Fancy Nails

I have been going to Fancy Nails since it opened years ago and if you would have asked me a few months ago what I thought my opinion would be completely different.
About every month I go in for a new color of Shellac and for the most part I am happy with the results but about a month ago in October I came in and immediately felt rushed by the attendant to pick a color (and I’m sorry if I’m spending $ 30 on nail color it better be one I really like). As soon as I hastily pointed to a color she grabbed the samples and the whole procedure felt rushed and haphazard. The shellac was very thin and began to chip off not long after.
Being the forgiving person I am, I came back to good ‘ol Fancy Nails a month later and was treated by an older man who doesn’t really speak English, I think Vincent? My cousin and I picked the same color and he quickly suggested colors that were in no way similar to the one I wanted and waited impatiently for the other one to get done. I didn’t mind the wait but he apparently did (mind you there was no one else in the shop but us) Both attendants soaked our hands in freezing cold soapy water and he began RIPPING away my cuticle. My thumb nail bled profusely (happened on other nails too but my thumb was the worst) and he kept apologizing and putting some blue solution and ALCOHOL to stop the bleeding. Of course this did more harm than good and it never quite stopped bleeding. I didn’t notice them open the tools from a new package which scares me now considering I now have an open wound.
At the checkout I asked him for a discount considering it wasn’t an excellent experience and I was still bleeding… he then proceeded to run my card for the full amount and I walked out.
I will never go here again.

I liked going to this salon, but both my DIL and I contracted nail fungus after several months of solely using Fancy Nails. They do not appear to sanitize the foot baths at all between customers.

I have been a customer of Fancy Nails sin e they opened and will not go any where else. Love all the staff that I have gotten to know over the years and they are like family to me.

Treated myself to a mani and pedi here. They have great service and the price is not too bad. The shop is clean and well taken care of. I would recommend this to anyone looking for nail services in the Altus area.
