New location at a nail salon in San Gabriel but same experience as the Alhambra studio, just more ‘shabby-​chic’ & less private. Phoebe is irreplaceable in my book!

Had to return for a facial and back treatment, my skin feel so much more smoother now. Service is both professional and friendly.

This is a cute little shop located in a pretty small plaza on the corner of Marguerita St and Valley. It can be a little difficult to spot/​find on the first try especially if you’re not familiar with the area. There’s only one entrance which faces toward the back, and that’s also where the parking lot is. It’s a small private lot, but since it’s not a huge, busy plaza, parking isn’t difficult.
Upon entering, I was greeted right away by Phoebe, the owner, she was extremely patient and helpful in guiding me with where to put my belongings and helping to get me comfortable and situated.
I had the classic facial which included a nice, relaxing facial massage before and after the entire procedure. She was very professional yet casual enough where you wouldn’t feel uncomfortable with having some stranger touching your face. Personally, I’m a chatterbox most of the time and she’s very good with keeping up a conversation if you so choose to have one! If not, she’s find with that, too. All she really cares about is your relaxation and comfort while you are in her care. The facial itself lasts about 90 minutes and I always leave feeling refreshed and more than satisfied! Thanks to Phoebe, it’s 5 stars all the way!

This is my first Unilocal review and I am happy to write my first review for this facial shop. Came here for a facial treatment am set brow shaping, because of my freckle the esthetician suggested me to try the micro-​dermabration facial treatment. (It’s suppose to show result in 6 treatments and this is my first time)
I have to say I love how the esthetician Phoebe tried to extracted out all the black heads on my nose and lips area, and also pimples on my face without time the facial time, unlike some of the facial shop always leave some behind because the time.
Eye brow shaping is as good as the facial. This place defiantly will become my regular facial shop.

Phoebe is the best! What I love most is that after the facial my face is not all red and blotchy like other places that I went to.

This review is for a body wrap that I recently got here. When I first arrived here, I noticed that it felt more like I was invading someone’s house rather than arriving at a place of business. The owner’s dog was jumping on me and barking. The owner’s mom was less than professional with her feet on the table while playing a game on the computer. I just felt very uncomfortable, but I really needed my wrap done for my trip to Vegas.
Phoebe claims that the wraps helps people lose 1 – 5 lbs of fat. I don’t think she knows what she is talking about. With wraps, you’re really losing water weight and nothing else. She uses a machine that tells you how much body fat, how much you weigh, etc. She uses that machine before and after you do the body wrap to provide an indication of how much water weight you have loss. With her promise of 1 – 5 lbs of «fat» loss, I was eager to go through with the procedure. However, I was sorely disappointed when I had only loss .4 lbs of water weight. She even had the audacity to insult me and say that my metabolism is very slow and that I need to exercise more in order for her wrap to be more effective. If I did exercise, why the heck would I need this body wrap to help me lose excess water weight? Duh! Overall, I don’t think I would come here again. I came here and paid $ 50 to lose .4 lbs of weight. That’s not even 1 lb! They are unprofessional and the setup in this place is very strange.

First time coming here to get my eyebrows done for the first time. Phoebe was really nice and patient with me. Tweezing did not hurt :)

I love Phoebe! I went to her for eyebrow shaping. She’s so good at it. I’m definitely coming back. She just uses a tweezer but it doesn’t hurt at all. Thanks to Unilocal for recommending her. She charges 13 dollars for it and I gave her $ 2 in tip. There’s a huge parking space behind the building. At first, I got a little lost thinking the entrance was in the front but it’s not. It’s in the back. Phoebe also has a cute dog name Happy hanging around on the weekends. This means I can bring my dog along too. I live in Los Angeles but I drove to Alhambra for Phoebe. She’s really awesome so give her a try. In the past, I did eyebrow threading but I have switched back to tweezers now. I’m so happy with how my eyebrows look. Phoebe gave my eyebrows an arch and thinned it out like I asked her to. The only thing weird was that I was in a room with somebody else getting a body treatment. The reason this happen was because I made an appointment for Saturday but then changed it to Sunday. I guess Phoebe forgot to change it and I was double book with another client. It ended fine since Phoebe quickly did my eyebrows but she paid meticulous attention to my eyebrows. She cares about her work. I am 100% satisfied. It makes me feel pretty when a pretty person works on me. Hehheehe.

Phoebe is a jack of all trades. She does eyebrow shaping, facials, and even does Real Estate on the side. She is the only one I trust with my eyebrows, and I have been visiting her loyally for over a year. She shapes eyebrows according to your face shape, and does a nice natural look. My mommy comes here to get her brows too and loves Phoebe! :)
This specific store has a variety of products and services. On the product side, they carry all the Asian beauty/​diet goodies– Japanese weight loss cookies, the coveted Korean BB Cream, and other Asian weight loss supplements.
On the service side, they have different Korean weight loss machines, detox body wrap, etc. She also does facials, waxing, eye lash perms, etc. you get the idea.
I would definitely recommend coming here for beauty services, Phoebe is such a sweetie! It’s new, clean, sanitary, etc. This store is co-​owned by Phoebe and her mom, and they speak Mandarin, however if you’re English only, ask for Phoebe.
