Management, you need to do your job in terms of training and efficiency. It’s frustrating to sit OVER25MINUTES in your drive thru. There’s no excuse for that! Then when I finally get to the menu to order, the«seasonal» donut that’s advertised isn’t even available(the employee said its not available for the rest of the season)!!! Why have advertisement up for it if you’re not selling it?! Then, while trying to order, the drive through dude is goofing off and talking to other employees rather than paying attention to the order. Ended up repeating myself FIVETIMES for 3 strawberry donuts and 3 Oreo donuts since everything else happened to be sold out at 9am. That sealed it for me. By the time I got to the pick up window, I didn’t even want the donuts anymore. At the window, I’m thinking the gal who was apologizing was a shift lead or something. Apologies up the ying yang about the wait, the lack of selection, etc etc and ended up giving me a coupon for«next time». I appreciate the coupon and all. but there isn’t going to be a next time, sorry. This location needs to get its sh*t together when it comes to turn around time for the drive-thru, update their promotional signage, and have some sort of screen on the drive-thru board that reflects what items they have run out of(corporate should address that). Lesson learned, and this experience has enforced why we’re gonna stick with Rebel Donuts from now on.

Ok, let’s be honest: I LOVEKK doughnuts, and although I am diabetic and shouldn’t have them at all, I have to break down occasionally and have one or two or three — for breakfast. That said, I have serious issues with this location of KK. On Saturday morning, July 25, I had occasion to visit this location and, decided that since the parking lot seemed to be rather full, I would go through the drive-through lane. I got to the order kiosk and placed my very simple order for six doughnuts, turned the corner and ran into a line of cars in which I was the 5th one in line. I sat… and sat… and sat… and sat. While I was sitting in the line, I saw at least three cars(visible from where I was next to the building) park, drivers and passengers enter the building, and then leave with their purchases. I don’t know how many other customers may have arrived and left during my sojourn in the drive-through lane. All that I do know is that for approximately 8 minutes, there was NOMOVEMENT in the line whatsoever. Finally, some disembodied arms gave two full dozen boxes to the driver, and two carriers of beverages. That vehicle left, and I was able to move up a little bit. For approximately another 8 minutes, there was NOMOVEMENT in the line. Again, the arms appeared and gave the driver of vehicle #2 a stack of two boxes(dozen size) of doughnuts and a couple of beverages. Yeah! I moved up another car length. FINALLY, I was able to get to the window, after nearly 20 minutes of sitting in the drive-through lane, only to have the attendant ASK me what my order was. That was when I found out that one of the items I ordered has been discontinued. So I replaced the order with another item. My order: two original doughnuts two custard-filled chocolate-topped two raspberry-filled What I received: two original doughnuts two chocolate-iced doughnuts and two white cream-filled with chocolate icing and a purple something across the top I got home and I was — and remain — furious. The attendants(there were two) were obviously aware that I had been sitting in the line for about 20 minutes and they tried to apologize for the delay. They gave me three coupons for A free doughnut. I was very vocal in expressing my displeasure. Tips for this location: Do NOT let customers order multiple dozens of doughnuts in the drive-through. It takes a while to fill those boxes and to prepare beverages. The drive-through lane should be for small orders and should be an efficient way. I told my spouse that his favorite filled doughnut has been discontinued; he was not happy. I will NEVER go through the drive-through lane again at this location. The way that the lane is constructed, there is no way out except to stay in lane. If there had been a bail-out place, I would have left. But I was forced to sit in that lane for 1⁄3 of an hour for an order that was botched. I may not ever go back to this location. It is obvious that management is not doing its job. By the way, when I exited the drive-through, the number of cars in the parking lot had dwindled to almost none. Obviously the customers in the store take priority over car customers. BAH!

I visited my first Krispy Kreme in September 1984 in Hampton, VA. The donuts here are as good as they have ever been, which is to say, if you get them just as they are being made, they’re great! This location, however is losing attention to detail. I’m sitting in the dining area as I write this. Before sitting down, I had to find a paper napkin and clean the seat and table of crumbs and sugar. To my right is a table with a chair knocked over on it’s side. I also remember, in 1984, sitting at the counter, and being served my excellent glazed donut on a glass plate with a cup of hot coffee in a heavy mug. Now, it’s all paper, plastic, and cardboard. To be fair, that’s true of all ABQ Krispy Kremes. I would gladly pay extra for quality, service, and a more pleasant experience, but that doesn’t seem to be an option anymore. Bottom line, if you’re looking for Krispy Kreme in ABQ, this is the best location for size and variety. Just don’t expect much in terms of atmosphere.

I’m not sure I really need to review Krispy Kreme. The donuts are hot and fresh. The coffee is very hot and strong! Very good customer service! They gave me an extra donut because«they were coming out a little small.»

Krispy kreme is your typical chain donut store. It use to b that you could go in and get a free donut as you watch the donuts being made. Yum fresh warm donuts only problem with that is the donuts are so sweet you don’t want one after you’ve eaten your free warm one. But they no longer offer that. It’s still fun for the kids to go inside and watch the donuts being made seems to take u back in time. They offer a variety of drinks to wash down your sweet treat. You even get a paper gay on your way out!

After a big order, the cashier forgot the most important part… my coffee. I looked like a zombie waiting for my beloved, then gave me a free coffee and apologized. Made my morning! Who knew they threw bday parties? An inexpensive and kid friendly party :) good idea!

My daughter likes coming to watch them make doughnuts so we come about once a month, watch, and grab a dozen. We saw a sign about a kids/family night and we were excited to bring her for this. We came at the time on the sign and the place was deserted. We went to the counter and ordered a few items then inquired about the event. The girl was completely clueless and in spite of us pointing to the big giant banner hanging advertising this event seemed unclear as to why we were there. We asked to speak to the manager who approached and confirmed this should be happening. She got us a paper hat, took my daughter and I back to make a doughnut, and then left us there. Once we were done making the doughnut the staff seemed unclear what to do with us – after standing there we just walked ourself out and back to our seats. We waited for someone to approach us and have us do the next part of the experience but no one ever did — so we just left. I don’t really care for the doughnuts at Krispy kreme because they are way too sweet for my liking but we continued to come back for an experience — we definitely had one.

In the world of corporate doughnut mongering, Krispy Kreme reigns supreme. Sure, they’ve lost some market share in years past due to some health fads and Dunkin Donuts expansion into coffee, but few people can deny that delicious presence under the lids of their green-spotted boxes. From their basic glazed to my personal favorite the custard filled to the seasonal offerings like pumpkin crème filled, Krispy Kreme offers consistently decadent fare for a reasonable price. What makes them so unique is their light, airy texture, their sweet-but-not-too-sweet glaze, and the myriad of flavors they offer on a daily basis. They offer all the standards like jelly, crème, and custard filled, cake and glaze, as well as some more adventurous combinations. Nothing is too off the wall here, no bacon maple, for example, but there is always plenty to choose from. There are some local options in ABQ that I like better, and I don’t visit Krispy Kreme all that often, but each time I do, it’s a treat.
