Used to go there every weekend! Food Wise: I like the food but really I go for the tea… I’m English at heart, I love a good black tea with cream and sugar. Service wise: Found out a bit ago that Bill was leaving… went once after he left and the Owner’s aired all kinds of dirty laundry to me(and several of my friends who went thier on different instances)… it left a very bad taste in my mouth, don’t think I’ll be returning unfortunately. There are just certain lines you don’t cross.

Hubby and I decided to try the place for lunch when visiting the area. Being in our 30’s, we loved the modern and welcoming décor that still retained the classical touches a true tea room commands such as fresh flowers on the table and linens. We ordered the«tea of the day»(free refills!) and were delighted to try a few different teas in the course of our meal as they were busy and kept brewing new, fresh teas. For lunch, I chose the Carmen Miranda salad and hubby ordered the Ben Franklin salad. Both were very large, filling, and über fresh. I loved the fresh fruit all over the Carmen salad and my DH said his was the freshest salad he had ever been served at a restaurant. The croissant sandwiches and the tapas platter that passed us toward another table also looked delicious… We’ll be back! Tip: Be sure to buy some tea from their expansive tea selection by the front door to take home and enjoy!

I had lunch with my family here. It was a horrible experience! We had to wait so long for everything. We looked over the menu and finally decided on some teas and food. It took at least 10 minutes for tea and 1 whole hour for the food! The place wasn’t even crowded. Only 3 other tables were seated. Plus they didn’t serve our table of five at the same time. Half of us were almost done eating by the time the last person got their food. Most everybody had cold prepared food. I had the 4 sandwiches with a side. The curry chicken Salad was the only spectacular thing. I will never eat here again. Poor service and way too long of a wait. I can’t believe this place has so many good ratings. DONOTEATHERE!

I too love this place! I’ve only eaten here twice but both times it was lovely. The atmosphere is just wonderful… tablecloths on the tables, mismatched(pretty!) cloth napkins, napkins rings. Wonderful Classical music playing. Exactly what you want a tea room to look/sound like! And the food! Ah, the food! The iced tea of the day was Spearmint/Peppermint tea. Oh my! What yummy, yummy tea it was! They also served us complimentary hummus along with 2 homemade wholewheat crackers. I ordered 1 of the soups of the day: Wisconsin Cheddar. OMG… that was soup that dreams are made of! For my entrée, I ordered the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, which is a pressed sandwich and made with 3 different cheeses: Cheddar, Havarti & Brie. YUM! YUM! I also ordered the Hearts of Palm on the side served with Vidalia dressing. Everything was the perfect sized portion. Being as everything was so wonderful to eat, I just had to order dessert: Raspberry Chocolate Mousse served in a Dark Chocolate Ganache. What a surprise… that was just as yummy/tasty as all the rest! What a great place to go for lunch!

This is a lovely tea room located in the Jamestown Place plaza(Publix), it faces 434 and is a few doors down from the Carrabbas. I remember this space being a Baja taco place, but I’m sure it’s been other things over the years. The revamp of the space is great, a nice expansive area to sit down, lots of 4 tops and 2 tops, a few larger tables. The tables are dressed with white linens with a mocha topper and each table had fresh flowers on it. Very picturesque and not at all over done with Shabby Chic«tea room» décor. I happen to like a nice cup of tea or a full tea. I grew up with an Irish Great G’ma, so we did tea quite a bit growing up. My friend had been here several times and suggested we stop in later this past Saturday. There is quite a list of teas to choose from. They offer a bottomless cup of the tea of the day, which I choose. My friend got a pot of the raspberry rooibos, which is a caffeine free herbal tea. The large glass pot was placed on the table, with a timer and covered with a tea cozy. Cream, honey, lemon and sugar were also delivered. If you are going for the full tea service, which we did, you have a list of sandwiches to choose from. We chose the Egg Salad, cucumber, chicken salad, hummus and nutella. All were tasty. The chicken salad was served on a croissant, which my friend enjoyed. The egg salad was tasty on marbled rye, the cucumber could have used a bit more pizazz with some herbs, but was OK as is. The nutella sandwich was yummy, made with nutella and sliced strawberries on white bread.(Why have I not done this at home?!) The dessert tray arrived piled with assorted freshly baked scones, warm crumpets, mini tarts, eclairs, cupcakes along with strawberry jam, apple butter and clotted cream. The scones were very, very nice. If you have never had a «real» scone, pop in here for a currant, blueberry or apple cinnamon scone. They are tender and delicious. Not big, tough, triangles covered in glaze that you’ll find predominately here in Orlando grocery and coffee shops. The owner stopped by to check in on us and asked for us to taste test a new mini tart, still warm from the oven, a peach cream tart. Oh my, it was delish and I hope to try it again soon. Service was great, my bottomless cup was never empty and my friend and I enjoyed a leisurely tea. Lunch is offered daily, we’ll be back. Happily, my leftover scones were enjoyed with the hubby the next day, a quick warm up in the over provided us with a nice Sunday breakfast. Lovely!

Quite possibly my favorite place in Central Florida. My fiancé. And I come here roughly every other week for lunch and always leave satisfied. The star, of course, is the tea. They have a book full of different teas to choose from, but look around the front of the shop because sometimes the new teas aren’t yet listed in the book. The book contains black, green, white, herbal, red teas and coffees. I don’t drink coffee so I can’t comment on that but every tea I’ve had is always amazing. If the Professor is around he will usually come to the table and answer any questions you have about a certain kind of tea as well as a little bit of it’s history. The teas themselves come in either a cup, small pot(2 – 3 cups), or large pot. They are also always willng to give you second infusions on any tea When we usually go the atmosphere is very laid back, it’s usually just us and 2 – 3 more tables but we don’t go at peak times. We just have some nice slow food, listen to some classical music, and sip our tea Our Recommendations Mine Czarina(egg salad, toast points, and caviar with one side [I get fruit]) and London fog to drink(black tea with vanilla, 2nd infusion is the best!) Hers The Classic(2 tea sandwiches and cup of soup) Pu-erh-tuo cha(strong, earthy compressed tea block) But before you leave get The Victoria, or just skip the food and get right to the good stuff! It’s a tray of assorted pastries(always rotating flavors) but you get crumpets, scones, tarts, and usually chocolate or some sort, mmm mmm Now I think I’m going to have to go again soon, this review has made me hungry

I love, love, love this place. My mom and I consider this an old favorite. The people are incredibly nice and the food and tea are excellent. Did a girls’ afternoon with my mom and sister and we has the afternoon tea for four. It was a ton of food and since we did the tea of the day(Iron Goddess Oolong, yum!), it was all you can drink. The sandwiches were sooo delicious, especially the pecan pâté and the chicken curry salad. And the piping hot crumpets fresh from the oven were yum-yum! Check this place out. You won’t be disappointed!

I’m digging the new location. It is bigger with chairs and tables to your right and the retail side and kitchen to your left. The tables are adorable with cute little tea cups and plates. Bill shouts out a greeting when you enter and our server came to explain the teas. She seemed a little confused and bumbling but was nice enough. They sell food now, but oddly only until 6pm. We got there by 5:30pm so were just made it. The food was very, very tasty but the portions were tiny! There were three of us so we ordered the sample tray of cheese, fruit and crackers. Teeny, tiny little bites for each of us. Next we got the tea sandwich tray with 6 quarter sandwiches. My favorite was the shrimp salad on the croissant. The egg salad was very good as well with a nice touch of mustard. The cucumber sandwich nice and cool but bland and uninspired. We finished with a trio of blueberry tarts. Again, delicious but oh so small! I realize this is a tea shop and food is supposed to be tiny but be prepared to spend like they are regular portions! I actually left still hungry. And one final thing that kind of ticked me off more and more as I thought about it… I’d made a reservation that week for a Tuesday night, no problem. AFTER we got there and ordered our food we were told we’d have to be out by 7pm because they had a private party that was going to be using every one of their 47 chairs. We didn’t even get our food order placed until 6pm! We were basically told to hurry up and pay and leave!(yes, they said it nicely, but still!) Why in the world wouldn’t they have told me this when I made my reservation? They had my phone number, they should have called. I would have changed the date or gone to Panera up the street. Either way we were rushed out and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I still like Bill and the shop and wish them well but that was NOT cool.

My family went to celebrate Mother’s Day on Saturday and while we had been warned about the service we still enjoyed ourselves. The food was good, although could have been much more attractively presented. The delivery of tea in all different types of dispensers gave no assistance to the presentation. Our server, while pleasant, was inefficient at best. My sister and I wanted to jump up and help the kitchen. Our tea took 2 hours. I’d limit the menu, turn out food quicker, get more tea pots and allow them to brew at the table. appropriate condiments(sugar, milk) etc should always be on the table.

My wife and I stopped in for their afternoon tea. I really enjoyed the experience and the Earl Grey tea. Really like the location and the service was fantastic. Try the Tea Sandwiches especially the Chicken curry croisants.

We love Bill and family! This place is great. Not only do they have awesome loose leaf tea(and so much of it!) but they also are so knowledgeable about the tea, how to make it the best, etc. Admittedly, we go in primarily for the coffee… we love the Breakfast Blend and Raven’s Brew! We also have gone for one of the free tea tastings and found that utterly fascinating. You learn, you taste, you have an awesome free night out! Definitely worth the trip if you aren’t local and if you are, why haven’t you gone by!
