So glad to find Venezuelan food closer to home! We ordered WAY too much(each had an arepa, an empanada de pabellon, and couldn’t resist ordering tequeños too!) and the price was far lower than anticipated. The tequeños and arepas were wonderful, and we couldn’t eat the empanadas so we took them home. Even not as fresh for breakfast they were great. Cannot wait to come back for a cachapa If you don’t know what any of this is, just go and try it all! You won’t be sorry.

First time in Arepa and the food was very good. Clean restaurant and good service. My wife gave it a 4 rating as well. Good food overall. I recommended.

This place has the best pork I think I’ve ever had. I got a dinner plate, which came with a salad and rice & beans. Nothing crazy, there. The pork, though. My goodness. And the sauces it came with. Holy cow, I want to go back ASAP. I got my food to go, but the interior is nice and clean, and the owner is the sweetest guy. Highly recommended! Check them out for sure!

Came for coffee on Memorial day. Anything but Starbucks. Had the Venezuelan breakfast. Black beans, shredded beef, scrambled eggs and a flat bread. Coffee was well done. The breakfast was simple good food. Plated well. Quiet place. They have wifi.

Great food, friendly service. We were in the mood for something different and my husband and I decided to try this place out. It had many great reviews on Unilocal. We tried the patacones dish, he had the sweet plantains and I had the other one. Great tasting. The good came out quickly and tasted fresh. For dessert they did not have a lot of options but we decided to try the tequeños, which is more of a side dish.(Fried cheese and guava paste-looked like mini egg rolls). They were delicious. We will definitely come back again.

Found this place on Unilocal, went there, ordered and ate my food all without knowing quite exactly what it was. If you’re like me and don’t know what the heck Latin food exactly is, Arepas are made from stone ground corn, and they are basically pitas but with a completely different texture. The taste is mildly sweet, and the outside is crispy with the inside soft(but not mushy). I got Arepas with shredded chicken and avocado. NOTE: the avocado/mayo salad type spread they have is made each morning and they were confused when i asked for just avocado and no mayo(the mayo isn’t homemade or anything, when I asked what was in it the lady said it was just Hellman’s). Anyways, they had to ring it up differently or something but they can do it. And it was delish, they gave me a ton of avocado pieces.

Amazing food. We had a traditional Arepa, Pabelon, 2 different Empanadas(Cheese and Chicken). 2 favorites were the Arepa and the Pabelon(Shredded Beef, Black Beans, and Plantains). Also had the Passion Fruit smoothie drink and it very very good. Service was friendly like a family run business usually is. Can’t wait to come back and try the Cachapas and Patecon. LOVETHISPLACE!

If you’re looking for some really good Arepas and great service, this is the place! The carne asada with pico de gallo is bomb. The coffee deliciously rich!

Ok, so I’ve been going past this restaurant every day on my way to work and have been wanting to check it out(especially with all the great Unilocal reviews)! A massive hat-tip to Ches P’s review as it finally helped convince me to suggest this place as one that my co-workers and I could go to for our team lunch. Plus this also gave me an opportunity to check if the 5-star rating really lived up to the reviews and I’m happy to say that it does as it was really lovely food and exceptional service! I’ve never had Venezuelan food before and the lady was just really good about helping explain what each food item was and also gave great suggestions for team members who were vegetarian and lactose intolerant. I ended up getting a plate and trying my shredded pork with all the three different sauces. Each sauces was so unique and tasty, and each one totally changed the flavour of my pork, depending on which sauce combination I used, so it really felt I was was eating many different unique combinations of the food! I would also really recommend trying out the drinks — I got the Soursop /Guanabana with milk and it was delicious! Imagine if a lychee, banana and pineapple copulated and that what this juice tasted like. A colleague got mango and that was also very good but another diner found the passion fruit tart — but it tasted fine to me. Oh also one other thing — we went here at the tail end of lunch, and for two diners(we were a big party of 8 people), they ran out of rice so the owner instead gave them a secret menu option — apparently they’d made a potato salad(with apples, but it worked!) for their own staff lunch and so she offered this to them in lieu of the rice and so we all just loved that thoughtful gesture! Plan to come back here again with my parents and totally recommend! Note: #75 of Unilocal 100 challenge for 2016

Front of house was rather personable but there’s no way we could have done them on an hour lunch. Shredded pork, rice and beans, plantain pabellon plate was smallish for the money. A bit strong of thyme but maybe that’s just a Venezuelan thing. We ended up with an app of fried plantains we didn’t order and were talked into getting an extra empanda to go. Hmmm… Shredded beef and gouda arepa was nice enough though I thought the arepa itself was supposed to be warm and soft.

The service is very personable and friendly. The empanadas stand out as exceptional. I had the Pabellon; it includes your choice of shredded meat, rice & beans and plantains. The meal was rather small; not something you can share. We did order other items such as a Pelua arepa(beef & gouda cheese) and we received an order of fried plaintains. The plantains were great and I loved that it includes cheese on top. They also took their time. Maybe they were having an off day but it took them a long time to bring out our meals. The server did apologize for the delay. I would come back for a cup of coffee and an arepa.

Ok… I’m convinced. This place is good! It took me a while to come visit because I was waiting for more Unilocalers to chime in. And I’m kind of skeptical when i see too many 5 stars, but not enough words. So this was a recon mission to see if the rumours were true. I brought a couple of coworkers here for lunch and we all walked away happy! We had zero to no experience with Venezuelan food, but enjoyed it and want more! I’m not sure what my recent fascination is with rundown looking, nondescript plazas lately when it comes to Unilocal adventures, but this one is a good one! Don’t let the exterior turn you off. I was so disappointed when the previous restaurant that occupied this space closed, but I am glad that it opened with similar food. We were served with a mainly Spanish speaking sweet lady and sat in a cozy corner. The whole place could probably only sit 25 people. So… i had to try the beef patacon cause it was bolded on the Unilocal site… not a disappointment at all! It’s basically a shredded beef sandwich with coleslaw using tostones as the«bread» It’s definitely familiar Spanish flavors only in sandwich form. Dipped it with the green sauce and the garlic white sauce, which I’ve had at other Spanish restaurants before and still made whatever I was eating even more delicious! Also ordered the shredded chicken empanada which was also tasty. It could’ve been cooked just a little more well, so i can get that nice crunch. My friend got the Reina Pepiada aka shredded chicken and avocado empanada. And he said it tasted like a warm chicken salad with avocado. Other friend got the pabellon which is a meal that consisted of shredded beef, rice, black beans, and tostones. He liked it and compared it to a dish nearby serving Cuban food. I’m definitely going to have to go back and try their crispy chicken and possibly come for breakfast. If you are wanting to try some Spanish food that is familiar, but still different, come support this local small business and give it a go!

Great place to have lunch or dinner! These pictures do not do these dishes justice. Absolutely amazing and delicious food on its own. The garlic and green sauces they give you are flavorful and elevate the taste to another level. I wish this was closer to home, because we would eat here all the time. It’s worth trying a little of everything because it’s all delectable. I wish we had room for dessert. Delicious food and friendly service, definitely a great experience!

Loved it. The food was fresh and the waiter was great. I had the Patacon(plantain sandwich) and it was loaded with flavor. I also tried the jugo de guanabana. Delicious! Will definitely be back!

Super tasty arepas which were pretty filling! Left the hotel and consulted Unilocal on someplace close to grab a bite. Really happy that we stopped by this place.

Driving around the area and starving, we consulted Unilocal in search of deliciousness and found this spot. We adore Venezuelan Arepas and were super excited to find it. The owners are very warm and inviting and had some great suggestions. After finding out we were vegetarian(black bean and cheese arepas FTW!!!) the owner had a few questions for us about what we eat and asked for suggestions. Just super duper sweet people. The food was excellent, we had the arepa with black beans and cheese and also ordered a cheese empanada on the side to try it out. I was delighted when I bit into the empanada. The corn meal had a nice sweet taste(something like the arepas in Barranquilla, Colombia where I grew up) that went so well with the sharp white cheese. We are definitely coming back for more of their warm ambiance and delicious food!

This was my first visit to this small but very friendly restaurant. The limited menu doesn’t offer much beyond arepas so I wouldn’t recommend coming here with a big appetite. However it is a much needed added variety from the standard sports bar/fast food/chain restaurants that overpopulate the Orlando landscape.
