right combination of crispy and chewy, and once adorned with several of the salsas from the extensive salsa bar, a bit more savory. It shouldn’t have been so difficult to find a clean table, with three employees and just as many tables of customers. Salsas are labeled mild, medium and hot, but I found the majority to be on the very mild side. Fresh cilantro is a plus in my book. Mexican music blaring through the speakers makes it more authentic, and less chain-​ish, but it was ridiculously loud. I will probably go back again, if only to try the tacos.

Great food, very clean in the eating area. The toppings bar was well stocked and fresh. The bathroom wasn’t super clean, though.

My husband abd i decided to try el taco rote. It was delicious. We are both from Cali, and i really dont lije «new» mexican food. El taco tote is the closest to cali mexican food we’ve found since moving here. They had actual Carne Asada! Want Carne Asada fries? They got ‘em! I was so excited lol. Their fresh veggie bar was stocked with all the typical sides. Very delicious! We’re going back. Many many times!
