Really awesome space. Love the ambiance. It is a comfortable place to study. Never too loud or crowded. Really artsy. New art all over and changed periodically. Coffee is to amazing. MY favorite is the honey bee. It is the perfect mix of honey, lavender, milk, and espresso. Light and not too sweet with hints of lavender that doesn’t overpower the coffee. Green tea latte is also very good. There is definitely matcha flavor in it. Winter spice latte actually is spicy and has good kick to it. Haven’t tried any other drink, but they all seem very good. The coffee itself seems to be very good quality.

Great brewed coffee. Experience is a bit hit or miss. Last time we were there was a big miss. Out of the nitro brew(which is what we came for). Person taking our order was incridibly confused the whole time, must have been very new. Owners are great, coffee comes from their family’s plantation which is awesome.

My new favorite coffee shop in Albuquerque! The staff is pleasant and accommodating, while the space is cozy while retaining enough of a «hip» vibe to rival the other indie coffee purveyors. The owners have a coffee finca in Colombia and source their beans from there. It’s businesses like these that will help revitalize the downtown area – get out and support them!

This place had a nice selection of unique lattes, I tried the honey/lavender with soy milk and it was delicious =)

Nice, quaint, simple place to get a good cup of coffee downtown. Music was not overly annoying, conversations seemed to be good. Outlets for plugging in electronics were ample. A 12 ounce cappuccino will set you back $ 3. «Check-in» with Unilocal and receive a 25% discount. Very cool. There are two types of «cappuccino» — one that is strictly espresso with foam, the other with more milk(almost like a latte) with froth on top. I prefer the former, and the Brew makes their cappuccinos heavy on the milk. Nice size, portion, and good value regardless. Enjoyed the 2 hours I spent here surfing the internet and watching the locals enjoy a quaint coffee shop downtown.

I love the people who work here and I love the dark roast. I find Villa Miriam’s medium and light roasts just to citrusy(bright). The dark roast is delicious. I also love there specialty espresso drinks. I give it 4 stars only because over ½ the coffee they roast is not my «cup of coffee». Again it might be different for others but for me anything but the dark roast tastes like lemons. Beyond that this place is wonderful.

Update***In South Africa, I had a red latte which is what The Brew is paying homage to with the rooibus latte. The Brew version is sweeter and not as strong, but still a tasty alternative to coffee or plain tea. As South African culture becomes more popular, I’m sure the red latte will become a MUST try. I love seeing it on the menu. The Brew is exploring the wide world of hot beverages and making them local. Thank you!*** My friend raved about the butter coffee, so I had to try it. I really liked how the fats in the butter and coconut oil soften the bitterness of the coffee. It’s really delicious and a refreshing alternative to good old milk. Last time I was not thrilled with my black coffee, so I am glad I tried something new. I love the design of the space and have studied in their coffee bag upholstered chairs twice. I will definitely be back.

Very good coffee. Not burnt taste like typical American coffee. Well made and cool atmosphere. Good for gluten free people also

This place is a hidden gem! I just happened to notice it after walking back from brunch. Luckily, I hadn’t had any coffee at brunch and was able to get a ‘turtle’ latte from here. It was so good! The inside is a great place to read a book and relax. The space on the inside is limited but they have nice furniture and tables. The bonus: they have a nice patio on the backside of the building. Definitely a place worth checking out!

This coffee was so tasty. The girl was super friendly and the environment was perfect to get some work done. If you check in, they give you a dollar off, which made my 16oz café au lait with honey and almond milk and a shot of espresso less than $ 5 and better than most coffees I have had. This was all I needed to do the trick. The dude working l, Alex was super friendly and helpful with suggestions on cool things to do around the area. I like how they have info about their story nicely displayed around as well. This is what a coffee shop should be.

This place is great! I was excited to try it out when I heard about the lavender honey latte and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and places to sit down to work. Many places downtown have great coffee but lack the room to sit and work on a laptop or meet with someone. This place is a true gem! I will definitely be returning soon.

First of all my Honey Lavander Latte was so gorgeous that I was afraid to drink it; I got over it, thank goodness, because it was so yummy! The customer service is also very knowledgeable and friendly. The icing on the cake is the comfy chairs and chill ambiance.

This is a cool little coffee place nestled in ABQ’s downtown(right by Burt’s Tiki Lounge). This place surprised me at how cozy it was. It is good on all accounts and decent spot to come in when downtown Albuquerque. The décor is modern and plenty of comfy places to sit. I ordered the Crazy Monkey, and it lacked the craziness I was expecting. It is billed at having banana, caramel and cinnamon… it had a little sour taste to it?. The Baristas were ok and lacked enthusiasm. This place had us wanting a little more.

Going to write a very simple review today. I will update to a more elaborate review when I have more time to spend in the shop. This is a nice casual modern coffee shop with out the dingy hipster ness. It was a little load upon entry but the place was busy with people at all the tables. I was greeted nicely by to ladies behind the counter. They gave a quick recommendation but u just took some cans of the cold brew I saw on Instagram and went on my way. First impression definitely worth a stop! The cold brew is quite refreshing!!!

A few weeks ago, as I lay under too many wool blankets with the thermostat set way too high, I had a fever dream that led me down a meandering path toward a man wearing a red jacket and holding an electronic notepad. He held it out and said, «This is for you». This morning I wandered into The Brew, looked to my left, and saw a man in a red jacket holding an electronic notepad. He didn’t give it to me. He didn’t give it to me! What’s up with that? My soy latte was ten steps more than perfect, though, so I forgive him for being a stingy bastard.

Ever since those two NYC hunks started working there the coffee has been tasting wayyy better! Why get a latte when you can get a cortado?! The music selection has improved along with the art as well.

The Brew aka the Sweet Mocha Nectar from the Gardens of Albuquerque This place is the truth! This was the verrrrry first place I stopped at in Albuqurque. Being the Coffee Snob that I am, I still have a little room for trying new and good coffee wherever I land. I had certain pre-determinations of the Land of Enchantment, namely: –Chili –Sante Fe Hipsters –More Chili Alas, I make it in to the Brew and right away I loved the damn place. Paintings, great seating, great location, a great sunset colored backdrop that screams Southwest, and still reminds me of my own beautiful Los Angeles. Now to the coffee… I ordered a soy Red Chili Mocha. This prized confection is original and remarkably tasty to the last drop. The lady who made it must’ve not known I wasn’t from there cause whoa did she pack the powder in that 12oz cup. Red chili was everywhere, then the carefully crafted latte was put together. To make a description of said latte would be unjust. It’s simply something you have to try, if you’re so lucky to LIVE there… It’s a balance of tart, imported coffee and zest of red chili powder. The ying and yang here cannot be tamed. I would even argue the soy balances whatever subtle clash exists between the two. Also, not to be outdone, the coconut-flavored latte was as delicious and packed it’s own punch. Try both, have a seat, enjoy the moment. This coffee lover loves The Brew.

Wow, downtown ABQ, since when did you start caring about your personal appearance? It seems like just a few years back the main streets of our lil’ city hub were about as colorful as a drive to Las Cruces. Bleak, empty, sleepy, boring and lacking culture of any kind, I never found myself just hangin’ downtown, save weekday nights when I might see a concert or a show. My my, how quickly things change. All of a sudden, we got soul: Adieux, Zendo, Sister, Back Alley, Rebel Donut, Tricklock, ArtBar, Le Café Miche, all of these GREAT new businesses. And now The Brew. The Brew is a terrific counter-point to the desolate hipster scene of Zendo. You’re not going to find many self-proclaimed Important People here, the vibe is far more cozy and unassuming, and the crowd reflects it. Students, suits, and urban travelers have plenty of seats here, they make terrific use of the space, especially an adjoining wall transformed to a series of cozy pillow nooks. Staff is simply awesome, so friendly and helpful. Coffee is very, very good but you’re taking this from someone who considers himself a big time novice. For my daughter’s dollar(she attends Amy Biehl), she’d tell you the dirty chai coming out of this place is the bomb-diggity, her absolute fave in the city. Me, I’m just so stoked we have yet another fabulous business in these parts and I’m finding myself down here all of the time.
