Theres a reason for this ridiculously low rating. Just don’t bother!

Knock off Portillos with about 1⁄10th the quality, and that is being generous. Cashiers and drive thru workers are horrible, no, beyond horrible. Very nasty and rude. Told the owner how awful his staff was and he could care less. Go to the real Portillo’s, not this nasty knock off with the nastier staff.

Man, people are tough on this place. I think the problem is that Portillo’s is so good that everything else pales in comparison. But if Portillo’s is a 5 star, than Fradillo’s is the poor mans version and ranks in at a solid 4 star. And honestly, if you haven’t eaten there lately, they have drastically improved their food. It is definitely worth checking out again.

Bland. Weak chicken sandwich, classic frozen fries taste and even watered down Coke taste. First visit, last visit. McDonalds much better and half the price

My daughter and I stopped in here last night after a dance at her school. I used to come here quite a bit, but last night reminded me why I don’t. We came in around 8:15pm and the place was deserted… literally no customers in the dining room. The first thing we see are two young kids(assuming these were employees children) chucking balls off the walls and running around while an old woman was mopping. This should have been enough to make us leave but my daughter really wanted to eat here. After weaving through the kids playing ball in the dining area, we made our way to the register only to find two employees sitting there with their heads buried in their cell phones… we stood there a good two minutes and they had no clue that we were there. Finally, someone came out from the kitchen area and helped us as the other two employees disappeared. We placed our order and sat at the bar area waiting for our food. As we sat, the boys continued with their ball game and running around the restaurant with nobody telling them to stop. They then proceeded to drill me in the leg with their somewhat hard ball… no apology or anything. The food was actually still pretty good but I don’t think that we we ever go back. I wonder if the owner is aware what goes on when he is not there?!

Beware! I took my boys here in November. At 7:00pm, we were the only people in the place. The food was okay, but then the bad part… This month, when reviewing my credit card statement, I noticed three additional, mysterious charges from Fradillo’s, each for $ 10 even. I had never stepped foot in there after our visit. I immediately called the bank, and the security department stated that it looked like fraud. The charges were reversed, but I had to cancel my card and get a new one as well. There is either a criminal employee at this restaurant or something even worse at the company level.

Lets be honest, their competition is portillos. And I was really hoping it would be up there with them. I don’t think they are. I ordered the double char combo. The fries were great! All crispy and beautiful. The burger was eatable. I couldn’t help compare it to portillos. And it couldn’t measure up. Now, I would go back. I would try other menu items. Because the food wasn’t bad. The prices were very reasonable. The real test will be their ribs.

Visiting from out of state visiting family. A family member suggested going here. The man at the register was very friendly and helpful. When one of kids wanted bacon and cheese on her hot dog he said«Sure, no problem. Whatever you want.» With a big smile. Having worked retail for many years myself, you can tell this gentleman was sincere in his attitude and demeanor toward his customers. The food was ready in just a few minutes(party of 7). Food ordered included hot dogs, meatball sub, Italian beef sandwich, kids combo, spaghetti, cheese fries and onion rings. All were great. They even included a couple extra toys for the kids that didn’t order a kids combo meal. The service was excellent and the food tasty. Not being a Chicago local, some of the negative reviews come across to me as written by the competition. I hope that isn’t the case as that would be a poor way to conduct your business. All I can say is that I have added this restaurant to my address book so I have it noted for the next time we visit the Chicagoland area. It is well worth a visit.

I love this place! They have the best chopped salads. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. It’s a great place to bring the whole family!

I don’t understand some of these reviews. Fradillo’s has one of the best Combos in the Chicagoland area. I only come out to Algonquin one every couple of months and I always look forward to coming here. BTW, I eat a Combo at least once a week all around the city. There are none better than this one.

Unfortunately, I have to select at least 1 star-Yelp should have 5 bombs added so people can give an accurate review. That said, we went here last night for something a little different from the typical fast food fare… different we definitely got!!! The rudest man(jerk) was at the register and when we changed our mind on a value meals because drinks weren’t really necessary the Mr Hyde appeared… making rude comments and grunts because we should know what we want and so on… fyi there was no one else in line and only 1 other lady there eating… staff there are also rude. Ordered a gyro, chicken gyro, chicken tenders(Tyson) and mozzarella sticks…$ 30!!! WHAT??? And I’m sorry but I thought onions & tomatoes(like the menu said) came with the gyros? Nope just pita bread and some meat. IF I want rude service, lack luster food and to be overcharged I will go back. Since I DONOT want any of that I will stay far away from this place. I believe I can get better food, better service and a better value at Sam’s Club or Costco!

Not good. Should of checked the reviews before coming here. And it smells sooooo bad before walking in. Not sure if it smells inside the restaurant or that awful smell was just stuck in my nose from the outside. I actually started laughing while writing this review because I saw that someone else had commented on the smell! Haha don’t know why the f*** I kept going either!!!

Hey what’s up with the great review that I just read about this place that was obviously put on there by the restaurant owner giving himself five stars I thought that was not allowed on this site anyway here’s a real review from a customer and not an owner is slightly more accurate LOL This place sucks I ordered a Polish sausage it was tiny it didn’t even fill the bun I called up to complain instead of making it right the guy told me we never problems with our Polish sausage and sell 300 of them a Day they don’t even have 300 customers a day who is he trying to kid you want customers put the food out correctly if you’re going to make the sandwiches tiny to maximize your profits watch your customers go anywhere else in the area but your place it’s a wonder how you keep your doors open I figured you’d be boarded up an out of business along time ago and if you think we didn’t figure out that you rated yourself five stars with the most obvious bullshit review I’ve ever seen you must think your customers are stupid we are not so read peters review talking about devanco Foods being there supplier and how they’re located in the shopping mecca give me a break this is the owner giving himself five stars that is not what Unilocal is set up for to be rated by the owners of the restaurants is reviews of fraud just like his food is

Decent gyros, good fries. The only hiccup was that I ordered a combo meal and the guy at the order area forgot to give me a cup. That was quickly corrected at the pickup area though. I’d go back again if nearby(I was at the tire place and ate lunch there to kill some waiting time), but it’s not the kind of place I would seek out.

Had to get a tire fixed at discount tire so I decided to stop in here and try it out. Got the cheesy beef at the suggestion of the lady at the counter, it was ok. Also got some cheese fries, the fries tasted a but of the oil so I’m guessing the frier isn’t hot enough. All of this didn’t make for a 2 star review. What did make for the 2 stars was the fact that I was sitting watching a show on one of their tv’s which was nice. Then this boy in a bulls hat changes the channel to sportscenter while I’m watching the show. Didn’t ask me, didn’t even look at me, just does it and then goes back to «working». I would have gotten his name but no one wears name tags.

Everything about this place screams, come inside, have a good meal at a fun location… not so much. The counter people are friendly and quick but that’s where it ends. First off, when I walked in, it had a horrible smell. Not sure if there was sewer work going on nearby but it hit me like a brick as I walked in. Why the **** did I keep going? Hot dog was average at best, with the buns being a tad bit on the hard side… I hate that! The fries were better than average and tried mozzarella sticks that were frozen and old. Sorry guys, but if you’re going to spend more on neon lighting that the quality of your food, I won’t be coming back.

Was excited to try their Italian Beef. Ordered it to go with mozzarella and giardinara on the side to go… I was given basically a tub of oil with a few chunks of giardinara along with extremely dry beef and a roll that would double as a hockey puck. Stick to Mr. A’s in Crystal Lake or Portillo’s to satisfy your Italian Beef cravings!

The food was pretty good. It’s hard to screw up a pizza puff though, the hot dog was enjoyable as well. My wife’s shake seemed pretty massive and she enjoyed it. Sadly the high light of this place was the location, it was great being able to grab a bite to eat while the wife and I had our cars worked on.

Fradillio’s is another locally owned«hot dog centric» food establishment in the far northwestern ‘burbs of Chicago. Featuring the best in local suppliers, Fradillio’s offers hot dogs and polish sausage from Vienna Beef, and Italian Beef from local favorite supplier Devanco. I went with a bacon cheeseburger, cooked on the charbroiler, with a great bun, and it was delish. Crinkle cut fries are on tap, served with just the right crispiness and lightly salted. Fradillio’s offers a complete catering service, where you can feed a family or a crowd; fill up about 30 persons with 5 pounds of Italian beef, a pan of mostaccioli, a pan of Italian sausage, a large bowl of house salad, and 10 loaves of French bread for $ 175. Many other options and sizes available, including wings, ribs, hot dogs, and the like. Fradillio’s is located at the corner of Highway 62(Algonquin Road) and Randall Road, at the north end of the Randall Road shopping ‘mecca’.
