I went here purely for the drive-through since I changed my mind last minute on wanting one of their Teddy Bear latte’s. The drink wasn’t as fantastic as I’ve received at their Michigan Ave location. Pretty meh, which was disappointing considering how much the other time I had it at the other location was so wonderful. The service wasn’t much to write home about, but it was adequate enough for a drive through. I’ll skip this location and stay with the Michigan Ave one or just go to the Starbucks across the street.

Today marks the day that I will purposely drive to another biggby or get Starbucks. I am beyond dissatisfied with this location. The drinks taste horrible and are not made correctly. I went out of my way to get biggby today about 10 minutes ago. When the girl handed me my drink, I knew it was light in weight, but I can’t drink things that are too hot so I waited. I opened the lid when I got home and there was A TON of foam. My drink is half foam. This was my last attempt at supporting this biggby location. I can’t waste my money on hot drinks that are cold, foul tasting, or not full. Please do not waste your time. Go to Starbucks across the street. You will be much happier that you spent an extra 2 minutes of your time walking inside.

My sister took me here to get another Butter Bear. She is addicted. Last time, we went thru drive-thru and it was okay. I’m still not convinced that this is the nectar of the gods, so today she decided to take me inside for the whole experience. The store is narrow and long. Some seating is in front the but the rest is in back. Lots of four tops in the usual earth tone/dark wood/Starbucks mode. Next door is a Susie Q’s, an ice cream parlor that has a pass-thru to the Biggby’s. It’s open in the afternoon to early evening so it was closed. Pity. She ordered two Butter Bears, one with an extra shot of espresso. The Butter Bear is caramel and butterscotch with coffee. They also have a Teddy Bear that is caramel and chocolate and coffee, and something called the Neopolitan that sounds disgusting. Two coffees were almost $ 10, which is expensive. You can get two breakfasts at TIm Horton’s for the same price and that would include coffee. The staff forgot to mark which was which so we had to ask. Luckily, they remembered. They did their work with somber dedication. We then retired to the fireplace area that had four chairs and some magazines and an unlit fireplace. Since it was 8 degrees out, having it on would have been a nice touch. Above the fireplace were two awards banners that were curling with age announcing that the shop had opened in 2009 and the last time they did something noteworthy was 2012. I hope they take these down as they do not inspire confidence, just concern. The coffees were heavy on the sugar and light on the coffee. Okay, but not great. My sister went to the bathroom and when she came back warned me that the lights in there were on motion sensors so don’t stop and think or meditate. Just do your business. I suggest when you go you wave your hands in the air like you just don’t care every now and then, or you will be fumbling in the dark. Unless you are prone to dramatic gestures; then you will be fine! As we were leaving, my sister found the switch to the fireplace and turned it on, saying, «You should always leave a place brighter than when you entered it.»

My husband and I love this Biggby store. We’ve been going here for our Lattes and iced tea for about two years. For about the first two months or so – during weekly visits – they’d make my Latte wrong – with whipped cream – but always made me a new Latte without whip. It was getting a little frustrating. But, now they know me by sight as a person who doesn’t like whipped cream, so I don’t have any more problems. My husband enjoys the Frozen Hot Chocolate in the summer and he gets a kick out of the fact that only Biggby has them. We like the atmosphere of the place, it doesn’t have the room to attract the students who study for hours in the Allen Park Barnes & Noble café or at Allen Park Panera Bread, so the place is quiet. The store is always clean and the unisex bathroom is spotless. The fireplace is awesome in the winter time, so nice to sit near. And, though probably many people don’t give it a thought, the selection of greeting cards is quite good. When we want a card that is a little out-of-the-ordinary, we buy the cards here. The reciepients of these greeting cards just love them; they are very different from Hallmark cards. I did order a turkey bagel sandwich one morning; it was so-so, it didn’t have much taste. I would have preferred some guacamole with the turkey, or perhaps an option of spicy mustard. The brownies are awesome, very rich. I haven’t tried muffins or any other baked goods. My lattes are always balanced just right, not too strong or too weak and not too sweet for my taste. I do wish Biggy could find some business to make slightly larger coffee cup sleeves for them, I find the ones they have are too small and I can’t move my sleeve closer to the top of my cup – but that’s just me. My husband and I try to go to this Biggby at least a couple times a month, we like supporting Michigan-based businesses.

No Equal! I only really give Biggby a chance because it is a Michigan based company, especially based in my college town of East Lansing. The very first time we went into the Allen Park location, my mom asked if they had Equal sweetener. They don’t. Well, on the packaging for Equal, it states that you should ask an establishment if they would consider carrying it. My mom decided to use this tactic and her response was«maybe you could bring your own Equal». Wait — what? Why not say«Thanks for your inquiry. I’ll ask my manager.» or something like that? BUT, they’re good. I have to give it to Biggby, I have always enjoyed the taste of their beverages. The ambiance is comfortable, there is free wifi and it’s good for getting some work done, surfing the net, Unilocaling or just people watching. DO sign up for their mailing list. Biggby Bob sends out updates via email mailing list, coupons, offers & more.

I stop by this place whenever I’m back in Michigan, mainly because my dad lives off the hazelnut decaf coffee. I think it’s alright. I like my soy vanilla lattes from Starbucks much better. The ones here seem way too sweet. I need to remember to ask for less syrup next time. The prices are reasonable and the workers are friendly enough. I’ll keep coming here and reserve my Starbucks snobbiness for when I’m back in Chicago.

Love the sugar-free vanilla latte here. well priced and not too sweet. Every time I go in I am greeted and the place is clean and well-kept. Service was cheerful and prompt, so I don’t understand the negative comment. It’s a nice alternative to the large often over-priced competition, and I am happy to support a Michigan business. One day I will bring my laptop in and just hang out for a while. It doesn’t seem to attract the distracted and uptight folks that the chain coffee place does, so I like it for that reason alone. Oh, almost forgot, had a blueberry muffin, too, and it was awesome.

I’m not sure what to say. I have spent a significant period of time, living in Washington State. This is the home of Starbucks, Tully’s, Seattles best which is owned by Starbucks, and drive through coffee places every every half a mile(seriously). The service was slow, the coffee was ok by Michigan standards. mediocre by Washington standards. They had to keep asking questions, like they weren’t listening. I hate the term barrista, but the people here should not in anyway call themselves that.

A good place to enjoy drinking a cup of coffee. Relaxed atmosphere with freshly-baked treats to have with coffee or tea. Comfortable as your favorite armchair.

You know the coffee is good when you see a Starbucks worker getting her cup of mud from Biggby Coffee. I stopped by here today because it’s close to my school, and I needed a little pick me up. It was so good I had to go back a second time the same day. I just got the regular drip coffee, a decaf hazelnut. It was so smooth and flavorful, and they gave me soy milk for free, which is a plus! The place was nice and quiet, and had free wi-fi. I kind of dug the 70ish décor too. I think I’ll be stopping here on the regular to get my morning cup of ambition!
