Paisano’s Pizza

These calzones are soooooo gooooooooood. There’s so much cheese it just runs right out not all dry like those other guys. Peter is eating his now and boy oh boy are his lips smackin’! Priscilla (we call her scill) won’t get her hands off of my ham & cheese calzoney! Gosh darnit we should have ordered more! We will tomorrow!!! The food is great, but my delivery driver didn’t have a pen when I went to sign my debit receipt. I gave him $ 5 as a tip on a $ 29.86 order. I told him to put a line through the receipt. He went ahead and added a nice $ 17.45 tip to my receipt that day. I’ll never order from these crooks again.

Best delivery gyros in the landmark area. Other stuff is hit or miss but the gyros definitely stand out.

Well rounded delivery service. Gyros, steak subs, chicken parm, Alfredo, all winners for me. Not the biggest fan of the wings (coming from Buffalo) but the deep menu players do well

It’s our local pizza place of choice. No complaints. We just got half pepperoni and half cheese. Nothing spectacular but if it’s pizza night, this is your spot.

The more I order from here, the less I’m impressed. Constantly getting my order wrong, although management is always willing to correct it, its all about the hassle.

The food is good but if they mess up your carry out for delivery… don’t expect a nice person knocking at your door. Expect malice.

Pizza here is ok, but once I wanted to change what we usually order and I ordered lasagna, and It was a mistake. My lasagna was really bad, but menager apologize and sent me a gift card and that was a really nice. In the future I will still order from them but I will skip lasagna.

Excellent pizza that was made hot and fresh when I stopped by for lunch. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. The seating is small but there is seating outside. That didn’t take away from the great food made there. I’ll be back for more!

I was new to the area and looking for a decent pizza place and found Paisano’s. The thin crust pizza is no extra charge and it’s delicious. I’ve ordered from here a couple times now and have been happy with the service and pizza.

Let’s me start off by saying that my family and I always used to order from this Paisano’s location.
My issue today was that I ordered a large order and did not receive all of the items. Upon matching the costs with the items received, I was in fact missing an entrée.
When I called to inform them of the missed item, the woman that answered the phone told me that she would have to check with the manager to see if she could send that item. After waiting on hold for a few minutes, she came back and said «they said that they can’t do that» and that I «should ask for them to repeat the order or listen better.»
Well…don’t worry, there will not be a next time. I hope the delivery driver enjoys his unusually large tip and that if you’re reading this that you elect a different place to eat.
Paisano’s clearly doesn’t care about their patron satisfaction.

As a native New Yorker, I am picky about my pizza. I first tried Paisano’s when friends moved down here to Springfield; loved it. When I moved down, I was happy to find this one in Alexandria.
Delivery staff is always prompt, and very nice– and appreciative of tips (one guy was shocked that I added a tip– he said most people don’t… that ain’t right), and if you go pick it up, the ppl at the counter are always nice, funny… and bring your order to you. It’s very tiny, but there is also seating outside.
As for the food… delicious!!! Even though the regular pizzas are thicker than what you normally get in NYC, they’re quite tasty. I only tried the «thin crust» once and it was a bit dry, brittle (hoping it was just a fluke). We’ve tried the salads (huge, filling), some pastas, cheesesteak/​chicken subs, double cheeseburger burger and fries, and the gyros (lamb, or chicken) are awesome — the gyro platter with fries is good to nibble on if you’re having a pig-​out Netflix binge day, LoL. Also love that you can order online and save past orders. They also have coupons and deals online.
Desserts: the plain cheesecake is no Junior’s (world-​famous; in Brooklyn, NY) but it’s just right for a little sweet tooth craving (I don’t get the strawberry topping one b/​c it’s not fresh strawberries. it’s strawberry goop with a couple of strawberry pieces… maybe something out of a can, probably with HFCS [high fructose corn syrup]), and I tried the tiramisu once but it was soggy, couldn’t finish it.
I don’t normally drink soda [again, all the HFCS crap], but they have root beer :-D which I get as a treat sometimes.
Absolutely love them, highly recommend. Am just glad my apt complex has a 24-​hr gym. ;-)

I found Paisano’s on Unilocal while I was out of town at my brother’s house over the weekend. My friend and I just wanted a good pizza, some garlic knots and MOST importantly: 20 oz Diet Cokes :) And that’s exactly what we got, in time, at a good price. Everything was very good and we were totally satisfied :)

Incredibly kind, fun, and accommodating customer service. No matter how unsure or annoying I was on the phone they patiently answered all my questions, shared suggestions, and politely put me on hold when necessary. In the end I’ve gotten wonderful customer service each time with the right order and fast delivery. After 5 perfect experiences with paisanos we are now full time fans. No reason to order from anywhere else in the area

This review is about 5 months late, but as I am sitting here considering ordering pizza, I find myself sticking to the vow I made back on that day, to never order from here again. I’ve even tried ordering from a different store (which I swear is geographically closer than this one) but they say I have to order from this one.
So here’s the thing. I actually think the food was solid and the price/​value was really good here. This was our go to for a long time. But on that NOV/​DEC ish day, I ordered and was told: «Ok, see you in about 40 minutes»
After an hour and some change, I called back, and said «Yeah, they said it would be about 40 minutes and I just want to make sure it’s still coming.» Not being rude, just doublechecking it was still coming. This turned into a like 15 minute ordeal of «What?! Who told you that it would only be 40 minutes?!» I’m like: «I don’t care about that, I just want to know if it is still coming» Eventually the manager gets on the phone and is like, «yeah, that was me you talked to and I DEFINITELY wouldn’t have/didn’t say it would only be 40 minutes.»
I cancelled the order and haven’t ordered since. Like how hard is it to answer the question and move on instead of going out of your way to argue with a customer over and over (incorrectly mind you, they def said 40 minutes)
Unfortunate, because we used to order from there at LEAST once or twice a month prior to this.

Went on 4÷4÷15 order the all meat thin crust pizza and the garlic knots.
First Impressions,
–menu is clear.
–kitchen looks clean even when you look at the floor
— the front of the house is in constant communication with the back and the back is constant also.
— quality control is present.
— tables are not clean, I had to clean my own. They should pay attention to this.
Food,
All meat pizza; flavors on point, good distribution of ingredients, underneath the pizza have the right caramelized color and is crunchy. On the top more greasy that expected, use napkins on the top to absorb the grease. I took some home, when reheated it will not go soggy (30 seconds 5 – 6 power). This is only a one time, perhaps the next time will be different. Was good.
Garlic knots; they are good BUT to greasy have to use napkins to absorb the oil. The chunky sauce is amazing.
This review is ONLY for the food NO the management.
***Yelpers be sure you don’t say ANYTHING how this place look or how the food is to any of the workers, the manager will send a worker after you with his bussiness card and again in the parking lot to ask you for yours… Who does that??? I was there for my meal. (30 minutes), why he can’t come and introduce himself?
I give them 3.5 due to the extra grease/​oil and tables not been clean.
If I include the latest as part, the score it will be 2.5 due to the overall eating experience. Hopefully this is an isolated incident.

Order it today and you MIGHT get it by tomorrow. I ordered a pizza and appetizer. It took so long to be delivered, when the delivery person finally knocked on my door I realized I had forgotten I even ordered.
The pizza was mediocre, knots were great!

This pizza place has so many pizza options at very reasonable prices. Not only that they include a free side salad with any sub that you order. Aside from the wonderful pizza, I really enjoy the garlic knots, even though they are probably not the healthiest choice! What I think makes the pizza great is the extra sauce which is more like the New York style pizza.
We live in Alexandria, and have had consistently excellent delivery every time. So far it’s been a really good experience and the pizza is definitely the best in town. I can’t wait to order more pizza!

I’m happy to finally find a pizza chain location where I can actually eat. I’m highly sensitive to MSG so either they use a little or none at all, unlike the other chains that exists. We’ve had it delivered two times and it came promptly. We love thin crust with pepperoni, the crust is flaky and crunchy. The pepperoni isn’t too salty, it’s all around really good. The delivery guys are all wonderful. Last week we swim by to pick up and the people inside the place are super sweet and attentive. It warmed my heart and encouraged me to write a review. I hope they don’t decide to start slacking and use cheaper ingredients to keep the same prices. To keep your customers keep the ingredients quality the same but charge a little extra fans of the food will follow. This is what happened to our former favorite Z pizza.
In summary we have gotten only thin crust with mushroom and pepperoni and pineapple and pepperoni (don’t knock it until you try it) we order online which gives a deal. We ordered the garlic knots and we didn’t think they were that amazing. We tried Paisano’s at Woodbridge and omg it wasn’t that good and I blew up line a puffer fish (too much MSG).

I ordered the Pepperoni Stromboli tonight which is described to have only pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. When I received my order, I signed the check, tipped, and thanked the delivery guy.
Once I shut the door, I immediately checked my order to make sure it was correct due to the previous time I ordered. Which you’ll see why below.
I noticed some sausage inside of the Stromboli, which I’m content with.
Upon further observation, I noticed some onion and green pepper. Not okay with me.
I managed to catch the delivery guy before he left and politely told him about the mistake. He quickly apologized and called Paisano’s and told the woman who answered the phone about the mistake.
She stated that they could either make a new Stromboli and have it delivered, or they could give me store credit for next time (which there most likely will not be). I was pretty hungry, so I stated «have them make a new one and re-​deliver it, please.» The delivery guy told them of my decision. I thanked the delivery guy and he went on his way.
I called into the store shortly thereafter and asked to speak to a manager.
I spoke with a manager and informed her of the mistake and politely told her that I would like her to make certain my order is completed correctly. I also informed her of a previous time that I ordered the Pepperoni Stromboli and I received it with ricotta cheese, which I absolutely do not like (at least not when they pack it with half a gallon of ricotta like they did). When I spoke to the manager about the mistake, she seemed agitated and annoyed with my minor complaint. I remained polite and informed her I was just calling in to make sure that my order is completed correctly so that we wouldn’t have another issue.
I originally called and ordered at 1838 hours (6:38pm) and was given an ETA of 40 minutes.
This happened around 1926 hours (7:26pm) so the new order was placed at approximately 1932 hours (7:32pm).
I received my new order at 2008 hours (8:08pm).
My order was correct this time.
Now, I think Paisano’s makes pretty good food for a delivery restaurant– that is, when they make the correct order.
I don’t think I’ll be ordering from this location in the future.
