Typical Target, they sell the same stuff as the target at southland mall and woodhaven. They have clothes stuff, toys, house items, sports stuff, electronics, beauty products and now they carry food as well. Its like shopping at Wally Mart, but with expensive price tags, snooty shoppers, and not 24hrs. None the less, the store itself is an actual breath of fresh air. It’s rather nicely done up, the shelves are very well maintained, and the associates are very helpful. It does have some really ample parking as well. Even during the busy times, we’re able to find a decent parking space. I love shopping here, don’t get me wrong, The Target experience is very pleasant. Just getting in and out of this particular Target can, and more than likely ruin your day. Only 2 roads go in and out of this Big Box Store Mall complex, one on the south end and one on the north end. With mega stores that draw massive amounts of people, like Home Depot, Meijer, Best Buy and Potbelly Sandwiches. There’s just not enough roads to enter and dip people. There’s usually some bottle necking at the exits. You can’t help but notice some people tearing their hair off the scalps. It’s quite the tear jerking experience.

Just went to Target to pick up a few things while we were staying for the week in Michigan. Nothing extraordinary about this Target just your typical good ol’ Target.

The only reason I go to this Target is because the products are better than the one near Ford Road and Southfield… otherwise I would not go to this place. First, this strip mall has to be the worst design ever — super difficult to get in and out of(ESPECIALLY during the holidays). Next, the area where you buy sports apparel is PAINFUL. I even said something to the check-out lady, and she agreed completely… but yet nothing has been done. The racks are so packed, you can’t look at a t-shirt w/o everything falling on the floor. It’s a complete mess over there. And the mess continues throughout the store — the other women’s clothes are all over the place, and the bra section is a disaster. I’ve gone in there looking for digital camera cases — very weak selection. I also was hoping for my full-fat Greek yogurt… that’s a no too. Just disappointing overall… which bums me out b/c I sure did used to love Target.

This store is always neat and tidy. Everything is organized and easy to find. The staff is helpful too. One complaint is the bathroom. The few times I’ve used them they are always dirty and smell foul and therefore the reason for the lack of one star.

Dis Target is dope! Nice and big, great selection, super clean and organized, and it’s a newer build out which means there’s plenty of space for the grocery section(vs. shoe horning it into the store like they do at most locations). Whenever I’m on my way home from Detroit or Dearborn I stop by here because they have a ton of stock. More than many of the other stores in the area. Which means – more stuff for me! Housewares, clothes, groceries, and a Starbucks coffee on my way in/out. Probably my fave along with Livonia(Plymouth/Middlebelt) and the one closest to me in Ypsi. Apparently I have very strong feelings about Targets, ok? That Threshold gets me every time. But seriously. It’s the best.

Target is my mom-therapy; my late-night-after-the-kid-is-in-bed-getaway on any given evening relaxation spot. But not all Targets are the same. This is an exceptional one, which prompted a post. This is a very clean and easy to navigate store, with friendly staff. When I have my kid with me, there’s a family bathroom and it’s saved a lot of difficulty when pitstops are needed. Also, really like that it’s near a ton of other stores and restaurants, and very easily accessible from the freeways. A Starbucks with windows that look out to the parking lot, allows one to have a nice little break. Hours are great too. See you soon, Fairlane Green Target. Real soon.

Extremely helpful staff, just lacking in variety in some sections compared to other Targets.

This Target has turned into a Fresh Target, which is just one step away from being a SuperTarget. I seriously can’t hide my excitement! Target updated its grocery section to include many more kitchen essentials, as well as added a fresh food aisle. This aisle includes bakery bread, fresh fruits and veggies(sold in ones, not by the pound), fresh meats(sold by the package, not the weight) and a huge selection of cheese and other dairy. Ever since Jacob and I did our Shop Local challenge in January, we’ve been getting our fresh meats and deli meats from Westborn, but it’s nice to know the option to purchase meats from Target is there. I’d be over the moon if they had a fresh deli counter, because that’s all they’re missing. If you haven’t been to this Target in a few months, make a visit to check out their new grocery section. I was impressed by how many new products they brought in!

They have recently remodeled. Really nice inside. They are greatly expanding their grocery area.

I love Target. I really care for this Target. It’s close to me, so it’s my go-to Target. I just had the worst experience, however, at this Target on Saturday afternoon. On the way to check out, I was headed to one of those 2nd row cashiers… on the way, though, a young man stopped at one of the 1st registers as I walked past it and said he could take me there. Awesome. Little did I know, though, that he was completely clueless on the register or how to ask for help when needed. Apparently, his scan gun didn’t work. Apparently, that was supposed to be MY problem. Um, no. Okay, first, let me go back a bit. He rang up a few items and put them in the plastic Target bags. I said oh, wait! I have my recyclable bags — he said«so what do you want me to do?» I say«take the items out of those bags and put them in this one». *blank stare* He then asks what I have against the plastic bags. *shock face* I brought in my Target recyclable bag that THEYSELLANDPROMOTEFORGREENERLIVING and this kid is questioning why I prefer that bag over the plastic. Not to mentiom, I brought the bag in for a reason. Just do your job and take those 3 items out of the plastic one and put them in the one I brought in. THEN, dude gets all slow and out of sorts because his scan gun doesn’t work and he can’t scan the discount sticker for my bag. That’s his main point — that’s why he was reluctant in having me use my recyclable bag. Because you don’t know how to add the 5 cent discount? Really? He looks at me and says his gun doesn’t work. I say, «well then you need to find somebody who can help. Do you want me to go get somebody?» He says yes. Wtf? So, I go get another associate who comes down and tells him the code to key in.(DUH), but wait — there’s more. I have a big bucket, like a storage bucket type of thing that’s on sale. It’s too big to slide across the flat scanner, so it needs the scanning gun. He then falls stupid on how it’s going to get rung up. He’s thisclose to suggesting that I leave it off my order. Like I’m supposed to leave it behind because he can’t ring it up. I’ve had it with this dude. The lady helping him suggested that we move to another register. We then take our items, ourselves, over to the next register. including the ones he already has bagged. We get there and he says«did you get all your stuff?». Well damn, apparently YOU didn’t, so yes, I did. I’ve SO had it with this kid. My mom had an order of her own. I insisted she go to another lane so we didn’t have to deal with this kid any longer. People were in and out of line faster than he rang up a single item. My nerves and patience are at this point in the red. Coupons — I had several coupons that were self explanatory and scanned easily. I had one coupon in which he had to type in the dollar value of the item(s). When I purchased a container of cat litter, I got 2 cat food cans for free. He needed to know the price of the cat food. So, he asks me. Sigh. His screen is asking for the dollar amount, but what he needed to do is go back to the list of items and scroll up or down for the cat food. But he asks me. I’m not wearing a Target shirt. I didn’t notice the price. The lady helping him had gone on to do something else, but noticed we were still putzing along, so she came back and helped him with that. I let her know it was good for TWO cans of food. The genius young man says«but it’s only one coupon». the lady took care of the 2 cans, but this young man did not need to be on a register at all. They had to have pulled him from stocking the back. He had NO knowledge of what he was doing, NO knowledge of how to handle customers and NO initiative to seek help when help was needed. I felt like I was at a U-Scan because I felt like I did most of the work. I left there so irritated. So irritated that I called the store, while in the car. I asked to speak to a manager and calmly expressed my discontent with my vist. I got an apology for the service. Will this guy be retrained? Who knows. Will this guy be spoken to or addressed? Who knows. This visit left such a bad taste in my mouth. But guess what. Next week, I’ll be Targeting again. Maybe I’ll think to go to the Taylor location to put this one on punishment. LOL. Maybe I’ll end up on the Hill to shop and stop into this one. Who knows. But if I see the young man with NO nametag and a maroon shirt(not even red), I will steer clear.

This is my favorite target in the detroit area. it’s big, spacey, bright and clean. This particular location seem to have more things in stock than most targets. Their staff are really nice. I left one of the bags at the cash registers and the cashier ran out of the store to hand it to me. It was not the first time I left something at the cash register. But it was the first time somebody ran out of their store to hand it right back to me.

Whatever, it’s a Target. It’s got stuff you need. It’s out of the way. It feels crappy inside. But it’s cheap. There’s a PIzza Hut and a Starbucks inside… why? Gross. I want to hate it, but I’m always returning. It just has stuff I need. And it’s cheap.
