Good food lousy service the people taking the orders are so rude they glare at you and if you smile at them and say thank you they just keep glaring. I feel uncomfortable going to this location. The staff could of changed though because I haven’t been there in months.

Friendly staff every time I come in. Great place to stop and grab a quick meal. Love their chicken bowls!

I liked the food, but every time I go now the person behind the counter either doesnt know how to take an order or gives attitude like they dont want to take an order. Customer service has taken a nose dive last 3 months and I’m done with them. Would not recommend. Go to a different location if you can, this place sucks.

Just came here to grab a mini bowl, she accidentally over charged me and when I asked she got loud and frustrated with me. Then she realized her mistake she still held an rude attitude. Won’t be back. I was very polite to her even after she yelled at me. Bye Felicia.

I used to love this location but not anymore. I’m not sure what’s going on with this place. The portion sizes are now half the size they were a year ago. The chicken is always crazy dry and if you order chicken breast only… be prepared for them to tell you they ran out. I’m done giving this place chances. I’ll be trying other locations.

First: fix your business in google search: it shows the wrong phone number and wrong hours.
Second; younger woman working the counter Saturday afternoon needs training– doesn’t know the menu and so I asked for a mini rob bowl instead of telling me you don’t make that, charged me the same as a rib plate. $ 9 for a mini bowl:(

almost $ 7 for a bowl that has dry chicken. the other location on Moulton is cheaper and fresher.

I will never go back! Went at noon so I figured it would be fresh and that wasn’t the case! Dried out old chicken. Employees are clueless!

Solid lunch spot to get a teriyaki and veggie bowl. They also have a customer loyalty program where your tenth bowl is free. Cleaner alternative to fast food joints.

Tried it for the first time today. Why wouldn’t you put the green onions on the food like it shows in your menu pictures? Disappointed that the staff didn’t direct me to where the green onions were when I asked, instead they told me the «onions are on the side». To most that means you were given onions in a separate container. Glad this place is not in Norcal where I live.

I’ve avoid flame broiler for a long time because of how often I use to frequent this restaurant during high school.
The flame broiler has the perfect combination of carbs, protein, and fats for the best price. The chicken and beef are always delightfully marinated and cooked to perfection — not a dried out, chewy-​mess.
For $ 18 for 2 people you can fuel your body up with the nutrients it needs, without all the excess calories and transfats at other locations. It’s now my go-​to for a cheap lunch/​dinner in a hurry.

I’ve been craving Flame Broiler for a while now so you can imagine my disappointment when I dug into my bowl and realized the meat AND rice was dry. I guess it all depends on the luck of the draw: Do you get there when they just made a fresh batch OR if you arrive and get stuck with the old dry stuff.
Guess I’ll need to find a place that makes my food fresh when I order it– not a place that precooks everything to avoid a long lunch line.

I usually look at reviews on Unilocal before visiting a new restaurant, but boy am I glad that I didn’t this time. I started coming here around June 2014, probably have been coming here two or three times a month and have been 100% satisfied with the food, service, cleanliness of the restaurant and price for the quantity of relatively healthy fast food alternative. I’m not sure if the owner or manager saw the negative reviews and made a correction before I started coming, but after probably a dozen visits, I’ve never had a single complaint and this is coming from people who travel to Laguna Beach or Newport Beach to get good sushi because we can’t find any around here. if you haven’t been here before, give it a try on your own and if you have been here before and had a bad experience, give it another try.

Flame broiler is always a hit or miss for me… It’s a teriyaki bowl. Your expectations should never be really high. You know what you’re getting… The only thing that makes me give this place 3 stars is they quality of meat they serve… If they are completely ok with serving their customers dry, burnt, gristle-​ly chicken they do not deserve 5 stars… With my experience 4 out of 5 times going there I can expect the meat to be bad…

The beef is dryer than a popcorn fart. Seriously how can you serve that? Chicken was only a bit less dry but not by much.
I didn’t think you could mess up a teriyaki bowl but this place has figured out how to do it.

Flame broiler is one of those places you go to when you want something kinda quick that wont kill you as slowly. This most recent visit I just got a chicken bowl with veggies. The staff was nice and friendly but my food was kinda skimped on I didn’t get much chicken and the veggies I got definitely weren’t cooked the carrots I had were so hard their cheap little plastic fork was about to break all 3 times I tried to pick one up! The chicken was cooked alright and overall it tasted good but it wasn’t worth the price I payed I pretty much just got a bowl of rice with a few veggies and scraps of chicken I’ve had better at different locations in the area doubt ill be returning to this location anytime soon! Also if you visit flame broiler be sure to look in your mail box they often mail out coupons that has buy one get the second half off or something like that!

Terrible service and generally bad attitudes from the staff. With so many Flame Broilers around, no need to visit this one anymore. Thanks but no thanks.
To the restauranteur — You might want to check the hours posted on your door and let your staff know what they are. Open at 10 means that at 11:19 am, the staff don’t tell people the place is closed and then lock the doors. I really wish I recorded it all on video to capture the look on would-​be customers faces.

The brown rice is good, the beef is good but it would be preferred if they used cabbage instead of broccoli, carrots etc.
PS – Unless you are a Samoan linebacker on a college football team… veto the «double meat». I ordered it and had enough for two meals. It seriously wasn’t a necessary expense…

Finally! A Flame Broiler near my work! Come here for an easy, healthy, quick lunch. I’m a huge fan of flame broiler, don’t ask me why, but I really like the meat/​rice combo… it must be the Filipino side of me.
They have all sorts of rice bowl combos you can choose from… chicken, beef, veggie, white rice, brown rice, you name it. I personally like to feed myself for lunch and dinner, so I usually get a chicken bowl with brown rice with a side of extra chicken. It usually lasts me through dinner which is nice so I don’t have to cook when I get home.
Not all Flame Broilers are created equal, but I really like the flavor they get in their chicken and it tastes more fresh then some other FBs I’ve been to.
