I went in for highlights a few weeks ago and I was severely disappointed. Not only was my hair barely lighter than my natural hair, it was orange. This was after I sat waiting for my appointment for 30 minutes because they didn’t tell the person I had arrived. I was rushed from the start, didn’t receive any of the services they supposedly offer, ended up with a horrible color job, and still had to pay over $ 100 for my services. His recommendation was come in several more times (meaning several hundreds of dollars more) to continue my hair coloring. I’m so disappointed by this trip. It was so expensive for such horrible results.

I hired Rosanna to do my hair for my wedding, and I couldn’t have been more impressed with her. I am from out of state and didn’t have a chance to meet her — much less schedule a trial — before my wedding, so I was a little nervous. That didn’t last long: as soon as I explained (vaguely) to Rosanna what I wanted, she instantly understood and executed it better than I could have ever imagined. I got compliments on my hair all night! She also did the hair for the mothers and a couple bridesmaids, and I loved how unique each style looked. Plus, she was a delight to work with — fun, friendly, and even willing to jump in and lend a hand as we tried to fashion a makeshift stand for a wedding-​related chalkboard. I really cannot recommend Rosanna highly enough.

Had an updo last Friday for a formal event. I was super late and they still got me in. Vanessa did a great job! She even finished on time for her next client after me. Whew! It was a crazy day and I really appreciate the staff making sure I was ready for my event that evening!

Outstanding salon! I have thick wavy hair and it is always difficult to get my layers right. (Anyone with ethnic hair knows how hard it is to get the shape just right.) Raquel did an amazing job and I left with smooth, flowing layers. Best cut I’ve had in years!

I absolutely love this place! I don’t really have a regular stylist. Everyone there is really awesome at what they do. It’s a little pricey, but it’s Aveda and you totally get what you pay for. I’ve been going there for two years and have never walked out unhappy. I really look forward to my haircuts!

It’s a nice salon, the service is nice and the atmosphere is nice. I was happy with my first haircut there, I had Vanessa. About 9 months later I went back and asked her to cut my hair in the same way, just to trim it up. Well, that is not what happened. This is probably the most upsetting haircut I have ever had. She did not just trim up the same cut, she cut 7 inches off and also the cut is extremely uneven and erratic, I look at it and it makes no sense to me at all. IT was disguised by styling when I left. My daughter asked me if I gave to locks of love, that is how much was cut off. It’s now been three weeks and I am so upset about this cut and how bad it is and how long this is going to take to grow out. I called today and was told that since it is over 10 days they are not going to fix it. I don’t think I will ever trust someone again, just cut my own hair. I think that most haircutters just do what they think is right, regardless of what you like. This is the final straw for me.

Previously referenced — Monique is the BOMB! Love her — she got my hair color right first time! Tonia (spelling?) gave me a great Pedi! The Aveda products smell good and aren’t as pricey as I anticipated — This is my new salon in ABQ for sure.

I found this place on accident when I was having a hair emergency. Monique D… is really an aritst. Mark Pardo trains his staff well and they greet you sincerely and offered me hot tea on a cold rainy day. This place wants your business and it shows. I even made an appointment for my husband next week and he’s a picky dude! Thanks Monique
